That pairing of Starkiller with this Vader is exactly why I also got it! I was thoroughly impressed with just how much I ended up enjoying this figure, and the head sculpt is simply top-notch.
The fabric that goes over the shoulder articulations has always prevented great poses with Vader in my opinion. Unless they do it properly, it’s gonna be a risk. Good thing that the ANH gloves are now with vertical hinges. Amazing portrait sculpt for sure and perhaps the best helmet sculpt for TBS Vader? Perhaps. Except for the painted lens, of course. Still, Vader is two steps away from greatness: shoulder armor as one piece with the tunic properly tucked in… and new legs. They’re almost there! ALMOST THERE! I got TVC Duel’s End Vader in hand and it has its own pros and cons like TBS. In a way, scales are balanced. :-)
If I ever do come across this figure I’ll pick him up for sure!!! That extra face sculpt and torso makes this so worth of a pickup!!! In my area at least, we don’t really get a lot of new figure releases!

Rebels did it better. This scene from the show kinda ticked me off a bit cause not only was the show hot garbage, the only vaguely poignant moment in the show was a direct rip off of a better moment in a better show. Insulted my intelligence and copy pasted better work. That being said, I don't blame people for liking the figure. It's a really detailed version of an iconic character so if you enjoy the figure, I am happy for you.
The new torso and gloves really make all the difference on this figure. I am really digging the look of this Vader.
