This video reinforces to me what I already knew; I follow you closely because of the way you see your environment and how you capture it. From the cadence of your story telling to your subtle processing, you are a great inspiration to me. I honestly don’t care what you share, but I will say this type of solo adventure is exactly where photography fits into my own life and you do it amazingly well and it really gets my juices flowing. You’re honest, transparent and very relatable and the drone work and photos were absolutely beautiful. And on top of all of it, I saw a side a Vancouver Island I’ve never seen before. Fantastic work my man!
@@QuietLightPhoto Couldn’t agree more with the above comments, and what an absolutely stunning place for an adventure. Well worth staying out for that 2nd night as that cloud inversion was superb.
Spectacular images from the beautiful mountain peaks of V.I. ! Took my breath away, the magical mist enveloping around the majestic mountain valleys and crests. What a feat of photography and hiking combined! The drone video breathtaking!
My husband is the photographer, and he follows your work. We watched these two episodes of your hiking adventures together and I really enjoy this sort of content. I think you'd find more people joining your channel because this type of adventure appeals to a greater audience! 👌👍
Adam, absolutely awesome. I fully agree that this new kind of UA-cam is a great addition to your "normal" photo videos and I look forward to seeing more of them. I loved the drone flight with you standing on the ridge alone, as if the world belongs to you at that moment.
Thank you so much, Adam. We do not know each other but having followed you for many years I believe I can recognise an inspired photographer in you when you are on these kind of adventures. This is your kind of photography. And may I add that to me you are probably the one of the old F4 who does the best, most interesting B-roll so videos in this class you can surely keep making. Hope you will get many views and most of all - enjoy your time photographing in what looks like a beautiful country. Best, Jon
Congratulations, Adam! Amazing footage and images. Amazing landscape, spectacular light and mood as well as great adventure. I enjoy watching your videos. Serious photography. Great variety. Inspirational. A lot t learn from. Thanks a lot!
Really enjoyed it Adam! It is stunning beautiful, the time lapse of the clouds, the drone footage of the landscape, the music and of course, your photography. Everything comes together perfectly, I’m just so touched, looking forward to more of your adventures in your channel 👍👏💕 But be safe, make sure you have water 😄
What an amazing video--the sights, sounds, music, time lapses, drone footage, editing!--and then, there's the photography! Wow! This is Gibbs at his best. Thanks, Adam. I enjoyed the hike, one I could not have done, and the photos. Cheers from Texas.
I'm sat here with my mouth gaping open. That drone footage is stupendous, and so is the rest of it. What a spot, and to think I went by that trailhead a little more than a week ago.
Hey Adam. It's impressive to watch things develop and eventually merge. Your last two videos are really impressive and viewed from each side on a different level. I like this lightness and relaxed atmosphere that sets in after a few minutes and you have the feeling of being on the trail with you and all this combined with your masterful craftsmanship is just great. I am looking forward to the next videos best regards from Germany.
We love watching what you love doing. Like how you blended the two images of mountain face (Exposing for lights) and colorful sky (exposing for darks). Without words it was easy to understand you were focus blending. ❤❤❤❤
What an incredible spot to camp! And such amazing conditions too with those layers and the inversion. Those cliffs, though.... 😱 Definitely enjoying these backpacking vlogs 👍
This and the 5040 video are awesome! Stunning images both with photos and footage and one thing that should also be mentioned is your choice of music in your videos which always suits the videos.
Absolutely beautiful Adam, I must admit a bit vicarious for me as I live in the Appalachian Mountains and we do not have peaks, although beautiful in many other ways especially with our waterfalls and creeks ❤ cheers mate, always an inspiration
This is up there with your very best videos , possibly my favourite ever. Wonderful adventure and superb photography. I appreciate all the effort that has gone into this!! Looking forward to getting the new book. And yes, please tie your shoelaces next to 3000 ft high cliffs !
Please keep doing these type of videos, adventure videos plus photography, they are by far the best to watch. Too many UA-camrs coming away from this type, which is a real shame. Great video and awesome photos as usual 👍👍
Adam, I enjoy this format of "adventure photography!" Its a terrific combination of two of the things I enjoy most - hiking and photography! Hope to see more of it!
This was quite the beautiful video and great effort on all fronts! You managed to get great photos, and video, drone footage, timelapse all while slowly dying of mountain house 200 percent sodium dehydration. Glad you stuck around for that 3rd day to catch that undercast. Love these adventure videos.
Absolutely wonderful video about this hiking-trip. I enjoyed it a lot, the very good and fitting music as well as your narrative style and the moving pictures ( especially of the hike up there through the woods) and the great selection of photos and the way you came to the results as well by working with the raws. The little Fuji-kit seems really very capable indeed and light enough to hike up and down😂
Fantastic video Adam. This is a great idea to show more adventures!!! Keep up with this theme please. Although I was a bit worried about you doing it solo since there is no margin for error if an accident or illness strikes.
Hell yeah you’re crazy! 🤪 But loved every minute of the video. 😉 Your adventures are fun escapes for most of us who’ll never see or experience anything like it. But then I also think all of your videos are mini adventures. Hope your future adventures take you into the woods once in a while though 🙏😊. Gorgeous images! 🎉
Way to go Adam! I always remember watching and discovering your channel when you did more of this type of adventure travel. Specifically remember your trip to Cobalt Lake and Amethyst Lakes, as I have been there myself. Great video and what a sight! Wolfgang
1800m of elevation with camera & camping gear - bravo Mr Gibbs. Great to see you back in the mountains again, I think when I 1st started watching the channel this felt like your regular environment. Stunning scenery and captured in your individual style. When you was doing your piece to camera at abt 7 mins (looking towards the peak) I was thinking how big VI must be - it always surprises me - my lad spent 10 days around there when he spent the winter of 2023 snowboarding in whistler & remarked how fab it was. The video & images, stunning as always. Day 3.. wow I was going to ask about watter as there looked to be no running streams in the environment. The image at 17:22 was all that you could have wished for I bet.. inversion, light n colour - fabulous. The piece de resistance though had to be that drone footage of you stood on the peak...wowser. Great watch Adam. atb Alan
i applaud your decision to make a little more adventure video. rather fewer videos a year, but then this fantastic quality. thank you very much for your great work. i really appreciate your work and tips on image composition and have learnt a lot here.
Got interrupted the other day and am so glad I went back to finish this amazing video. The time-lapses, drone work and, of course, images are absolutely dreamy and certainly worth the effort involved. Here's to many more adventures and gorgeous film making!
Superb video, and well done for making it up there with all that kit, you must have been working on the back exercises. Brilliant photo's and what a drone shot at the end, that really put you and the location in perspective. Keep these type of videos going please.
Very enjoyable watch Adam and also ‘slightly’ envious! Off to the Peak District in a few weeks for a weekend away walking with my camera so that’ll have to make do!
what an amazing place the view down the cliff sent my heart racing but other then that very jealous worth the hike mate great job , that inversion was spectacular.
