Hit me up if you need an electrician/photographer to help out. I'm camping in Pleasant bay also in August if you guys want some East Coast humor. I'm already jealous that Simon D'entrimont tracked you down lol
A nice possibility for the bell would be to make a mount for it outside on the property. Imagine a square-ish brick base with the bell and a small peaked roof over it. It could be your door bell!! LOL
A couple of things Gavin; Firstly, if you venture into the bat`s domain to clean up the guano, please wear a respirator and secondly, the attic and bell tower would make a perfect mother-in-law abode.
I love Amanda's mum. She's brilliant and that old church looks awesome. Really looking forward to the new channel not to mention the old channel in a new location!
Hello Gavin and Amanda. Just started following your channels and I must admit, you've restarted my Interest in Landscape photography once again. I like the way you do your videos and the bloopers, ha ha. You've made watching and learning landscape videos more entertaining. Thanks for all you do.
I am gunna miss the mountains and the chemistry with the guys but looking forward to new sights and new adventures. Hopefully we see that strut into the Atlantic in the next video
Loving that vaulted ceiling and your framing looks solid from what I could see. Once upon a time my channel was largely about building our timber framed house.
Uh, that was quite the twist for the channel! Looking forward to checking out your new channel, too! I hope renovating the church goes well and that you two like it in Nova Scotia :)
Brilliant. Amanda's mum is a comic genius. The church is beautiful. You now have your own chuch to get married in! Come on Gavin, do the right thing. 😂
Congrats on the move. I hope you are okay with the occasional Nor'easters. I understand there are lots of possibilities for some incredible photography. I'm looking forward to the next video!
Jenny is great! Should feature more often. What did you say her phone number is? seriously good luck on the church renovation. Cool project. Bay of Fundy is terrific and the tide are awe inspiring.
My wife and I also bought a place in Nova Scotia which was close to 100 years old. You are about to start a journey and a half. lol I have been waiting to see your new videos of landscape photography in Nova Scotia. Where our house was, we had quite long drives to even get to interesting places. We were 1 hour from the main highway. There is a price to pay for seclusion. From the map you showed in the video, it looks like you're closer to Halifax than we were. We were on Chedabucto Bay near Canso, in the middle of nowhere. I do envy you having the camper so you will be ably to stay overnight where necessary. Can't wait for the new videos.
Just discovered your channel while watching Simone's channel. You and your wife have my sense of humor and from your accent you must be from the North of UK. I grew up in Yorkshire but now live in Brampton, Ontario. Best thing I ever did. Canada is such a beautiful place. If you are every in Toronto, come over for an authentic Indian curry :-) Love you channel!! Looking forward to your reno!
Excited for your other channel and to see what you do with the old church. I'm curious, how did your cats do on the drive? My cats flips out just going to the vet once a year.
Awesome. Head out to Scots bay, Lawrence town, The Ovens...those are decent. I also got great milkway shots out by Peggy's cove. There's also a few falls out and about that haven't been to yet. Happy shooting!
100 year church sounds pretty new to me could have gone to Yorkshire and found some thing propped old like from circa 1200, will look for ward to seeing what you do with the new pad :)
I'm following you for a very long time and love to binge watch all the episodes I missed. This was by far the funniest. I laughed so hard - you found your master in Amandas mother!
I knew we’d finally see Gavin’s massive bell, just a matter of time 🤣 Looks cool though so finding a way to keep it would be awesome. Renovation looks fun though, and good luck with it. Top tip for old places: Get yourself a good face mask with proper filters that seal to your face to handle dust (bat crap) etc, not those little paper things, and tough gardening gloves. Number of times I’ve saved my hands from lacerations from old nails or a dose of tetanus while wearing a pair as I fix up and handle old timber is crazy. Now I have another channel to follow! 👍
This one was very funny. I love Jenny! You are a lucky man ;-) Already subscribed to the new channel. Can't wait to see your first landscape vlog from NS. BTW: If you think Vancouver Island is crowded, you should come to the Alps (Bavaria, Austria or Switzerland), there it is really crowded.
You guys are having too much fun And definitely beautiful shots I could use some advice on some of mine obviously my Lightroom editing skills sucks and yours is really good
It's finally confirmed what we all knew already - there are bats in your belfry. However Amanda, being well brought-up, has already learned the essentials of living: with the camper outside, cleanliness is truly next door to godliness.
Hahaha. UA-cam popped up an add just before ol'mumsey said hello. Fully interrupting her. Sad to see you leave bc. Might be time for me to go. Not the same as it used to be. Cost is insane.
Mother in laws… they’re the same all over mate 😐 One chapter closes and another one opens mate. All the best with your new endeavour. Can’t wait to see the carnage 🤣
Puredeadbrilliant! awesome episode mate, I am sure that was Nessie and not Killer whales, fantastic project you have taken on all the best of luck with it and I will check out Hardcastle Towers for sure.
I totally understand why you moved to the opposite coast. My in-laws aren't even in the same country. 🤣 Hopefully the massive crater-like potholes here in Winnipeg didn't do too much damage to your camper.
I bought a money pit in 1998. Sucked the beegeezuzz out a me, workin 2 jobs, farm chores till midnight, up at 5 commuting into Toronto. Lasted 2 years. Wishing you nothing like my experience. Love your photos.
Faulty Towers here we come! Does Amanda's mum have a channel I like her she is really good in front of the camera unlike some! Yes I will watch the new channel do we get paid? Thank you for keeping us informed about what's going on, I shall not watch this until the end Adam has just put something on and I never miss any of his stuff...
Haven’t got half way through yet and PMSL, you obviously have the same relationship with your mother in law that I do, love her! By the way Gav, friend of mine a few years ago started a bit of research around the fact that our Welsh chapels were built using wood shipped from NS. Now that many are being knocked down the wood from the pulpits are being reclaimed and sent back to NS for building projects- now that’s recycling on steroids isn’t it? Brilliant, oh, and your work 😂
Ok you have convinced me to subscribe too Hardcastle Towers because your going to need all the money you can get. Good luck and plenty of cash your going to need it.🙂👍
Exiting times indeed Gavin, im going to head over and tickle your bell for the build channel right now. By the way, i noticed tonight that Mr Gibbs has a tick thing after his name and there is not one after yours??
With a ceiling that high, are you planning on converting it to a two story? I would love to have someplace like that to renovate. Good Luck to you. Going to subscribe to the new channel now.
Brilliant video the difference between your mum in law and my soon to be mum in law is that she always wants to sell my photos for me 😂😂 + you should try and get a trip to Ireland and do the Wild Atlantic Way think you and your misses would have an amazing time over here with no mother in law keep happy snapping dude
Watch the new channel here ua-cam.com/video/U7OS9Mkg2dI/v-deo.html
Hit me up if you need an electrician/photographer to help out. I'm camping in Pleasant bay also in August if you guys want some East Coast humor. I'm already jealous that Simon D'entrimont tracked you down lol
I love the bloopers. Amanda's mum is really cool!
Is...is this Amanda's mum?
@@fototripper 😂
Amanda's Mum is cool, we were best friends in Gander. Funny, pretty and always up for adventures.
OMG, this is fantastic. You make me want to pick up the camera and have fun. We aren't in this genre, but you are my new favorite channel
A nice possibility for the bell would be to make a mount for it outside on the property. Imagine a square-ish brick base with the bell and a small peaked roof over it. It could be your door bell!! LOL
Nothing feeds creativity like change. All the best on your move and photo shoots to come. BTW, Jenny is quite the looker! Awesome baby blues...
A couple of things Gavin; Firstly, if you venture into the bat`s domain to clean up the guano, please wear a respirator and secondly, the attic and bell tower would make a perfect mother-in-law abode.
yes… bird/bat droppings are laden with all kinds of exciting microbes, aome of which our bodies don’t take kindly to
Instant sub to the new channel as well! We don't have a church but we've renovated an old house for many years.
Congratulations on your new church, wish you four all the best and hope that you'll make from the house a home.
I love Amanda's mum. She's brilliant and that old church looks awesome. Really looking forward to the new channel not to mention the old channel in a new location!
You could turn the bell into a wash basin or bird bath.
a 600 lbs bird bath hahaha
Anything Hardcastle has my support!
Good luck on the new adventure and Subscribed to the new channel.
Thanks a lot John :)
Hello Gavin and Amanda. Just started following your channels and I must admit, you've restarted my Interest in Landscape photography once again. I like the way you do your videos and the bloopers, ha ha.
You've made watching and learning landscape videos more entertaining. Thanks for all you do.
Very nice looking church. And awesome that you're thinking about recycling everything. Best of luck! Cant wait to see how you get settled.
I am gunna miss the mountains and the chemistry with the guys but looking forward to new sights and new adventures. Hopefully we see that strut into the Atlantic in the next video
What a great adventure you signed up for! Congrats and I'm wishing you much success with the renovation.
I'm sad there wasn't a mention of tickling your bell. Looks like a fun project, can't wait to see how it turns out.
Now that's how you 'change' your channel! So much work ahead and so excited for you!
you're the most entertaining photographer I ever watch, dope scenario
Loving that vaulted ceiling and your framing looks solid from what I could see. Once upon a time my channel was largely about building our timber framed house.
Can't believe you didn't take the chance to drive down the shores of Lake Superior. You missed out on some pretty prime locations.
I'm excited to see your new photography adventures, Garmin.
That was brilliant 😆, heading over to the new channel now.
Best wishes to the both of you, embarking on a new chapter in your lives ❤
Uh, that was quite the twist for the channel! Looking forward to checking out your new channel, too! I hope renovating the church goes well and that you two like it in Nova Scotia :)
Great, a sequel to Faulty after all these years 🙂. Subscribed!
Brilliant. Amanda's mum is a comic genius. The church is beautiful. You now have your own chuch to get married in! Come on Gavin, do the right thing. 😂
Good luck on the move. Subscribed. I am sure the church will be big enought for both Amnda's and your mums.
Thanks Steve: )
Good luck and looking forward to your eye on the east coast, both of them....
Congrats on the move. I hope you are okay with the occasional Nor'easters. I understand there are lots of possibilities for some incredible photography. I'm looking forward to the next video!
I hope the trip was good, and that you don't hit too many snags in NS. I believe I spotted the Peggy's Cove lighthouse...can't wait for that one.
Please see whether you can get that bell back to work as intended. It will be a treasure for generations to come.
Jenny is great! Should feature more often. What did you say her phone number is? seriously good luck on the church renovation. Cool project. Bay of Fundy is terrific and the tide are awe inspiring.
Looking forward to your new channel and new adventures.
Looking forward to the new adventures of Mr. and Mrs. Hardcastle. Btw, does Jenny have a channel? She's very funny. :)
I can see already this is a good move. Jenny looks happier than I've seen her in any video!
I can't wait to see what you do with this project. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So excited for this new journey!
My wife and I also bought a place in Nova Scotia which was close to 100 years old. Aaaah but the tranquility...
I know this isn't your forte, but that church would be amazing for a portrait studio with those HIGH ceilings.
So exciting! Congratulations!
Just discovered your channel while watching Simone's channel.
You and your wife have my sense of humor and from your accent you must be from the North of UK. I grew up in Yorkshire but now live in Brampton, Ontario. Best thing I ever did. Canada is such a beautiful place.

Love you channel!!
Looking forward to your reno!
Been there and done that when we moved an old schoolhouse onto a plot of land in New Zealand.
BEST OF LUCK!!
The bell tower would make a great spot for a telescope Gavin.
I’m jealous good luck with the conversion I’m of to check out your new channel
Crazy positive family :D. What a project ahead - I am going to follow this right now! Very inspiring!
Excited for your other channel and to see what you do with the old church.
I'm curious, how did your cats do on the drive? My cats flips out just going to the vet once a year.
They were surprisingly chill.
Cool, what a fantastic opportunity, looking forward to this.
I was wondering about the bloopers - Amanda’s Mum is so funny!
Nice to see you get along with your mother in law.
Three minutes in and cheeks already aching from subconscious grinning!
you should come to Peru for birding. if ever want to let me know❤
I should just come to Peru.
Awesome. Head out to Scots bay, Lawrence town, The Ovens...those are decent. I also got great milkway shots out by Peggy's cove. There's also a few falls out and about that haven't been to yet. Happy shooting!
What a nice photo of those trees.
And the moving.
That's gonna be a big job.
It was a monumental task.
100 year church sounds pretty new to me could have gone to Yorkshire and found some thing propped old like from circa 1200, will look for ward to seeing what you do with the new pad :)
Oh dear! They've moved into Hardcastle's Tower, it's now Gavin 'The Mad Monk' 'the bells the bells'
I'm following you for a very long time and love to binge watch all the episodes I missed. This was by far the funniest. I laughed so hard - you found your master in Amandas mother!
Love your mum-in-law... she's hilarious.
Do NOT EVER get rid of that bell! Keep it, clean it, and perhaps move it elsewhere in or on the property, but KEEP IT! (Amanda's Mom is hilarious!)
Damn, I love the outtakes! Pisser! Heading over to sub to your new channel. :-)
As always I enjoyed your video. Also you get extra points for taking your cats with you. Many people would leave their pets behind.
NEVER!
Bloody brilliant. Good luck with the conversion
Now your bell can actually be tickled 😅
I would have had to stop by Rouleau, Saskatchewan (aka Dog River) to see the town of one of my favorite TV shows...Corner Gas.
Hi Gavin, mentioned you in recent video, as one of my favorite channels to watch.
Thanks muchly :)
very best of luck will hop over to the new channel now !
I spotted Peggy’s Cove. One of my. FAVORITE photo spots.
All the best to you and Amanda buddy, loved the bloopers to lol 😂
I knew we’d finally see Gavin’s massive bell, just a matter of time 🤣
Looks cool though so finding a way to keep it would be awesome.

Now I have another channel to follow! 👍
Massive job ahead of you..Good luck with it
This one was very funny. I love Jenny! You are a lucky man ;-)
Already subscribed to the new channel. Can't wait to see your first landscape vlog from NS.
BTW: If you think Vancouver Island is crowded, you should come to the Alps (Bavaria, Austria or Switzerland), there it is really crowded.
oh no doubt. Can't be worse than Banff though...
You guys are having too much fun
And definitely beautiful shots I could use some advice on some of mine obviously my Lightroom editing skills sucks and yours is really good
No wildlife - Grumpy often looked pretty wild to me.
keep up the good work, great fun to watch, love the outakes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good luck on the West Coast - glad you got to see East Coast Orca before leaving ;-)
Hardcastle Towers, with your humor on top… Fawlty Towers revisited??? ;)
I so love these videos....and your know what Gavin..."You are lucky"....as Amanda's mom rightly stated!
It's finally confirmed what we all knew already - there are bats in your belfry. However Amanda, being well brought-up, has already learned the essentials of living: with the camper outside, cleanliness is truly next door to godliness.
Yes this man definitely has bath in the belfry and it is so funny on how they put things together
Hahaha. UA-cam popped up an add just before ol'mumsey said hello. Fully interrupting her. Sad to see you leave bc. Might be time for me to go. Not the same as it used to be. Cost is insane.
You'll miss us over here on the best coast, but please do come for a visit now and then ;). Cheers!
I'm a big fan of your MIL. She needs more camera time. But I think she works better with Adam........ :^)
Mother in laws… they’re the same all over mate 😐
One chapter closes and another one opens mate. All the best with your new endeavour. Can’t wait to see the carnage 🤣
Technically orcas belong to the dolphin family, but Jenny doesn't have to know ;)
Looking forward to seeing Nova Scotia landscapes!
Hopefully the massive crater-like potholes here in Winnipeg didn't do too much damage to your camper.
Hey Gavin . That’s one hell of a doorbell you have upstairs 😂
😂😂😂😂😂 Love this episode. You are so lucky to have two such wonderful women in your life 😂 I assume you moved to get away from Adam and Clarence?
Your Killen me here.
Hahahaha
The beginning is hilarious so far.
hahaha I love it Gareth. can't wait to see your Church conversion. I'll sub to that too 👍
Good luck you two. Have you watched that oldish film called 'The Money Pit'? 😆😆
I bought a money pit in 1998. Sucked the beegeezuzz out a me, workin 2 jobs, farm chores till midnight, up at 5 commuting into Toronto. Lasted 2 years. Wishing you nothing like my experience. Love your photos.
Congrats man. What an adventure. I assume the MUCH lower costs of NS living will set you up for a future full of adventure.
So far the only lower cost we've seen is real estate and gas prices but that's just compared to BC.
Faulty Towers here we come! Does Amanda's mum have a channel I like her she is really good in front of the camera unlike some! Yes I will watch the new channel do we get paid? It is, whoever is doing that should gerrin touch...
Ok you have convinced me to subscribe too Hardcastle Towers because your going to need all the money you can get. Good luck and plenty of cash your going to need it.🙂👍
The best actress award goes to .................................. your mother-in-law
You could not ask for a better mother in law! Amanda's mum is the best 🤣
Exiting times indeed Gavin, im going to head over and tickle your bell for the build channel right now. By the way, i noticed tonight that Mr Gibbs has a tick thing after his name and there is not one after yours??
he has ticks?
It seems you’re as popular as Heaton, the spammers are replying to comments
With a ceiling that high, are you planning on converting it to a two story?
I would love to have someplace like that to renovate. Good Luck to you.
Going to subscribe to the new channel now.
oh fo sho!
When you said “Catalogue” I was straight back to working at Grattan Mail Order in Bradford… “a catalogue of disasters”
Welcome to beautiful Nova Scotia. :)
Have you seen the Holy Ghost yet? Perhaps a future video if you do....
I'm praying that renovation well. Greg
There has been some spirit action...
