I’m watching this and when they was talking about their mums it choked me cos I was brought up in Wandsworth ( Henry prince estate) and my son thought he was a road man and I had to sit him down and asked him “do u love me “ if any hurt me how would u feel. He said “ mum no one gonna hurt u and if they did I would hurt them I had to switch on him and say YOU CARRY ON THE WAY YOU ARE AND YOU ARE GONNA BE THE ONE THATS HURTS ME COS YOU CAN END UP DEAD OR IN PRISON - them words done something cos now he a qualified electrician and he always brings that up x

James if you see this, this was the best podcast I have ever seen! Keep doing this setup, I have a family member like this and I wish they would change their life eventually but it’s rewarding to hear and see these men changing their lives and sharing their experiences. Also the way you allow them all to speak without interruptions shows how great a host you are

Hail James, This platform is important, People like us need to be able to relate and in the past that wasn't on the table, So everything you learn is DIY and you justify Madness, Took years to get over letting my family down, At 58 losing my Spouse and Pops Wrestling Wiv Substance misuse I've come to terms with a few things, I've Listened to Quincy and Lewis Before And Was Taken With the Honesty, Particularly Quincy and How he dealt with the step-dad stuff, Respect to ALL the Real Don's who come through the other end too easily could off gone 'Pete tong' and all that's left is a memory So Blessings! Salute 🙏🏾❤️‍🔥

Brilliant new series James! Some different themes I’d like to see
    1. Homelessness
    2 Drug addicts
    3. Undercover police
    4. People with life changing disabilities
    5. Professional athletes
    6. Murderers

Why the hate?? If you don’t like it, don’t watch. If one youngster watches this and it stops them from prospective criminal behaviour then it’s worth it. Blokes like this, who’ve been on the wrong side of the law are perfect for getting the message across that it’s just not worth it. I wish I’d seen something like this when I was growing up. It might have stopped me from going to prison and all the rubbish that went before that. Great job.

very much enjoyed hearing these ex gangsters talking. Was very interesting to hear them talking about how the govt have got it all wrong focusing resources on prisons instead of communities. Couldn't agree more. It's tragic. Funnily enough, when Ken Clarke was Justice Minister for a while, he was saying the same thing. But he didn't get much buy in from the rest of parliament. It's very sad to see young boys and men with huge potential ending up in prison. Inspiring to see tough guys like these fellas come out the other side. Great pod

It's clear as day that they were top boys just look at there rap sheets! The sentences they were handed down shows there standing on the criminal ladder! Just look at the crime figures in my part of the world: John Henry Sayers 15 years for conspiracy to rob
Stephen Sayers 10 years for attempted blackmail on a guilty and Michael Sayers 12 years on a not guilty. Compare that to Paddy conroy 11.5 years for kidnap, torture and escaping custody! One family gets treble the rec for the crimes yet that one individual should have had a 25/30 rec it shows you there's levels in the crime game

One was Will Smith can't remember the others names but all 3 broke down emotionally live on the internet after receiving bad news, like your wife had cheated. Post points out all of them became internet memes at an emotionally trying time. What I'm trying to say is the internet is not your friend and posting personal problems for all to see is probably not going to be of any help. Just my opinion.

The issue is not opportunity to young people. Its the fact that they see a regular job and then realise that regular job won't get you anywhere. That's the real issue.
First thing to straighten someone out is they need hope. And then of the back of that hope they will get up and do a regular job and start elevating there life through routine and structure. The problem is that routine and structure doesn't get you anywhere financially just round in circles.
