    This was probly one of the best watercolor timelapse's ive ever seen. Truly inspiring.
    But what is this white and black color you are using? I recently bought 36 set of whitenights (very satisfied) but i dont have anny black or white with this opacity or strength.
    Thanks in advance if you reply.

      He did a video on painting skin tones like human flesh tones. If you had already seen it you would like creating your characters. The four colors that makes the fixed tone is red, yellow, brown, and white.
      In comparison to acrylics you get orange when you mix red and yellow because of the intensity. While, brown is created by both red and green. When it comes to the values and shades especially using color it is important to identify areas where it is dark, gray, and light. Also, I'm not sure if you can get that fixed color with acrylics with red, yellow, brown and white.

    how do are you able to draw, line, paint and everything without moving the paper around like crazy? I've seen other artists have to move the paper around just to get curves drawn.

    • @LaovaanArt
      @LaovaanArt  7 років тому +54

      +HaruNatsuAkiFuyuu actually it was really hard to do that , glad you noticed 😆 but I want to give you a calm Video so I tried my best Not to move it that much :)

    • @HaruHaru404
      @HaruHaru404 7 років тому +14

      +Laovaan thank you so much for being so considerate of us! that must be really tough to do. but your videos are all very calming indeed. i love to watch and re-watch your drawing videos when I'm feeling like the rest of the world is rushing by me like a hurricane. also, I've been dying to ask, i keep missing my chance during your live streams. is there a reason why your pencil drawings don't smudge when you paint? I've been told to use 2h or 4h or even to dip the whole thing in water and let it dry before painting. ...but you seem to just jump into painting right after drawing without doing anything fancy.

    Wow. I've always admired people who can work with wet paint as I work with little to no water. It looks awesome, but I have a feeling like hair needs even a little bit of shading. Like some greyish pink/royal purple shades to make them look not like some abandoned space between face and background. Or let them be blurry to "shine". Still, it's only my opinion, I'm not an expert.
    Sorry for spelling mistakes, I'm from Poland, not english-speaking country.

    I am wondering why my paper bends? I use tape like you and I use watercolor paper and it still bends. Any idea why?

    • @LaovaanArt
      @LaovaanArt  7 років тому +8

      It also bends with mine especially in this video, but when your tape is of quality it should be stronger than the bending paper and it shouldnt loose grip to the surface you sticked it on, so once it dries down it is even again, ^-^ at least this is how I understnad it x'D

      i have the same problem and i tried to use stronger tape, and the paper did dry flat, but when i tried to remove that tape it ruined the paper >< really not sure where the balance is

    • @AbrutiMonstre
      @AbrutiMonstre 7 років тому +5

      And even if the paper dry flat, it is annoting when it blends while painting because the colors and the water move in the hollow created by the bend...

    Oh my gosh this is absolutely amazing!!!
    May I ask (and pardon if this is a bother ahhhhh!)- Did you use watercolour for the white paint? If no, what kind of paint? And if yes, was the strong effect made by using little water with a white watercolour paint?
    Also! How did you manage to wipe away some paint when it got a little messed up- Was it with a wet or dry brush?
    Again I'm so sorry if its a bother and I hope you have a lovely day!!!

    Hey. Great painting. I love it. I've watched you for a long time now. I'm subscribed and I'm notified through the bell whenever you post. I wrote a comment a long time ago to one of your paintings. I don't remember which one... but I wrote that your paintings were amazing but I wished you would finish one. Most of the videos I used to see in the beginning were "How to... do hair... do skin tone... etc." (At least that's all I could find.) But I'm writing this to appologize and to say that I love the work and to keep it up.
