The Christmas episode from the third series of Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer's celebrity quiz. If you appreciate the upload, buy me a coffee! ko-fi.com/neil...
Was 16 when I watched this first time round. Carefree teenage days, college, music and football and awesome shows like this Fast Show, Bottom, Red Dwarf etc. Still laughing my head off watching in now in 2024.
I'm 52, and remember watching the original series with my housemates while drinking tinnies and falling about laughing. Now I'm drinking Xmas champagne, and still falling around laughing watching the nonsense. Timeless silliness
My girlfriend is American. I showed Vic and Bob to her a few years ago and she didn't get them at all, although she loves Monty Python, The Day Today, Brasseye, Alan Partridge, Big Train, etc...
I recorded the repeat of this on Christmas Day 1997 as I missed the first time it was shown. It's only now nearly 26 years later watching this version that I've noticed the "Jesus Christ no!" exclamation by Mark at 11:58 was edited out.
7:25 my friend Kelly was asked out by ML in a nightclub, she rebuffed his advances because as she put it: "He looked like Stimpy off The Ren & Stimpy Show"
Like the Peter Andre bit at the start, there was an episode where Mark was singing Mr Bombastic in a cafe while floating around on wires... For some reason it plays in my head sometimes, any idea what episode it was?
I'd say man's inhumanity to his fellow man is probably higher up on the list than no comedy and game shows when it comes to what's wrong with the world

As a 45 year old man raised in the UK, this is what I show my American wife to explain my childhood.

Great uploads for Reeves and Mortimer completists. Thank you!
When Bob did the magic trick of cutting Vic’s tongue off, that was me gone! 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Used to absolutely love Shooting Stars, mad as anything!

Thanks for uploading Neil. Great memories ! So funny
That intro was insanely good
"Boys boys boys segueing into Jim'll Fix It For you is another obvious reference that we all couldn't see.
The 90’s had some stunners
Mrs Merton, Lilly Savage, Reeves & Mortimer - those were the days.
Now we get Ant and Dec, Davina McCall ...
great blast from the past!
Ulrika nailed that club singing haha 😂
In less than two minutes after it starts I'm laughing my head off. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great series, thanks Neill! Being greedy we could do with more!
The last normal decade, the 90s.
7:25 my friend Kelly was asked out by ML in a nightclub, she rebuffed his advances because as she put it: "He looked like Stimpy off The Ren & Stimpy Show"
That electric bug zapper 2 logo so much nostalgia
You’re goddam right
Bob Mortimer is a national fucking treasure.
I loved watching this and red dwarf and robot wars
Fine Quality Chaotic Brit Telly. the Finest, Mate. Yeah Innit.
Just awesomely brilliant...Iranu!!!!!!
Imagine someone singing the Jim ‘ll fix it theme on TV nowadays 😂
One of their best episodes, obviously everyone was either drunker or more sober than usual.
Saw the live show it was amazing
Imagine being 27 years too late to say, "Lorraine Kelly, PHWOAR!"
HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!

That’s what’s wrong with the world no comedy and game shows anymore.
Both are still going strong. Is your TV broken?
I'd say man's inhumanity to his fellow man is probably higher up on the list than no comedy and game shows when it comes to what's wrong with the world
When we could still have fun without everyone being offended. Points of view was always full of moaners though 😁
Maybe people that were offended knew to keep there mouths shut
@zaraanderson3838 yes perhaps so. Now they go on twitter and cancel everyone 🙄
Cancel culture has ruined comedy!
Yeah exactly before wokeness was even a thing 🙄 😒 😮💨☹️
Vic and Bob still get regular telly work tho 🤷♂️
It was entertaining, just not very funny
Mark Lamar as Rolf Harris wasn't funny? That was funny without hindsight and more so with.
Bless you, probably weren't born in that timeline.
