The rules reference says that all ships in epic gain command slot, so it’s implied like the old 1.0 mod slot is. Any small ship can be a wing leader (unless that card says otherwise) or a dreadnaught Hunter

Erich Ludwig - yeah, but it’s demoralizing when your opponent has three handfuls of attack dice. Haha.
B Longo that’s the beauty of HotAC. It’s a coop campaign, so you’re going up against an AI enemy with your friends. It’s all about the ridiculous combos you can come up with. I had an ARC-170 that could do a red maneuver, gain a target lock, discard the stress token to gain a focus token, and then take an action. Usually, a boost or barrel roll if needed. It was a bit of a one trick pony, but it worked rather well

In the Epic Rules Reference, under Command Upgrade, it states that all standard ships have 1 command upgrade on the upgrade bar.
I am most excited for epic being mission based rather than just xwing but bigger. I’ve got an epic box and huge ship conversion on preorder at the LGS. Looking forward to it all!

I plan to get one of everything, for I am a completist (read: very weak!)...I already have all of the existing Huge ships, but only one each of the Raider and the GR-75, two Gozantis, two CR-90s, and three C-ROCs (because I am Scum through and through!), and will get one more of each. I would love to have a Scum vs. Separatists match at some point with two C-ROCs on each side, for example!
GR-75 can equip turbolasers, just awesome~! I only have the GR-75 and the Imperial Raider, but I am looking forward to have Tantive IV. The dice cap is... well, it might affect the epic battles, but not so much the regular battles. I don't remember anytime where I rolled more than 6 dices in X-Wing 2.0. I can think about any combo with Jan Ors (HWK-90), but that is it.
As huge as Star Destroyers and the SSD is in Armada, the detail and size of the Huge Ships in X-Wing is insane.
Attack dice of 6 is actually probably going to effect some VCX builds. I normally can only get a max of 6 but it might be possible to get more I hear.
So ready to start using my epic ships again. It’s been too long of a lapse between 2.0 and this. Feels like they’re actually doing it right this time, too. Last 1.0, 300 pt battle I had with the Raider, my friend used all small-base ships and demolished me.
Just picked up my first C-ROC, so now I have them all. I am so excited for these new products! Both of them are going to be so good. I think I'm most excited to put my 6 TIE strikers in a wing!
Hype for trying out the Raider and Gozanti in FO lists. Have all the huge ships from 1e, so just getting the conversion and epic battles. Maybe a second Raider/Gozanti down the road.

I wonder if the cap on defence dice was caused from the rebel y-wing that can have 10 defence dice? 🤔
Cannot wait to ply Separatists with the C-Roc! The CR-90 is going to be fun with the Republic also. Do you think they will release any "new" (not previously released) huge ships any time soon?
I'm super stoked for the CR90. I mostly fly Rebels and my spouse flys Republic, so it'll be fun for the whole family :p I also want a GR75, they look super cool and seem like they'd be fun to repaint

I've got all 4 huge ships already, so I'll be picking up the convetsion kit. Is there a download of all the points costs so you dont have to use the online list builder?
I wish I could afford more of the X-Wing expansions because this is right up my alley. I want the epic battle sized games with entire squadrons on a side and a capital ship too. This is where my head went when I first learned of the game.

What is the typical build total for Epic. I'm presuming we're above 200, or difficult to fit many ships in with huge ships.
It CAN be done at 200 but I believe 400 will be common for those running huge ships.
Can't wait for the conversion kit! I currently have a Gozanti and GR-75. Hope to get them all of course!
Wow. Some of these ships r cheaper than I expected. I mean the ghost is more expensive than some of these.
If I had the money for it, I would buy the raider class corvette mostly for the galactic empire.

Welcome to the game! I'd recommend going to the FFG forums or Reddit XWingTMG sections for advice on what to buy next. But in general, find a faction or two you're interested in, and dive in! Look for black boxes for 2nd edition content.
