About this video
In this Zane from Simple Green Tech does a Behringer MicroAmp HA400 headphone amplifier review and test. This headphone amp is a solid build. It's made of a sturdy metal and the knobs feel nice and tight. It powers my Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250 ohm headphones with no problems. There is zero bleed from channel to channel and very little noise at high volumes. The Behringer MicroAmp HA400 is a great choice for the home studio if you need to add some extra headphone outputs or need some more power delivered to your headphones.
Check out my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Headphone review here ua-cam.com/video/R-PnmlQyWmQ/v-deo.html
@@mariobrala6850 likely not. I think 250 ohm would be the highest I would go with this unit. But I haven’t personally tried it so I am only speculating.
@@AudioTechTV Hello. Do you think Behringer Micromon MA400 can drive DT 900 Pro 250 ohm ?
@@AudioTechTV do you think the behringer amp could power the 250ohm dt 770 pros alone or do they need the other thing?
Finally found the answer. I will use a balanced trs cable to connect my Apollo twin to my headphones amp. Thank you.
I have been using this to drive my 80 ohm DT 770 pro's.
Its pretty much perfect.
My motherboard has really beefy front panel audio so I ran these trough the front panel audio jack for a while. I than bought an adjustable monitor stand so I could aim the monitor to my couch on the left of my desk so I could watch movies and play games on controller much more comfortably. I needed another way to drive my headphones since the cable wouldn't reach so I got this guy. Works perfectly fine and has a lot of spare volume if I wanted to go crazy with it, ussually i'l have the volume dial at arround 30-40%
My only gripe is very small and also pretty niche. Whilst I couldn't detect any major differences in audio quality (which is pretty good considering my beefy motherboard soundcard) I did however detect a small decrease in sub-bass. this is mainly because the amp supports 20hz - 20000hz compared to my front panel audio supporting 10hz - 40000hz. This means that it won't drive the sub-bass very well that the dt770's are known for whilst im still able to get the bright highs that all beyerdynamics have. Regular bass works perfectly fine though and I can even out the sub-bass pretty well with some EQ.
Hey ...I'm going to buy dt 770 pro 80 ohm .....becoz of mixing and mastering and also becoz of its nice sound stage and comfortable pads ......
So do I need an amp or audio interface for Dt 770 pro 80 ohm version .....
So is it good for mixing and mastering in these ...
And most people are saying ....80 ohm have better bass ....and good for other devices too ....
And I have a MSI z690 tomahawk wifi motherboard ......so...will these dt 770 pro 80 ohm give good response for mixing and mastering ... without an amp or audio interface
can you connect 60 ohm headphones and DT 990 Pro 250 ohm so you have two headphones in it without blowing up the 60 ohm ones?
@@ItzCharles and will this amp use all of the 250ohms with a dt 990 pro
Hi! I have a question :( , If I want to use this headphones amplifier to live in-ear monitoring, which cable should I use? Because we know headphones output are STEREO outputs, but If I want to do live in-ear monitoring, I will have to use an Auxiliar output of my console to send a different mix than the main mix (maybe only voice and a guitar for example using the AUX knobs) to all the 4 headphones. I´m asking this because Auxiliar outputs are MONO outputs and I don´t know If I will get sound in both headphones (of the 4 pairs) or just in one (ex. Left) because its Mono signal.
Should I use a TRS cable or a TS cable? or a TS to TRS cable (if it exists) lol
Hope you can help me. :D
I did solder myself a TS to TRS cable for this situation. Without it, you won't have sound in both ears.
However, some (not this one) mini headphone amplifier designed for in-ears/live have a stereo/mono switch.
This is very bad amp. Just unpacked it and tested. Found that it generates gigantic crosstalk and distortion at high volume. Now searching for something higher quality.
You dont know how much money I saved after watching this video. I bought Beyerdynamic DT 990 250 OHMS Headphones and Scarlett 2i2 was unable to give it the power it wants. So I was thinking to buy Schitt Magni to run my 250 OHMS and was very doubtful about Behringer. But now I am pretty comfortable to make decision on it. Thank You so much.
@capri reds I've got the DT 990 250 ohm and it is SOOO quiet! I just purchased this headphone amp and unfortunately see absolutely no difference. I also had a Saffire Solo and was sooo disappointed that it didn't give my headphones the boost they needed. What a world!
did it make a difference in sound quality
I'm so confused
I have a behringer umc22 interface. I am a singer and producer making my music. I am thinking of buying a cheap closed back for tracking then buy the dt990 pro for mixing purposes. Will the ha400 amp power them well to create a good mix? If you have doubts, which amps would be best for these purposes? (Otherwise I might just cop the 770pro 80 ohms for tracking and mixing). If you reply I am subbing for sure, your reviews are so helpful
Wow thank you! I bought me the preamplifier and I though tit was broken because the sound was very watered down. I noticed I didn't have the right cable based off your vid! So, I purchased it and now I may be able to enjoy my preamp 🥰
Does it work for you now?
Question, can you use one of the slots for monitors or will it be too much power to use with both monitors and headphones?
I wonder if something like the planar Hifiman HE400i will run properly on this
Hello, thanks for the video, i just got my DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm Headphones with the same Amp, only one got one problem which is the cable, is there a stereo input cable that connects directly from the amp to my laptop? i mean am i forced to buy an audio interface in order to finally make the headphones works perfectly?
You can get a cable that is 1/8th inch TRS on one end and 1/4 inch TRS on the other end. Or you could use a typical 1/8th inch stereo link cable and then get a 1/4 inch jack and use that on the end that plugs into the MicroAmp.
Hi, thanks for the video, please can you help me. I just got the DT 770 headphones with the same amp, what cables/adaptors exactly should I buy to connect everything?
Used this amp with Behringer HPX2000 long time ago. Works great. Transparent sound like not wearing headphone.
could you please tell me if that HA 400 can power up my ATH-R70x - Audio-Technica or not? great video and informative , thanks a lot
Thank you sir. So informative. i have this doubt is there any difference by connecting from interface Headphone out to Amp input or Connecting from interface's Line Out by using Stereo Y cable?
Can I connect this directly to my computer (connect it directly from the headphone jack of the computer)? Do I need an interface/mixer?
Yes you can. You can connect it to anything that has a headphone or line output.
Would it be possible to connect the HA400 to the AUX outs on the Behringer XR18 digital mixer (which are XLR outs)? Or does it have to be connected to the headphone out?
You should be able to use the aux out as long as everything is being sent to the aux port. Some mixers require you to manually push a button to send tracks to an aux out. But if everything is sent to it then it will work.
Very helpful presentation!!! What about a Dt-770 PRO 250 Ohm connected to a Steinberg UR-242? Do you know if an amplifier like this is compulsory if someone wants to make the most of this pair of headphones? Or should I buy the 80 Ohm version? Thank you very very much!
I’ve never used that interface so I don’t know how powerful the headphone outputs are. You don’t absolutely need the headphone amp to use the 250 ohm version. But it is nice to have. I used the 250 ohm pair connected directly to a little behringer um2 and it was fine.
@@AudioTechTV I m sure your experience knows much better than me!! Thank you for your response...
hey lucky me, you're using the dt770s and that's the exact reason I'm needing an amp! cuz I bought these without realizing you needed the extra power. I've used these before for the soul purpose of having more headphone outs but I was wondering if I could skimp and buy a knock off version to save money or would that be too much of a loss in quality? also would this provide a way for me to toggle between my headphones and monitors on my focus rite solo? thx
Would I also need an audio interface or is a mobo and this enough
This is less than $30
hi planning to buy im asking if that thing is plug for almost 20 hours? does it get heat? or not?
I have it plugged in constantly. It’s mounted under my desk right next to me and I’ve never felt heat. I just touched it now and it’s not warm.
Is the volume gonna be abit louder or add extra juice from a normal mixer headphone out sir? Coz i need one to make my monitoring purpose from my mixer a bit louder as i prefer☺
It can make it a bit louder or a lot louder. I use it for monitoring purposes and it’s a nice clean output that can go a lot louder then my audio interface without adding distortion or noise.
@@AudioTechTV Great,tqsm sir💗🙏🏻👍
Thanks a lot for the video!
Didn't know there is a option below 100 dollars :D
what would you recommend around 100$?
@@jaskyer1 The same. Behringer HA400
Hi can I use this headphones amplifier to IEM earphones or normal earphones?
Hi, have you tried hooking a 600ohm dt880/990 in it? Do you think itll work?
Hi thanks for the video. I have a question can i use the splitter to connect two rokit 5 monitor + my headphone? If yes do you think it will work properly?
Will these work with an Audio Technica LP-60 turntable (it has a built in preamp). I want a headphone setup for my turntable and am looking for a headphone amp. I have all the necessary adapters to connect the turntable to the HA400 and then to headphones. But will it do the job of sounding good and loud?
Yesterday took this amplifier and how stupid ingeener,do not to put for 1 or 2 3,5mm jack out.....i can not to try it i need to connect to3,5 to 6,3mm...
...you said mic and in the beginning
Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80ohm with a focusrite scarlett solo 3rd gen doesn't need this.
@Audio Tech TV or any person. See no one has replied in ages, but will try. See you mention balanced trs cable. Mixer wise, I am running a Behringer VMX- 1000. Into JBL powered speakers. Everything is hooked into mixer. No amp, pre on the side in this chain. What I want to do- hook my COMPUTER audio to a Behringer HA400 when I buy one ( still seeing about that and why here now ). Computer is 3.5mm OUT. For best cable and out and in what do you suggest for my doing? ( Note- I want Stereo sound ) Break down. 1. Do I go computer out to the HA400 and put headphones in and be done. 2. Behringer mixer FIXED rec sig into box. Headphone to box and done. Or, 3. Computer to a mixer input IN. Then do a cable on MIXER HEADPHONE OUT. Which gives me flex to control volume at mixer on headphone volume along with eq on mixer which feeds into the headphone volume OUT control on mixer. This way I get all output hook up to mixer on a hook in direct to mixer on the headphone sec. BUT... I can do that as well on the line REC fixed out on mixer. ( which is taken at this point thus, got it going to a Tascam recorder ). So, my attempt here before I buy the box is- find the correct cables. Find the best way to hook box up. Now the best part- Headphones are 24 ohm- Sony MDR-v700 silver. Yes, for Dj and bass. My computer just lacks the up in sound to deliver to them headphones. Thought?
Its enaught to make more power the DT 990 Pro with 250 oms?
yes
Your recommendation for dt 1990 pro beyerdynamic
Hi there, and thank you. After doing many a circle around the Internet I think this is the solution I will try. One question, if I may. Do you keep the headphone amp always connected. If so, what do you do whenever you need to plug in a lower impedance headphone? Disconnect the Focusrite and reconnect? Or would it work to keep the lower impedance headphones connected instead to the computer’s headphone out. Will there be lag in this kind of situation while monitoring. Would massively appreciate a reply as I am this close to purchasing one. Thanks again.
You can plug lower impedance headphones into this headphone amp at the same time as other headphones. There are 4 headphones outputs on the amp and you can mix and match headphones. They don’t all need to be the same. I always have mine connected. I actually attached it to the underside of my desk so I can easily adjust the volume.
@@AudioTechTV Guess there's no worry of damage so long as we keep the volume knobs in check.
@@accentontheoff yup. Each headphone jack is controlled separately so there’s no worries.
@@AudioTechTV Nice thanks!
Hi bro, great sharing. May I know how do i connect the headphone amp to my goxlr? Thanks in advance
This is solid. The only thing I find is there is a little less bass that comes through but it's hardly noticable
I bought some thing that looks just like this. I use this because my monitor/Headphone volume is on the same knob and I have a recorder hooked up it. So i can record when I have to disable loopback.
Can you play live with backing tracks with this one? Using L & R as separate mixes one eith metronome and other one with backing tracks? Thanks a lot!
@@Brainblast_edd this is just a headphone amp. You might be thinking of their micromix unit that looks very similar to this. I’m not familiar with how that one works.
Very informative and cut through the cake. Have had this for several years in silver.
On a TC Electronics G-Major 2 there is no headphone jack. This is a guitar effects processor, how can I make this work for my stereo headphones?
Thank you very much.
1:27 Why has no one told me this before...gaawd I am so mad xD
hi, excellent video!
I have the same configuration(but different headphones, Audio-Technica ATH-M50x) , but the problem is that
I hear a very strong noise! what does this depend on?(i use POSUGEAR balanced trs jack cable).thank you for helping me!
Have you tried plugging your headphones into something else to make sure it’s not in the headphones? Also you could try swapping out the trs cable to make sure it’s not that. Plug your headphones directly into the Focusrite headphone jack and see if the noise is still there. If the noise is only present when you have headphone amp and you tried switching the cable then it could be the amp itself has an issue or you could try moving it to make sure there isn’t anything causing interference. Cellphones can cause noises if they are too close.
Thanks for the informative comparison :) I just got my new DT770 250 OHM and when connected to the focusrite scarlett solo I got low sound, so it seems I need to buy an amplifier. I am a voice over artist, so I will use the DT770 for monitoring the voice while recording and mixing.. will the Behringer HA400 help with the mixing? Also I will use it in Egypt where the standard voltage is 220 V and the frequency is 50 Hz, does the HA400 meet the voltage specs? Thanks again!
I use the HA400 for mixing. It is transparent so it won’t effect any decision making while mixing. As for the voltages o don’t know anything about that. You can try contacting Behringer to confirm.
Yeah, it will be fine...a rough rule of thumb is +/- 10% but modern equipment tends to be even more tolerant.
@@AudioTechTV Thank you very much!
@@AudioTechTV Thank you very much! And for the balanced TRS, does it work for both stereo and mono, cause I mainly record mono.
@@AudioTechTV Thank you for the review! Will it power the 770's enough for when I need to track at -18 to -12 db? My Antelope Zen Go gives me enough power for mixing and mastering, but when I track it's not enough. Thank you and Greetings from Greece.
If I connect a guitar to the input works?
No
Hello bro, I have Scarlett 2i4 and I am planning the buy beyerdynamic 990 pro (250 ohm), as you mentioned interface isn't enough to power the headphones and we require a amp. My concern was does the amp modulate the the flat response of headphone or interface and as 990 pro is open back will HA4000 be sufficient to power the open back as a lot of sound leaks out?
I haven’t noticed any coloration of the sound from the HA400. I did notice that my Focusrite 2i2 got coloured or degraded when the headphones were cranked and this unit stopped that. I haven’t used 990s with it so I don’t know how it will work with that pair of headphones. But if they are 250 ohms they require the same amount of power as my 770 (250 ohm) headphones and I have lots of volume left on the knob.
@@AudioTechTV thank you for the reply, It added value in my understanding of headphones
Can I use this amp on stage for wired monitoring and passive volume like the Rolls HV6 for every musician on stage?
Good video, Cheers!
Yes you could use it on stage. if you have a really loud band it may not work too well depending on what you’re using for monitoring.
I guess that I can use this amp with a computer, or even a phone, attaching the cable to the headphones port in it. Am I correct?
Yes. You can use it with whatever you want.
Can this also be used in reverse? Meaning instead of the 4 headphone out i use it as 4 separate inputs into 1 output (originally the input) ?
I’ve never tried that but I don’t think it would work. Behringer does make another model called the MX400 and it does the opposite of this. Has 4 inputs to one stereo output.
I bought 80 ohm dt770 and I also bought this headphone amp so great but I’m worried that now when I plug it in to my m audio duo that it’s not going to work now?
We need amp that give original signel. Not colored! Because I'm studio production user. Is this amp color the sound?
I have not noticed any color added from this headphone amp.
@@AudioTechTV thank you for your response 🙏
Hello, I'm just wondering if this would be good for my 300ohm sennheiser hd6xx. Currently just have them plugged into my computer
Thank you soo much my friend. God bless u!!! Liking and Subbing
Hi master I research best cheap iem system But I didnt find the video on the youtube I wanna buy behringer p1 what do you think about it ?
sometimes when i stop playing music it makes a very high-pitched sound on the headphone output from this do you have any idea what might be causing this? its also very random and im pretty sure its from the amp cause the loudness to it changes from the amp
How many watts does it use with all 4 headphones at max volume? i don't suppose you have a Kill A Watt meter lying around :P
Hello , Im new at audio things so if I use it would there be latency because I use my DT770 250 for gaming mainly
There is no latency. I use this for recording music where the lowest latency is absolutely vital and I have no issues.
in the DT990 Pro you have 3.5mm aux, and to connect to HA400 you need 6.3mm aux. and the convertor I have moves and doesn't hold the connection as good as it needs and it needs to be screwed, is there any connector that you know for certain that will connect to the DT990 pro as screwing to the 3.5mm aux that it will stay and hold in place? so no sound interruptions?
I haven’t used the DT990 headphones. On my DT770 and other studio headphones they came with an adapter that screws onto it and it doesn’t fall off or move at all. Maybe your threading is damaged? It shouldn’t move at all once screwed on all the way. You could try to find another adapter that screws on and see if that works, in case it’s your adapter that’s damaged. I think there is a way to replace the cable so you may need to do that too.
@@AudioTechTV I dont have the adapter because I got it from my uncle, so its second hand, and my adapters are from the internet and they don't screw in, so I asked if you know any place to buy good high quallity ones who I can screw and that will do the job
Is it only me, Or I am hearing popping and crackling noises with this amp? (thru headphones)
Mine doesn’t have any pops or crackles. I’ve had it for a few years now, use it every day and it’s still super clean.
@@AudioTechTV I am using it with the DT990 pro, I am sure the headset is good (No defects). When cranking the volume up to around 55-60% the crackling noise starts. Maybe a defect with the amp? I just set it up yesterday.
Also, have you ever used it with a 250 ohm headset? How do they sound? I use them PC>AMP> HEADSET no audio interfaces.
Can we just go for this Headphone Amp for 250 ohm headphone without any audio interface?
Please reply!
Yes you could do that. The input is 1/4” so if you were going from a basic computer output you would need a cable that has 1/8” on one end and 1/4” on the other or a cable with an adapter.
@@AudioTechTV I am sorry to ask you so many questions but can UMC 22 Behringer drive DT 770 Pro 250 ohms?
@@harshilparmar877 get a DAC or read the manual for H400 ( static.rapidonline.com/pdf/35-4263.pdf ) the max output is 100 ohm on HA400 so your DT 770 250 ohm might sound a bit quiet ...
Do I need an audio interface it can I use this with my phone (via an aux cable)?
You can plug it into your phone, but you do need a 3.5-6.3 jack adapter

I actually want something I can put between my headphones and the engineer when I'm putting down drumtracks so I can control (usually turn down) the volume of the guide tracks the engineer sends me. Sick of being deafened by thoughtless engineers and wasting time with them controlling my level. Will this device allow you to turn the volume right down as well or only boost it? Thanks.
You can turn it all the way down if you like and that will completely mute whatever is being played through it. Just like having your headphone volume on zero.
@@AudioTechTV Thanks! That's what I needed to know :)
Here is my problem. I want to include a soundbar with my TV. It is an older model which only has a headphone out port. I assume I would have to amplify it since the soundbar I am looking at does not have a built in amp. The soundbar is a AWEI Y999 I would have to use a 3.5 Jack to 6.5 Jack Male Audio Cable for a balanced input. Would this work or is it even worth the effort. Thanks
This is a headphone amp not an amp to power soundbars. The sound bar you mentioned appears to have a 50 watt amp in it unless I’m reading the specs incorrectly. So this would be able to route audio to a sound bar that is powered but not provide enough power for an unpowered sound bar.
amazing video , full to the point !!!
Amazing review, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching. Keep creating! 👊👍
Hi. I am thinking of getting this HA400. I have a pretty standard integrated sound card in my PC (cannot upgrade it into something else or better). I need to amplify headphones source. I also use external speaker 2.1 system with a subwoofer (active one), which is connected to LINE OUT at the back of a PC. Do you think I could connect the HA400 (or other) to LINE OUT, and then connect the speaker system and headphones to HA400? Would this work? Thnx.
That should work. You’ll need a 1/4” adapter for the speakers and headphones so make sure if you have to buy one you get a stereo adapter (TRS) and not a mono one.
@@AudioTechTV OK, thnx :) alternatively I am thinking of BEHRINGER XENYX 502 to connect sound card, speakers, headphones, mic etc.
is it normal amplifiers get hshhhh noise at 70%+? please could u answer beucase i bough mackie hm-4 and it does that after 70%.. quallity of sound still good but is it normal of hshhhhh noises after that %%? please? they didn't had behringer micro so had to go for more expensive one
If nothing is playing I can crank mine up all the way and there is nothing. I just tested it out while playing some music and I can turn it up to about 75% before it's too loud and I still don't hear any hiss or background sound. So I would say it's not normal to hear that. Try disconnecting the input on the headphone amp, and see if that sound is still there even with nothing connected to it except your headphones. If there is still a noise there then it's coming from the amp itself. If the sound isn't there when it's disconnected then it could be the cable or whatever you have connected to it that's causing the sound and the headphone amp is just amplifying it.
@@AudioTechTV huh actually ones i unpluged the trs from there no much noise.. but i use a nice golden trs cable why ?
Can I connect this to my guitar ampli? Or I can only connect it with audio interface?
You can connect it to an amp or anything that has a headphone output.
@@AudioTechTV ok, thank you so much

You can connect the headphone amp directly to your computer or device that you want to use it with.

If you turn the volume down on the headphone amp then it will mute your headphones and you can still have your monitors as loud as you need them.
@@AudioTechTV awesome thank you my guy 🙏
So I'm guessing that you take an out put from your mixer into this device
Bought one of these and if I'm honest I'm not impressed. I wanted to connect to my behringer xenyx x1622usb which I'm running a podcast through. I wanted to run 4 sets of Sennheiser hd440s headphones out of it so the people can hear their levels, but the signal out I'm getting from the mixer is awful and sounds like I'm underwater on all channels. I've tried going straight from the computer and have the same issue. Hooked up a line out from the stereo and it's the same. Swapped out all the audio cables and it's still bad. In fact it's unusable. The headphones are fine on everything else. I've tried full signal out of the computer, mixer, and stereo and it's bad. I've tried low signal from all the devices and high signal from the head phone splitter and its bad. I've tried half on both, and it's bad. It's just not very good. Can't recommend it I'm afraid and it's going back to the seller.
It sounds like there's an issue with your one. I still use mine everyday for hours each day and it sounds the same as if I plugged my headphones into my interface directly. If you purchased it online, maybe they sent you the MicroMix MX400. It looks very similar but it isn't an amplifier. I've heard that's happened to a few people.
@Audio Tech TV so I bought a second one to see if mine was faulty and just got the same problem.
I did figure it out though.
It doesnt like these headphones being plugged all the way in.I think it has something to do with them having a microphone built into them.
Anyway. I went to my shed and got a tiny rubber washer, fitted that over the end on the jack and pushed it down and it works fine now. It can't get pushed down all the way. It's not perfect, but it works. Not sure if it's the microamp or the 3.5 to 6.35 jacks I've got, but that is the problem. So I think all mobile phone headphones or gaming-type headsets with a mic built-in may have this problem.
iM using umc 204 and audio technica m40x can this headphone amp power my headphone?
can i conncet a synthesizer on the input ??
You could connect a synth or an audio source to the input.
Great video! Can I use this device with a Marshall dsl5 cr on the emulated output of the amp? I am asking because the emulated out of the amp has terrible sound and I really want to practice with headphones. Is this device gonna change the quality of the sound? Thank you very much!
How come I've connected my 250 ohm DT 990 Pro headphones to it, and it's still low volume?
I turn the headphone volume on my audio interface to just over half (about 2 o’clock). I connect the headphone amp to the headphone output of the interface with a balanced stereo trs cable and I have lots of clean volume to work with. It has worked on both my Focusrite 2i2 and Audient ID44 audio interfaces. I’m not sure what your setup is like but setting it up like this should work.
Hi, have you solved your problem?
Hey, can I connect my headphone output from my Topping MX3 to the Behringer as shown in your video? The MX3 allows us to switch the headphone output on/off, so does that matter?
Hey, I have a pair of the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohms.. I am using these headphones for music production and mixing-mastering. Do I need to purchase an amplifier? Will it improve the sound QUALITY and CLARITY so that I can mix easier and with more confidence? Or it only gives you more space to crank up the volume without causing sound clipping and distortion?
You shouldn’t need it for the 80 ohm version. It doesn’t provide more clarity or quality it just gives more power. The 250 ohm version requires more power that’s the only reason I use it.
@@AudioTechTV Thanks
I use one of these in a home cinema system so we can use phones at nite.
this machine can play directly on the computer with the dt 770 80 ohm it plays loudly without spoiling the sound in the music. It has no bass or it is flat?
Yes you can connect it directly to your computer and it will provide lots of gain volume for your DT 770 80 ohm headphones. It is flat so whatever signal you put in that’s what you get out except it’s amplified.
can you use the input from the amp and just plug it in your pc aux port and it will work or do you need an audio interface ?
You can connect it to any device. It doesn’t need to be an audio interface.
Hello i have the U-PHORIA UM2 amp if i take HA400 with my amp i will can volume up more my 990 pro (250 ohm)? thank you.
Bro do you experience a crackling sound on your dt 990 using the um2?
Because i am experiencing a crackling sound whenever there is a huge ammount of bass in a track
Great video. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Keep creating! 👊👍
Ok so I have a Mackie headphone amp with a single input....I want to have silent band practice using my ekit and my guitarists amp.
Do I just plug use into my mixer and go from the headphones jack in my mixer out to the input of my amplifier? With a TRS cable
Yes that would work.
Thanks man!!!!
microphone aplifier or headphone?
As the title and video show, this is a headphone amplifier.
Hi ,i have a question, can i use this as stereo splitter?let say i want to use 2 guitar amp at the same time
The impedances would be off. If you’re wanting to plug your guitar into the input it’s expecting a stereo line input. You could maybe use a DI to connect the guitar into it but the outs are line level outputs. If your guitar amps accept line level sources then I guess you could use this if you plug your guitar into a di first .
Boa noite meu amigo parabéns pelo vídeo uma dúvida eu posso por um cabo de 30 metros da mesa de som do auxiliar a te o amplificador de fone ? E do amplificador uma estencao de 9 metros pro fone ? Um abraço
This is the video I needed to watch was looking to get the beredynamic 250 ohm and plug it into the focusrite. Amazing thank u
Also took the beyer 990 pro 250ohm and looking if this amp is good. On my focusrite (2i2) they don't sound loud enough. Do you have it already?
What do you plug into the Input? Sorry not very tech savvy and trying to use this Amp for two podcast users in the same location.
I have the headphone output of my interface connected to the input of the headphone amp using a TRS cable.
HI , i do have audio technica m40x do i need a amp for that and my soundcard I'm using is behringer umc204
The m40X only require 32 Ohms. The UMC204 will have no problem powering those.
@@AudioTechTV but the spec of m40x is 35 ohm not 32 ohm also?
this is only good for 250 ohm or something. Using this is with normal headphones like qc35 II doesnt have an impact at all.
It should work with any headphones. It's just an amplifier. If it isn't amplifying your audio then maybe there is an issue with it.
@@AudioTechTV yes and No. Since More Ohm means More "Power" there will BE a.difference in amplifiying qc35 II or beyer 1990 Pro ...
Can you use any of the out put to connect to a laptop
Can I connect the amp directly to a laptops 3.5mm jack? I don't have an interface. Thanks
Yes you can.
Thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching. Keep creating! 👊👍
i need a preamp for my gaming headphones because they sound too low, my headphones have an impedance of 32 ohms, can this preamp fit?
This can provide tons of power for 32 ohm headphones. They power my 250 ohm headphones easily.
@@AudioTechTV I was wrong sorry, the headphones are 23 ohm, however as far as I understand they should be fine right?
@@giovane.ricognizione the lower the ohms, the less power they require. This headphone amp could power those easily. So could pretty much any audio interface.
Hello so, im planning to buy this, and i just wanted to ask if do i actually need to plug sometthing into that "Input" i do not have a audio interface but the reason why im planning to buy this is because i have a Headphones that needs more power, and im just wondering if do i just directly plug my headphones into that "1, 2, 3, 4" and everything is set?, or do i really do have do plug something into that "Input" like an audio inteerface or something? Thanks a lot for this review!
You need to plug something into the input or else you have nothing to listen to with your headphones. You don’t need an audio interface, you can plug the output of whatever you want into the input. Just make sure you use a trs cable so it will be in stereo.
@@AudioTechTV Thank you for replying ASAP, but i do only have like 2 devices the Headset (this headset i have has a TRS extra too) and Speakers, and i think i have another pair earphones, with all these devices i have could you explain nto me how to set it up? i will be more than glad to hear!
Whatever the sound comes from plugs to the INPUT. 1,2,3,&4 are headphone or monitor outputs. 1 Signal goes in....sound comes out of 4 channels
if i connect this to a tv directly without a receiver and use multiple 3.5mm headphones to listen will they work with a trs 1/4 to 1/8 adapter?
Yes they will work with an adapter. I use a 1/4” adapter all the time with mine. Thank you for watching.
Рад приветствовать! 250ом раскачает?
what happens if i use am unbalanced cable to connect it to my audio interface
It would be in mono and not sound the greatest.
