I’ve never seen Vader without his cape, and I’m just now realizing how much his armor looks like his Clone Wars armor. That shoulder armor & the draped fabric. Wow, that’s cool. And the battle damaged head is incredible!

I don’t think they will never use real leather because it would be to expensive but there are some people who made the suit with real leather the thing is that will increase the price between $100 to $ $200

Certainly Venator class ships were still serving in the Imperial Navy, but in less prominent roles. Venator class ships were used to guard the endor system when the second Death Star was being built. 21:48 Ironically, this was what early lightsabers were like according the the EU- no internal power, but a separate battery box linked via a cable that was an easy target! 😂
I could be wrong, but when they filmed ANH they made motorized hilts for when the saber was lit. Back then you had a wire running from the battery box to the hilt.
As far as I know, Hayden Christensen is shorter than Prowse. But then Vader is also played by a body double in the Kenobi series in many scenes. Some have claimed that Hayden is only in the suit when the mask is damaged.

My perfect Vader helmet has 3 main features. Goggles aren’t too big. Small gap between eyebrows and the top of the helmet. And finally minimal gap between the helmet and shoulders. And glossy black!!! I know that’s 4.

Ive no idea why every figure and costume for Vader in the shows and games recently has had a collar on the cape, its not accurate to any of the OG trilogy films. I think they started doing it in Jedi Fallen Order and its bugged me ever since honestly lol. Great review though!
Idk about the whole leather thing 🤔 If they used genuine leather, idk if we'd have good articulation.....leather isn't soft and supple. Its hard and thick, and doesn't move well and DOES crack just like everything else does. I feel like leather thats soft enough for articulation would shoot this figure into the thousand dollar range. I just don't know though. Have you experienced full body suits in leather on a 6th scale figure? Perhaps it isn't quite how i think it would be.
I think the reason they use pleather is because it’s cheaper production wise - I think if the used real leather it would cost substantially more money to mass produce . But that just my theory 🤓

Justin, do you know if the neck adapter the head goes in is a replaceable part? Mine snapped by simply removing the head to swap sculpts and now it won’t hold the head anymore. :(

Hey Justin! My vader arrived today finally! Hands down the best vader I've ever touched. Makes my Sideshow ROTJ (the one with the Shaw headsculpt) look like a Disney store toy by comparison! Question for you though....did you notice this figure's wrist pegs don't move? Or is mine.....wrong? Like the pegs don't twist inside the arm. They're fixed in place like I'll break it if I try to twist them? Is yours like that? Perhaps it's a feature not an issue? Before I contact support lol.
Yes, I hate that no one is mentioning about the pleather. The boots and belts should've been sculpted. Can this Vader head fit on the sideshow Vader? Or the other way around , change this Vader boots with the sideshow Vader boots?
The third one isn’t unannounced in the Star Wars continuity we seen him in Star Wars rebels and the last one was also in rebels or animated Star Wars show and he made it into live action don’t know what your going on about? Edit: although Reva wasn’t ever in Star Wars of any kind she’s just apart of Disney’s garbage statement of trying nothing more than that

Seems like they only ever did it well with the DX17 (I think that's the number) Darth Maul. That swing effect had a thicker edge where the color shifted a bit so you could tell which way the blade is swinging etc. These newer releases, they phoned in the shape and color! I miss Sideshow's old lightsaber style. Their hilts sucked because sideshow can't paint to save their lives lol but the blades were more accurate vibrate colors and had molded effects making them seem more realistic
that junction box reminds me of the back up batteries we photographers used to use for our flashes. This a very handsome Vader. i've always hated those plastic pseudo saddle/crotch cradle stands. My figues always fall off of them.

I had been waiting over 20 years for the one "definitive" Darth Vader 1/6 figure and I'm so glad I pre-ordered this and finally received it last month. It's spectacular.
Be cooler if they had an Anakin body with his cyborg implants separate from the actual Vader life support suit and the suit in separate pieces to assemble onto his body.
I picked up the deluxe version of this Vader from my local Hot Toys store, someone cancelled their preorder and I was lucky enough to snag him! This is definitely the definitive version of Darth Vader, but now knowing he has the pleather material I just hope he lasts as long as he can. Fortunately for me I don’t live in a humid environment at all so in that regard he’s gonna last a long time. Thanks for another great video Justin. 🔥🔥 PS: When will you be on another livestream with Will & Keco, because I love seeing all three of you together because you all rock and I love hearing you guys discuss all things 1/6th scale. 😆
The figure is amazing and I love the light up features and battle damaged head. I have the ROTJ Darth Vader and I love that Vader but this one is way better.

If not for the pleather, this figure would have been a 10/10. Hot Toys should have released a battle damaged version only without the interchangeable parts for non-damaged. Then they can sculpt a more realistic battle damaged Vader on the suit. Look at the Mark 85 Battle damaged Iron Man. The battle damaged level is very realistic just like in the movie.

Either way you get the distinction I was trying to make. 2 different lads in the suits, there's a difference in height

I have to say after gettin it, the leather part of the capeneck is way to big.. doesnt fit under the helmet at all...
You can get the front part under but not the back easily
