Gary was almost throwing at his deadliest here. Unfortunately when I watched his Madison Square Garden debacle he was trying to do what he knew he always did. Unfortunately he never did what he is certain he of. Can't see it, can't feel it. A host of Bowmen did it to an even bigger conglomerate of French Knights at Agincourt. You won't read that in the so- called history books.

Seeing Suljović going for D14 I wonder if there is a statistic about how good players actually are at their favourite doubles or if they "suffer" from selective perception.

However, Unicorn already get plenty of stick for their board quality, and rightfully so. It's beautiful to look at but the sisal is so compact that there are lots of fallouts.

Until Mensur hit the scene, I used to prefer the fast paced games, such as Gary and MVG. However, his unique throwing style makes for great entertainment. While this game probably wasn’t the best example, his ability to take out uncommon checkouts, along with Peter Wright, makes for such exciting viewing!! While I’ll always adore Gary, it was a shame to see his average game a tumble, though his aggression after hitting that 180 in the 38th leg made up for it :)!! After moving abroad a few years back and unable to watch, I’m so glad full matches have been posted on UA-cam
Mensur had darts to win 4 legs on a trop if I could have won 2 he had a massive chance to be champion , quality game best matchplay final I've ever seen
@@brendanjordan1521 he is a human being. Sometimes emotions are stronger than you. Gary is a great sportsman as well but sometimes he can be a serious complainer. They are just human beings. I can relate with being a good sportsman and a jerk when your emotions just override you.
I refer to this as the "121 Blackpool final" and it was 21 legs to 19 the final score and the match is 1:21:08😁🤔I wonder was 121 left 21 times, I was too glued to count
The bounce out of the bull on anderson’s 121 didn’t touch the wire Wayne. Unicorns are just plain crap sir ! It was the same as what happened at uk open vs hogan.
This is why we need former players like Phil Taylor instead of some of the women or even Wayne mardle on commentary. They know what it’s like to win the final so can put themselves in each players shoes
