There is a dime size leak along the rim of the stuck lid. I will try cleaning the pot with water/vinegar and see if that solves the problem. Thank you.
Great review. Very thorough and to the point. No unnecessary information. Spoke clearly and intelligently. Product was in the shot when needed. Now I no longer need to read the manual. This was certainly very helpful. Nice job!
I have had this MrCoffee brewer for the last 15 years. It is the best coffee brewer I have ever owned. 2 of my neighbors have the same coffee brewer. Very easy to operate and maintain.
The review was great. We have been using this pot for about a year, and it is the best one I have ever bought (out of about a dozen). Lot's of people complain about spillage all over the counter, but the few times this has happened to us is because of two things: We forgot to empty the carafe from the previous brew (since container is not clear), or else the carafe was not pushed in completely, so this was our own fault. Otherwise, I LOVE it!!!
Awesome instructions! I just had issue with setting clock. If hour and minute button doesn’t work - unplug wait about 5-minutes then try setting time again it will work; at least for me it did, I had brewed first batch of coffee without setting clock and couldn’t set the clock, lol. Hope this helped. I like the coffee was very good.
This worked well for the first year but now we are getting coffee spilling all over our counter due to coffee grounds overflowing the coffee ground canister and clogging up the drain hole. We like strong coffee so if you are a drinker who likes their coffee light it may be fine but for us our only solution is to use less coffee grinds to stop the oveflowing or make a half pot of coffee.
When you START with everything COLD, then more stuff you add to it the colder it will get. Fill the pot with HOT water Fill your cup with HOT water Use a cream pitcher, nuke it for a min to take the COLD off the milk Then fill the water tank, dump out the pot..brew the coffee..put it in the HOT cup, add warm cream if that's how you drink it..if you use a spoon..let it sit in the coffee cup with the hot water too. Mine brews at 194°F, from the carafe that's pre heated it's at 185! Pour it, mix it..it's at 170-175. If you can drink it hotter than that it's a miracle!! About 150 is as hot as it comes anyplace, and that's HOT on the tongue!! Once in the carafe it stays very hot for at least 3 hours or more, if you pre heat the carafe. It's just common sense guys..give it a shot. Who knows..if you preheat the carafe, that MAY be all you need to heat up. But when you drink it like this lovely lady does, about half and half, of half and half 🙂..then NOTHING short of heating up that cream will keep it even warm!! Laugh! Thanks for the video..it was great!!😀 Love the coffee maker, works a LOT better than my last 3 did! The only one I have found hotter is the Bunn personal coffee maker, about $120 or so from Amazon. The ONLY problem with that one is, it's just like the Professional one. You HAVE to keep it ON so the tank water STAYS HOT all the time!! So your using five times the power of a normal coffee maker. But..it's SUPER FAST! And it's ALWAYS hot! If you go through a LOT of coffee in a day..THAT is the pot to buy! Good luck! Thanks again! 😀
Gary Heaton I agree with you, you just have to tweak your process to get the results you want ya know.... all I do is brew my coffee as normal, when I pour in my cold creamer I mix it up and microwave it for 15 secs and it’s hotter than anyone could even tolerate on your tounge, easy and simple. Just nuke it for 15 and your good to go
Great review! I'd add one note: The coffee maker is not forgiving if one puts in an amount of grounds that nears the top of the filter. We've had ours overflow and wow what a mess. Follow the reviewer's directions, maybe add a little if you like it strong, and you should avoid the flood / mess we've caused ourselves a few times.
Bless you. Nowhere else was I able find out how to get the freaking lid off of the decanter! (I'm 70 years old, so what might be obvious to a younger person wan't to me! ;) ) Great review!
When I tried to set my clock the hour and minute buttons did not work. I also could not set the delay brew. I looked it up online and you have to do certain things for some machines to get the hour and minute buttons to function and I did make it work after following the advice online.
Just bought this coffee maker due to the fact that the glass pots in the Black and Decker one's I have bought are so very very fragile, or I am very very rough with them, and this has a metal carafe which I hopefully won't crack. I liked the B&D as it was a cheap and easy machine and I still have one base unit that I have never used, just used the pot. Hopefully this one will last me at least 10 years. Only thing I don't like about it so far is that it seems to pour slowly, and the lid seems to have something loose and rattling inside.
I have this model and have used in for the past year, I noticed that the black paint inside the coffee pot is coming off (making the water black when I clean it) does anyone else have this problem? Not to happy about drinking paint.
I liked the video ... have not used mine yet so cannot remark on the machine yet. Try soy or almond creamer. Much better than cow's milk ... coffee taste more pure.
I can’t find anything online about water being trapped in the walls of the carafe itself. Coffee sometimes leaks out from between the plastic and stainless. I’m afraid some of that old liquor is getting into my fresh coffee. Do they come apart?!
Hi, you can try Amazon or this site: www.ereplacementparts.com/search_result.php?manufacturer=Mr.%2BCoffee&q=Pstx Please make sure it matches the model number before buying. Hope that helps😁
Reviewing it as brand new is not what we need. I have had this coffee maker for a few years. My mother also has the same coffee maker. For the most part I have been happy with it. However, after using it for a little while, the machine will start to get stuck. The only moving part on the device is the spring that is on the basket. Over time, it loses its ability spring back and forth. What ends up happening is that the machine thinks the pot is not in place, and eventually the coffee machine overflows out of the basket...subsequently ending up all over the floor and counter top. Once it starts to go...its over for that part. You will continue to have this issue once it manifests the first time. My mother has also experienced the same malfunction with this coffee machine. For that reason, I have decided to buy a better coffee machine that will not have these problems as I am tired of scrubbing my kitchen and cleaning the grout between my tiles because this coffee machine is not built to last. The only moving part is made extremely poor. Trust me on this everyone...makes good coffee...but will eventually make a mess on your floor and that is a guarantee.
the resevoir lid is tragic. Can anyone answer why the unit should stay on at all after filling a thermal carafe? The unit should automatically turn off after the beep alert the brew cycle has completed. Perhaps a few minutes on might be justifiable for any residual brew material to clear. But what does it do for two hours of essentially standby mode on time?
Does target sell the replacement water filters? thanks for the video! also I just bought it but now worried about the water leaking! have you had this issue?
5 Acres on the Bayou thanks for the reply just used my bran new one yesterday morning and the light for cleaning went on this morning! is that normal? only used it twice
didn't answer my one question which is: WHY the beep 2 hours later? what is my machine telling me? If anyone out there speaks in beep, please let me know.
Makes great coffee as long as it lasts. We liked the features, the look, etc. Lasted about 2 months at one pot a day. I just tried to take it apart to search the problem and I could not break in to the interior without damaging the case. It has simply quit heating the water. Very disappointed. We found the carafe did not keep the coffee hot any longer than about 2 hours. Our cuisinart lasted 12 years and made good coffee til the last pot. No more mr coffee for us!
My coffee pot leaks where the black and silver meets together around that seem when I pour coffee it starts leaking around that . I haven't had that even a month I love the coffee pot
This coffee machine only lasted a few months. The buttons don't work. I called the company to report the short period that it lasted. They were not very nice and they said there was nothing they could do, even after i reminded them of the cost and the short time it lasted. I would never recommend anyone buying from this company
Does target sell the replacement water filters? thanks for the video! also I just bought it but now worried about the water leaking! have you had this issue?
This has to be one of the most thorough reviews I've ever seen. Thank you and great job.
Hi Vassni, thanks so much for the positive comments. Please subscribe if you haven't already :)
Does it leak? I hope you see this. I'm disabled and trying to choose between this and a Mr. Coffee strong brew

Tthasst was the same and only reason ours ever overflowed.
Answered several of my questions during your review. Thank you very much!
+Jeff Dodig Hi Jeff, glad the video was helpful 😀
Best coffee pot I have ever had, mine is going on 3 yrs .I make about 2 pots a day.😊
Thanks for sharing 😀
@@bestkitchenreviews I would like to ask you do you find the time light a bit dim even if it's not set on dim?

Best one I've ever bought. Worth every dollar. Buy the gold basket too. Coffee tastes better
Great coffee pot but the light is too dim to see the time. Is there a way to fix this

Thank you so much for this awesome review and instructions.
First I bought leaked, just replaced it with another, the pot leaked around the seam on pot. We will see if it does it again
Should I unplug the machine when not using it or keep it plugged at all times?

Excellent review! Thank you
🤩
Picked one up at Ollies 29.99. Brews fast looks good, but that shut off got me. The pot does keep it warm but only for so long.
Is 3 hours not long enough?
Hey really great review I've already purchased mine thanks to you .

Well Done and your pretty too! I'm buying this brand new for $30.00 today!!
How do you remove the stuck lid of my 10 cup Mr Coffee decanter?

My vinegar doesn't go through when cleaning. Any ideas?
I lost the carafe's lid, where can I buy it?

I can't set the delay time on this thing.can anyone help pls?
Most specialty shops would recommend 3x as much coffee than the manual suggests. 12 Tbsp for 6 cups vs their 4.5.
Do you still using this product? I am between this and the black and decker CM2035BD

Only once. I didn't have the carafe pushed all the way into the base. Totally My Fault.

Helpful!
Is this coffee machine quiet or loud?

do you have to have the water filter in to run it just wondering because mine broke
Hi, you don't have to use the water filter to make coffee in this unit :)
Great review. Thank u.
Glad you liked it :)
The coffee doesn't seem to get hot enough for me. I wish that the hot plate warmed up.
+Erin Boyea Hi Erin, the purpose of the thermal carafe is to keep the coffee hot. The warming plate heats up only on units without a thermal carafe :)
mine leak as soon as i use it!
I bought this and it leaked so bad. I took it back
Has anyone hacked a way to just make 1 cup or use a kcup in it?
the filter doesnt go on top, it goes in the bottom... that's why it has lever that holds the filter in the botton...
also she didn't use the circle filter, is that normal???
Sugar and half and half??? That's the way I like it too!
:)
thank's :)

Leaks Only when I don't push the carafe into the base far enough. NO problems at all other than that.
My coffee pot leaks where the black and silver meets together around that seem when I pour coffee it starts leaking around that . I haven't had that even a month I love the coffee pot
Would you like some coffee with your half and half? lol
This pot lost me at 170 degrees.
The only thing I don't like about this product it doesn't stay hot and you can't reheat it...smh unless you warm it up on the stove on low low...🤣

@@rmejia413 Try warming the thermal carafe with hot water and emptying before brewing. Like any thermos, this helps it hold the heat.
