I've got a soundrcaft notepad 12FX and it's a great little mixer. I hardly ever use the built in effects but they are nice to have. (I run a modular system into it and do most of my FX in my rig)

I think to qualify for ‘desk’ status, you need to be able to rest your feet on it. Bonus points if you can precariously place an open cup of coffee or tea on it, too.
