Some mushrooms are many thousands of years old spaning many acres if you give them food and the right environment they will flourish

To remove Chorine from city water, simply let sit exposed to air overnight. Pour water into a bowl and leave it on the counter for 12 or more hours. Chorine naturally evaporates away. Also, there is a small error in temperature to dry out mushrooms. Turn pan on lowest heat setting. Alternatively, you can slice as recommended and place it in an oven at its lowest setting. @@epicgardening dope video! Aye but I had an important question: what if your lions mane mushroom flushes 2x to 3x in about a 2 months time. Is that good or normal??
I have grown this and use a $20 tabletop IKEA greenhouse, along with a glass of water inside, to keep the humidity high. I double process (look up the research to see that neurogenesis is from aqua-extract) with water, then alcohol. I use 80 proof, then mix it 1-1 with water for 40 proof. It has been shelf stable for me. A $30 grow kit and $20 in Vodka yielded me about 50 ounces of extract...if you buy Lion's Mane extract retail it is $20/ounce. Boiling will not remove chlorine or chlorimine from the water. It will actually increase the concentration because the steam coming off is without the chemicals. I would recommend distilled, reverse osmosis or just rain water.
You will like them. Don't have a strong mushroom flavor, they are very mild and delicious. I personally don't think they taste like seafood. Guess that could be because the last minute or two of cooking when I add the butter, I sprinkle with a little salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Delicious! Can eat a whole big bowl all on their own. You will love them.
You put the hot water into the plastic spray bottle letting plenty of plastic residues into the water that are probably worse than the chlorine you boiled off. Good video still so thanks for sharing. I'm just a plasti-phobe is all.
@@jasonlynch6936 - I think the key difference is putting hot water into plastics. Isn't THAT what tends to start the chemicals leaching into the water? That's why they say you shouldn't leave water bottles in your car.
I'd actually rather grow this mushroom on logs outside. Then bone dry them out, and soak in port wine (like I do Chaga). That way you get the oils extracted in the raw. So more medicinal that way.
You cannot boil chlorine out of water. You can only change the state I would recommend using natural spring or mountain water and boiling it to get rid of all the contaminants that can infect your mushrooms.

Try NAC as well. Treats Alzhei ers and a dozen other issues. Its an amino acid. No side effects. Take 2400mg in divided doses daily.
Slowly I'm growing, slowly digesting the recipe for growth, indeed must be clean clean clean
You can get some really good magic mushrooms from Scottytripz

5:00 me every time I cook
Boiling will not remove chlorine or chlorimine from the water. It will actually increase the concentration because the steam coming off is without the chemicals. I would recommend distilled, reverse osmosis or just rain water.
I would love to taste that mushroom. I'm not sure if I want to grow it before knowing if I like it. Thanks for sharing. Loved the video!
It's SO good. Highly recommend if you like seafood!
I'm just a plasti-phobe is all.
guess ur not into drinking milk or soda or riding in cars or burshing your teeth LOL HA BRAAAA
@@jasonlynch6936 - I think the key difference is putting hot water into plastics. Isn't THAT what tends to start the chemicals leaching into the water? That's why they say you shouldn't leave water bottles in your car.
I know, I shivered when he poured the hot water in cheap plastic 😬
@@HipDancerGirl23 - That wasn't the point though.
He should have used filtered water instead of tap water.
When can you take the outer grow bag off? Mine are getting big, and I don’t know if I should keep putting the misted bag over them?
I got my psychedelic products from @lightztripz on Instagram They also grow mushrooms 🍄 and sell and lot more....
i think you did great.
Nice!!! Thanks for the info!!! I'm going to try it with lobster seasoning.
Is there any research into farming mushrooms without the petroleum based plastic bags? Thank you.
I'm sure there is - I'm not aware of...will research for future mushroom videos
try google.... thousands upon thousanda of tek
How long did it take to grow that mushroom?
Awesome video! New sub. What physical benefits and mental benefits does lion's mane provide? What kind of wood does it grow in?
I bought a kit three weeks ago and I still don’t see any colonization. Any ideas?
Wow so delicious. Thank u.
Can you also teach us how to grow other types of mushrooms, like *cordyceps* mushrooms?
On Instagram.
I grew some in my yard.
Can you put these in a dehydrator as opposed to cooking? Just a random thought.
I believe so but may work better w/ other mushrooms (shiitake, morel)
I need to touch that mushroom! It's a fluffy mushroom
On Instagram..
I'd actually rather grow this mushroom on logs outside. Then bone dry them out, and soak in port wine (like I do Chaga). That way you get the oils extracted in the raw. So more medicinal that way.
Sounds fantastic...love that technique.
I've been doing my extracts in vodka...can you share why port wine is important? And might be better?
@@lucybrenton149 It's important to a hipster.
Can the top growth be used for any sort of transfer to other substrate? To keep good genetics in a perpetual growth cycle?
Seems like that would be the case.
You cannot boil chlorine out of water. You can only change the state I would recommend using natural spring or mountain water and boiling it to get rid of all the contaminants that can infect your mushrooms.
