    I'm so happy to have found this solution to my problem. Since moving home I'm no longer able to afford to play my guitar and backing tracks through my pa system 1000 Watts. For obvious reasons it's bloody loud. I want to be able to Play along to my 90 minute backing track and to hear the sound from my amp. Since my amp has a headphone output which isn't amplified it will be going into this box along side my backing track which will be played through from my phone using a USB c to 3.5 mm mini jack. The sound from my amp will be from a quarter inch jack to xlr cable and I'm hoping that I will get a decent sound through the headphones. My rig has all the effects going through the effects loop in the amp which goes to the headphone output thankfully. I ordered the ma400 tonight for delivery tomorrow. So fingers crossed. Thanks for making this video it's helped me tremendously.

      No worries, thanks for the comment. If you find that you need more channels to work with then a small mixer with 3+ channel strips will also do the same thing and give you more room to work with in terms of routing, EQ, and if its USB compatible, recording direct to your DAW.

    Hi. When entering with the microphone and exiting to the console, does it have a drop in signal compared to sending it direct? Thank you.

    Thanks for the video, just discovered your channel and looks very interesting ;) Question: when setting the switch to stereo, does this mean the (mono) input signal will be copied to left and right ear? With band practive, I have my personal mix coming from AUX on our mixer, but this is a mono signal. With my current setup, the sound is only coming through my left ear. I am looking into this device to change that. So: mixer > mono jack/jack > input MA400 > output MA400 > mini stereo jack headphones.
    I dont care if the sound is dual mono, i just want to have sound in both my ears. Thanks!

    Is there a way to connect my hx stomp's left and right outputs to the ma400? I also want that stereo signal to go to the mixer for the front of house

      Anyway, I got a Di with all that on it, just need to work it out. Away to also get the audio from the mixer for the rest of the band when I'm playing live, if you have any ideas? If I'm guessing correctly, isn't the monitor input normally used for that?

      @@BandOnABudgetNZ Ideally, stereo for everything. So stereo for my guitar and for the band mix too. It's more important that my iem mix is in stereo for my guitar and for the rest of the band mix, I'm less bothered about foh having that

      @@BandOnABudgetNZ Yep makes sense.
      Would it work if I use a dual 6.5mm ts cable to male xlr from the hx stomp's left and right outputs to the ma400s mic input and then send that stereo sound to the mixer from the mic thru?
      And then do the opposite from the mixer, so say I use a dual xlr from the mixer to the monitor on the ma400?

      @@BandOnABudgetNZ so the Di came today and it works with that well, but it also works with just plugging the dual trs cable from my helix straight to the ma400. Have been comparing the 2 and can't tell a major difference if any at all, would you say there is one?

    Thanks for the video. Does it actually have much amplification? Several reviews on Thomann said that there is hardly any difference between the input and output signal volumes.

    Hello, I got this HA400, but as soon as I connect it to my mixer and put my headphones on, there is a hiss that interferes with the audio signal, how can I correct this?

  • @TomSP9TL
    @TomSP9TL 2 роки тому +2

    Hi. I am thinking of getting this HA400. I have a pretty standard integrated sound card in my PC (cannot upgrade it into something else or better). I need to amplify headphones source. I also use external speaker 2.1 system with a subwoofer (active one), which is connected to LINE OUT at the back of a PC. Do you think I could connect the HA400 (or other) to LINE OUT, and then connect the speaker system and headphones to HA400? Would this work? Thnx.

      @@BandOnABudgetNZ This is good news then. Yes, I've looked at the Xenyx series, 502 and 802. But w/o USB as I do not have Win/Mac, and as far as I've read it needs special drivers/software to work.
      I have a bit of a different issue here. I could either use HA400 to amplify headphone sound or use a mixer to connect other hardware like a PC, standard mic, headphones, a ham radio (like a CB thing) and listen to that radio via headphones, or even record sound from it to a PC.

    Hi, I have a doubt. Is the mic thru output controllable by the mic level knob? Or it is just a copy of the mic input, without changes?

    • @BandOnABudgetNZ
      @BandOnABudgetNZ  14 днів тому +1

      Its just a copy of the signal. The mic level volume knob should not affect the output signal from the Mic THRU. I used mine last night at a rehearsal and had a setup where I used the Mic THRU output and can confirm the volume knob didn't affect the signal

    Hi thanks for the review. I'm not sure to get this or the P2 for singers and band at my church. Any thoughts from you? Or maybe I get a couple of both so those already with power near them can use this one? One more question is the Mic XLR input OK at taking a line level XLR Aux send from the desk or does it distort?
