I had an iPhone XR and it was a really good phone, but I really prefer Android, especially as Apple refuses to make their products open. I switched from the iPhone XR to the Pixel 4a and have been very happy, so I traded in for the 6a. It's a really nice phone given the price. Pixels are the 1st phone I have bought back-to-back. Google can disappoint like any other giant company, but the Pixels overall are fun and easy to use.

Prefer the iconic design of Steve Jobs style SE3. It’s fabulous and a joy to use. I loathe large heavy phones. I prefer it too to iPhone mini, 12 or 13 have 13 and use the SE3. The display on SE3 has a far better white point that only LCD technology has been able to provide. It’s very close to 6500 kelvins
I’m an iOS convert. Pixel does some great stuff, until it decides not to. Apple may feel like it’s not keeping up out of the gate, but performance over time wins out with consistency and longevity. No hate to android, I was diehard nexus user. When google changed, after a long look, so did I.
Same. Diehard Android user from Android One lineup but after a while I don’t see the worth in staying in the ecosystem. Especially that the pixel line is not officially available and supported in my country. Plus performance really drops after a while. Longevity will probably keep me in IOS.

i went from an XS to a 13 pro max -I then sold because of the size despite absolutely loving the battery life- and then a Pixel 6a and I'm totally sold on software so far other than the not as good Instagram and snapchat functions :/ but one thing Apple perfected with the X(S) in my opinion is the form factor. If I could have Android and battery battery life in an X/XS body that would basically be perfect. Or alternatively iOS changes some things like being able to mute camera and screenshot sounds without muting ringtone -that bugged me so much... that OR apps on android being improved
@@mgw2024 Yeah, the 5.8in display size is perfect. I still have the XS around and I just can't get myself to get rid of it. I miss smaller form factor devices. Average size today is 6.5in and that's past that bearable threshold.
Pixel 6a photos are much sharper and more detailed than iPhone se3 and have much better HDR processing. Also iphone se3 lack night sight and ultra wide. So for me 6a wins in photography.
Reviewers like you are missing the point of the SE. It’s not meant to have an updated design as that’s how they keep the costs down. Also, if you’re getting an SE you are investing into the Apple ecosystem. I picked up an SE earlier in the year as well as recently an iPhone 13 mini. I’m already switching back to the SE because I don’t need the bells and whistles. Battery life is actually pretty similar too. The only thing that I do wish the SE had was a dual camera setup. Otherwise I’m still happy with it.
*iPhone SE lacks ultra-wide lens, night mode etc and that's a huge miss in 2022.* Also, the colours on iPhones are no longer natural lol, they're saturated, warm and punchy like older Samsung's. Cheers.
I’ve owned a pixel 2xl my wife two. She still use it even if she have her SIM card in an Apple XS. Two years ago, I bought the pixel 5 along with all it problem, especially heating. I recognize that Google offers many functionalities Apple don’t for example: Google assistant, robust instant transcription and more but with the hardware and software problems I had to deal with, I simply can’t trust pixels anymore. At least until they offer awesome after sale support like Apple care. You could talk all day bit in the end, what if your Pixel heats to much, your battery expends, ruining the case and the screen after 18 months. You simply do like I did. You don't spend more money on it, you leave it in a drawer and you by an Apple 13 Pro Max with two years of Apple Care. This way you can trust you won't lose your money.
I have both iPhone 13 Pro as a main phone, and iPhone SE 2022 as a work phone.. I truly loved the SE in terms of fast processing (when you jump from emails to WhatsApp to telegram to work based apps), also the battery life is great 6-7 hours daily… it also support 5G which makes your life easy. The only disappointment is the old screen’s design.
The 6a wins hands down The 6a is fully future proof with 5g, e-sim, a flagship processor, software support. You know.......Just like Apple The only thing the iphone has is the ios ecosystem but even then you'd have to be in it's ecosystem to favor apple.
The 6A costs a bit more than the SE 3, at least here in the U.S. I've seen the SE 3 for as little as *$329* at some US-based MVNOs, which is *great* value for money.
@@stevennovakovich2525 cost is relative. MSRP makes more sense because there will always be deals for phones like this. You could've gotten the 6a for around $150 with trade in deals for any older 3a or 4a series phone and free earbuds if you pre ordered.
No night mode and no potrait mode for SE at that price point is saddening. I had SE before owning 6a, and I gotta say while the SE finger print scan is much faster, it wont detect sweaty fingerprints which I found the 6a do exceptionally well.
One thing I think spoils pixels is the poor screen brightness , definitely lacking in brightness nits . Nowadays you'd expect a phone to have at least 600-800 nits not 500 nits ! I have a pixel 6 and find it's screen lacking in brightness. Saw an iPhone 13 and that had a dream of a screen
people in the comments are complaining, i phone se 3 is for elderly people and children and not for power users? what is a power user? 80% people in the comments would probably be using it for whatsapp, Instagram, calls, I message and maybe some youtube. Asses your requirements and see if a phone works for you. If google pixel give you things that you need, then go for pixel. If se 3 works for your needs( forget the youtube nonsense bezzle, old design etc ) then use it.

I would seem them taking more the iPhone XR/iPhone 11 design for a larger iPhone SE maybe. All new internals are a given, better camera improvements but hopefully they would upgrade the display on a larger SE to OLED.

I think both phones are great values because of the flagship performance in them. Over time I grew to love the iPhone SE 2020 design especially touch ID. But with my vision I wound up getting the 6a. It's amazing how great this phone has been in the almost 5 days I've had it. I would recommend the 6a over the iPhone SE 2022. If you aren't an Apple loyalist the 6a is just a more modern phone that blows away the other phones in the $450 price range.

Yeah, SE is a godsend for people like us. Tried iPhone 13 mini and got eye strain every time i used it for more than five minutes. Sold the mini and bought SE 3. It’s a lot easier on the eyes. It’s sad that everyone prefers oled these days. It seems like I’ll need those 5 years of support for SE till some new technology arrives, because I can’t use any of the new phones
@@proradus Don't worry, thanks to higher refresh rates, newer phones will come with pwm flicker free options. There are actually some devices that have this now but only on Chinese phones. It should become mainstream soon though.
750p ips 60hz panel for 500$ must be the most unedudacted purchase ever conducted... not that the pixel 6a is much better in my opinion. For mid range and budget phones you should only look at the brands on the second hand market

Get the iPhone 11. My main phone is iPhone 13 mini , my back up phone is the 6a ( Finger Print recognition is not good) so I am not biased in advising you to choose the iPhone.
Got my se3 today. At $429... way overpriced. IMHO,Apple jammed the flagship processor in it,and raised the price. They're making HUGE profit off that chip,just by shoving it in a substandard phone that people will buy,because they think they're getting flagship quality product at half the price. They forget that corners had to be cut somewhere,and on the se3,it's in the screen resolution,small amount of ram and for me,a poor camera.

Because the SE is in the Apple ecosystem. If you want an Apple Watch or you want the integration with a Mac or a iPad then you go with the SE. I have the SE 2020 and I have a Pixel 6A. I like the Pixel 6a but I'll be upgrading my 2020 SE to the 2022 SE because I need that Apple integration. Someone can MMS me a photo and I can easily have it on all my Apple devices. Honestly, my SE can sit on my desk all day because I don't need to physically interact with it.

Yess, the iPhone looks ancient, but the flagship processor and software updates make this a win for me. And you buy into the Apple eco system at a reasonable price. iCloud and Apple Music makes this so much more worth it. Yess, the Pixel Watch with the newest Pixels are something similar, but the iPhone just works perfect within its ecosystem. Then there's years of software updates with the newest SE and actual data protection, not corruption. Easy win if you ask me.
Nah, the iphone 11 obliterates the se 3 for just $50 more on the Apple website. You just like ios (biased) (I'm not saying that's a bad thing) The se 3 is the cheapest iphone available but that doesn't make it the best phone around at that price. Not even the software updates save the se this time around because Google is offering 3 years of OS updates and 5 Years security updates. Nor does the flagship processor save the se when Google has the tensor chip in the 6a, which will keep it feeling the same like an iphone.

Great video! i will take the iphone SE 3 it produces better pics from the main camera and better videos too. Plus Apple will support it for many more years then google will on there pixel. Plus in just 2 years from now the iphone se will still be a fast phone will little to no lag! But not the pixel in the same time it will have issues just all android phones do and that’s a fact whether people like it or not.
Not even, the google may not get the latest features with 2 years less OS updates but for security, they are even with 5 years for both. 2 years of OS updates won't kill you, especially for a budget device and the overall experience will be better with the pixel
Do not agree with that. Pixel is yet another big phone - there are hundreds of them already. SE is a compact phone which are quite rare nowadays. And it’s a joy to use.
Also, for some reason the 6A shipped with software from *April* 2022, which is quite strange. Might be up-to-date now. And I've heard 6A fingerprint recognition system actually accepts fingerprints that aren't even registered with the phone. Wow.

Pixel 6a is way better then the SE but you should of compare it to the iphone 12 mini or 13 mini. The SE is super out dated.

I would seem them taking more the iPhone XR/iPhone 11 design for a larger iPhone SE maybe. All new internals are a given, better camera improvements but hopefully they would upgrade the display on a larger SE to OLED.

I think both phones are great values because of the flagship performance in them. Over time I grew to love the iPhone SE 2020 design especially touch ID. But with my vision I wound up getting the 6a. It's amazing how great this phone has been in the almost 5 days I've had it. I would recommend the 6a over the iPhone SE 2022. If you aren't an Apple loyalist the 6a is just a more modern phone that blows away the other phones in the $450 price range.

For me it comes down to the display, I get headaches from the PWM flicker on the OLED screens. The SE3 is the best phone I can get with an IPS display.
Yeah, SE is a godsend for people like us. Tried iPhone 13 mini and got eye strain every time i used it for more than five minutes. Sold the mini and bought SE 3. It’s a lot easier on the eyes.
It’s sad that everyone prefers oled these days. It seems like I’ll need those 5 years of support for SE till some new technology arrives, because I can’t use any of the new phones

I can repair the panel for like $30. I much prefer the SE and it seems so does the rest of the world

I think people are totally missing what the iPhone SE really and truly is. You get the easiest phone to ever fix for the cheapest price with the best and newest stuff under the hood. I dunno why myself but tons of people seem to absolutely love a physical home button. If you don’t understand the phone then it really isn’t for you. Games don’t even run higher than 720p on any android. They aren’t even $500 and they are even cheaper used. You will also have security and iOS upgrades for many years to come. The people who buy the iPhone SE are just not your market and perhaps you don’t understand old American ladies and old men 😀.

"Androids" like you say can clearly play game at more than 720p, since the most powerful phone is currently an android phone. (what about videos though?) Normally they will revert back to 60 to save battery because 5g is already a drain itself etc. and no I’m sorry but the “most powerful phone” is not currently an android and no they don’t play higher than 720p gaming. Tried pixel 6 after iPhone 11… was too disappointed cause in my country (Ukraine) it costs about 800$… and I was in shock how much bugs, network connectivity issues I had… The camera performance is not as quick as apples and image processing is not better overall… its shots are good for non editing but for editing I prefer iPhone… pixel works with skin tone well but only of black people… it makes white people more whiter … like Xiaomi does…gave home a chance for about two months and switched back to Apple with iPhone 13… and my soul kept calm again..

@@sleepyjoe7843 you do have better option on the android side, but also people leave out that the se has a metal and glass build, the best haptics, great speakers, the performance is great, and yes people do talk about that, but I've seen people say it's not important just to make it seem worse and it's just dumb, but I would pick it over many other android phones because of the software, there is no lag at all, the ui is so nice and polished and it's just what I need, I have an iPhone 7 and it still works so great, it doesn't really lag, and has less lag than a Samsung a53, I've seen how it lags, after some time it will be just worse, but now I need a new phone and I don't really have great iphone I can get, I might get the s22, because the 13 is so much more expensive here, I would get the se3 but apparently, I think, they don't have it with my carrier, which is making me so mad, not even the 13 mini, not even the pro, just the stock 13, it drives me nuts, but for now it is what it is

IMHO,Apple jammed the flagship processor in it,and raised the price.
They're making HUGE profit off that chip,just by shoving it in a substandard phone that people will buy,because they think they're getting flagship quality product at half the price. They forget that corners had to be cut somewhere,and on the se3,it's in the screen resolution,small amount of ram and for me,a poor camera.

Because the SE is in the Apple ecosystem. If you want an Apple Watch or you want the integration with a Mac or a iPad then you go with the SE. I have the SE 2020 and I have a Pixel 6A. I like the Pixel 6a but I'll be upgrading my 2020 SE to the 2022 SE because I need that Apple integration. Someone can MMS me a photo and I can easily have it on all my Apple devices. Honestly, my SE can sit on my desk all day because I don't need to physically interact with it.
pixels are better for me as a photographer, plenty of details there also the software does a better job, its not for video !

Yess, the iPhone looks ancient, but the flagship processor and software updates make this a win for me. And you buy into the Apple eco system at a reasonable price. iCloud and Apple Music makes this so much more worth it. Yess, the Pixel Watch with the newest Pixels are something similar, but the iPhone just works perfect within its ecosystem. Then there's years of software updates with the newest SE and actual data protection, not corruption. Easy win if you ask me.

The se 3 is the cheapest iphone available but that doesn't make it the best phone around at that price.
Not even the software updates save the se this time around because Google is offering 3 years of OS updates and 5 Years security updates.
Nor does the flagship processor save the se when Google has the tensor chip in the 6a, which will keep it feeling the same like an iphone.

Great video! i will take the iphone SE 3 it produces better pics from the main camera and better videos too. Plus Apple will support it for many more years then google will on there pixel. Plus in just 2 years from now the iphone se will still be a fast phone will little to no lag! But not the pixel in the same time it will have issues just all android phones do and that’s a fact whether people like it or not.
The only advantage that the iphone has is the os update only. Nothing more.
Not even, the google may not get the latest features with 2 years less OS updates but for security, they are even with 5 years for both.
2 years of OS updates won't kill you, especially for a budget device and the overall experience will be better with the pixel
Do not agree with that. Pixel is yet another big phone - there are hundreds of them already. SE is a compact phone which are quite rare nowadays. And it’s a joy to use.
The fingerprint scanner on the pixel is SHIT! With capital letters, yes.
Also, for some reason the 6A shipped with software from *April* 2022, which is quite strange. Might be up-to-date now.
And I've heard 6A fingerprint recognition system actually accepts fingerprints that aren't even registered with the phone. Wow.
Software was updated to 1 June on 2 August ( UK ). Finger print recognition is still not good.
