the looper support for standalone push 3 is terrible... i'm wondering if this template will be good for the push 3 standalone will ahve to try thank you cloud chord
Have you ever used double loopers? I’ve done two loopers side by side, mapping the stop button of one to the play button of the other. Allowing for two separate loopers per each instrument in your rack. So you could theoretically double down on your looping space per each length you have set up! Thank you for this knowledge!
I see CC has his push 3 in controller mode. I"m wondering if there are any comments about using this method in Stand Alone Push 3 as the looper function in Standalone has very poor support as far as I know and everyone I've talked to becuase you can't see visually what is happening as a reference in where you are in the loop. Thank you Cloud Chord for inspiring solutions and create our own!
Very cool! Forgive me if you’ve already answered this or covered it but would love to see how you have everything routed and set up for streaming on twitch! I have done a tiny bit of it but my cpu was not happy lol
I guess I just do not get it. I have been using Ableton's built-in looping functionality for years, and I never encountered any of these issues before. I even do not use the looper plug-in; I just use Ableton as intended. Maybe I am just confused.
@@lisdexia1 So perhaps you are referring to clip recording and not the looper? I’m referring to adjusting the loop length, which is the premise of this video
props for coming up with a work around to this age old unmappable problem!! haha thnx for sharing your process :)
It's amazing how little Ableton seems to care about supporting live looping considering how many people want to use it for this purpose.
Preach!

Very cool. I'm going to have dive into this deeper. Thanks Derek!
@cloudchord - I couldn't get the template to work. It would only play the Bloop Tom.wav file....not looping my guitar.
make sure you have the track monitor on input. If you're hearing the Tom then you are on a diff input setting.
I love the Looper.... very cool solution to the mapping issue.
:)
Do you know if you can transfer this template to Push 3 and have it work the same way for standalone performance?
Try it with the clips version.I think i should work?!
Liking the setup, any chance you'd be able to show us how you would use this in a live situation
soon!

I have tried double loopers before! It's a nice hack!

Is there a way to automate to select snapshots?
yes you could use follow actions

Thanks for the idea!
Sweet! Also: great jacket :)
Great and well explained 😎

so how do you navigate between looper lengtsh on the fly?
@@OpenChannelsMusic do you mean length? I use the quantize setting.
