- What a match this was as two of the greatest of all time faced off in the Semi-Finals of the 2014 World Matchplay! This certainly is a Winter Gardens classic!
I like Gary Anderson throw but when I try and do it I hit the wall

It’s a satisfying throw but it requires so much control as he uses 2 fingers plus a spin it’s tricky

All of the Darts players' throw is unique. Don't copy one. That can't work out. And, I say that even though I hit jack on a Darts board.

Not a fan of his person, but, there's no denying that he has been the most skilled, consistent and professional player. I don't see anyone right now being able to match what he did. There are a lot of good players, but, he was the crème de la crème. Crazy good. And, a very good attitude for this game as well.

As an American that is relatively new to darts, it's painful that I wasn't able to witness the kind of domination discussed at 17:00 or so. Phil had 18 of the best 20 televised averages? Christ!!! Lol
Van gerwen a few years after had a spell that saw him dominate just like taylor did in his prime. Yet, as fun as it can be to watch high level darts like that, I'd still prefer not knowing there's a 90% chance of 1 specific guy winning

@emileheskey2754 in some sports (football, F1 ect) I agree watching 1 person/team constantly win can be tedious. But when a darter, golfer or tennis player can be that great in a sport that is purely 1 vs 1 it's a whole different level of greatness.

Top 3 but MVG-Taylor are 1&2.
I would put him at 3... Taylor and mvg 1.... 2......bristow and barney will round out top5
Peter Wright has the smoothest throw out of the lot of them.
He may end top 2 of all time. Don't think we'll ever see someone dominate the way Taylor did for 20 years, as the darts quality has improved that much.
