    The beautiful part of the ES model being so popular is that the A models can be had for cost a year or two later. I just got a leftover 16 A model for 5000 off sticker. Being it is only me on it (wife rides her own) I set the suspension once and no need to change.

    Man that's the beauty of technology. I'm sitting here at the kitchen table having a coffee, listening to some Eagles (RIP Glen), I sen you a message from the other side of the world, and you respond nearly straight away! Anyhow, glad to hear you love the bike. I'm torn between selling a ZRX1200 which I love, or a Triumph Speedmaster which my wife loves to buy one ofe these babies. Ride on!

    I wanted a new 2016 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited but didn't want to pay $27k MSRP when it came out in late 2014. It's ok. Found it a year later with 9k miles for $18k. Really thrilled with it. I'm a new subscriber and really dig your channel. Watching them all from the beginning. Great stuff man. Ride safe!!

    I like the part where you go to the gloves. The old ones were the wrong color. I lucked out. I went from 2005 FJR to 2016 FJR.. No color change.

    That Z1000 is awesome! I also like the look of the ZX14R, but like you said, not very practical.

    Hey, there, I am in the same boat as you as I too have a large frame. I also need to an XXL helmet. I have had several Shoei helmets as they were the only ones that seemed to fit comfortably....until I bought a Bell RS !!!
    Lighter, cheaper and more comfortable..... :)

    Great Videos! I am looking for this bike right now. Maybe not brand spanking new though. Thanks for insight.

      Tim Carter Gently used is the way to go - or better yet a new leftover! I didn't have the choice so I had to buy new new. New '14's are going for low 11's now just 9 months later :(

    I like the FJR1300 but due to medical/mobility issues if I was to get one it would have to be the AE model. I was wondering if you had any thoughts on that model?

    • @cigarobsession
      @cigarobsession 8 років тому

      +David Osborne Perfectly good, although you are limited to the last generation of the bike in the US.

    • @Arasmus125
      @Arasmus125 8 років тому

      +cigarobsession I've notice the AE didn't run to long in the US but I have seen its still going outside of the US. I like the FJR1300AE as well the Honda CTX/NC700, I think a 1200 version is due to come out as well. I'm much like Twowheeled, I'm a big/tall guy so I figure the FJR being a slightly bigger bike might work better for me.

      +David Osborne I am both obsessions ;) Apples and oranges - the FJR is very much a sport cruiser - the Hondas are more cruisers with fairings. Totally different positions. Whatever you are looking at, be sure to test ride first.

      Thank you! I had the idea in my head and used 48hourslogo to have it drawn out - I love those guys, I have used them for years and pointed many web clients that way. For $120 you get awesome results in just a few days! They key is being specific and giving them good feedback while they work.

    Hi, i am the proud owner of a brand new FJR 1300, 2016. Really enjoyed watching your vids. Question: the bike is somewhat too high for me, i tip toe on the ball of my feet. I am considering buying lowering links. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Regards.

    • @TwoWheelObsession
      @TwoWheelObsession  8 років тому +2

      I do not suggest it - besides altering the geometry it messes up the center stand. Higher heeled boots are the best choice.

    • @louisemartin2725

      Would you recommend a lower seat or shaving the current one down ? Tkx

      There really aren't any good options for that, it barely has any meat to begin with.

    Just surfed to your site. New subscriber. Looking forward to some good vids. I have a '12 Suzuki V-strom 650 Adventure. Thinking of trading for a new FJR1300ES. Down East NC.

    I’m curious.. I got a 2018 es dec 8th 2018. It will be a few months before the 2019’s with only what seems to be a paint difference.
    It’s msrp is 18. I ‘negotiated’ playing the stupid let me ask the manager game 4 times, to get it down to 14. 4K off.
    I know it’s still not worth that but felt I didn’t get screwed as bad. 17 our the door with tax, license and ‘screw you’ fees.
    I was looking at replacing a r1200rt and it was 27 out the door. So I see it as not as nice, not as smooth, and not 10k more.
    The right mirror was loose and almost fell off. But fine after tightened.
    It had very tiny scratches which a made a huge deal about in order to get a deal.
    But yeah, brand new and kinda messed up because poor retards assemble this stuff.
    This is a sports bike with bags essentially.
    Survey: how badly did I negotiate? Anyone buy it new for lower? I’m aware it probably takes 5 grand to manufacture..
