I just ordered this machine, it's arrival is today. I am so happy I found your set up video. I'm sure the directions in the package are not as clear. I do appreciate the time you took to make this! Thanks.. looking forward to the attempt myself.
@@joeyrangel3927 after reviewing your video and opening and setting up the machine today as I was going to power it up I came to the realization I can power it just before going to bed and then add the brew water when I wake up. OR my husband who gets up an hour before me can power it on then, when I wake I can add the brew water... Instead of worrying (we are elderly) about power usage! Again... thank you
Not even the instructions were this clear. Thank you! Certainly a unique brewing experience. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I thought it was broken! 🤣
I had a hard time with it at first too. Once you get it figured out it makes really good coffee. But the whole thing with having to fill it, then re-fill it, turn it on, wait fifteen minutes, fill it again, blah blah blah. It’ll definitely take some getting used to.
Good machine. Good warranty. Bunn sent me a new one after mine started having problems almost 3 years after I bought it. Just set up the new one today. I like the fact that Bunn made the indicator lights brighter on the switches. Great USA company.
Nope, just the "Brew Set Up" from here on out! Fill the carafe with water once, lift the fill door at the top of the machine, poor the full carafe water in the fill port, put your carafe back under the machine, close the fill door and it will start brewing. Unless you leave the machine on for over a week without using it which will dry up the back tank, you'll never have to do the initial set-up.
So actually the coffee pot Has to stay on all night and plugged in? And if so is that the only way in order to brew the coffee the coffee pot stays on 24 hours a day I don't understand that one
Yes, you're correct. I drink coffee a lot, so I leave mine on 24hrs a day. Do when I go to make coffee, it's literally coming out instantly. I do turn it off if I'm going to be gone for a couple days, or on vacation. If you do turn it off everyday, the next time you make coffee it's going to take maybe 20 minutes for the water to heat up that's in the back of the tank.
It takes about 20 minutes to heat the water in the tank so you can switch it on that much ahead of time if you don’t want to leave it on all the time. I’ll normally leave mine on unless I’ll be away for a few days. It doesn’t really use a lot of electricity once the water is heated until it cycles again.
YES!! Since this one has the glass carafe, it has a hot plate that the carafe sits on. If you have a model with a stainless steel carafe, then that one does not have a hot plate. I leave the main machine on all of the time to keep the water in the back hot. If I leave for more than 2 days, I will shut the whole machine off. Since I have the burner plate in the front because of my glass carafe, I only turn that on when I make coffee to keep the pot hot, then I always turn that one off.
I'm very disappointed. The dumb steps u have to take after spending 200 and no visual line of internal water? Sleepy people who just wake up are not happy with this.

i thought mine was broken already lmao these bunn coffee makers are weird

@@clane1700 So true! I love mine.
Mind-blowingly ridiculous concept
Thank you. That was very helpful.
Of course! Glad I could help!
I like the Bunn heat N Brew.
Thank you
So every time we make coffee we are to do intial setup and then the brew setup?

How do you empty out the back tank if necessary?
I have found you need to unsnap the top and turn it upside down. Make sure the water is not hot before you do this.

@@joeyrangel3927 wow, that is an intriguing concept. I too drink coffee each day, so I guess I'll be leaving it on. Hum

Do you leave the coffee pot ALWAYS on and just add the amt of water each time plus coffee grounds

Do you peel off blue skim from back panel
I did because it looks nicer and it was intended to come off, but you can definitely leave it on if you want.
How long do you have to wait until you can make the first brew of coffee?
I would wait about 20 minutes!
Can I just brew 4 cups and dump old grinds.
Yes, you can make as many cups that are marked on the pot.
@@joeyrangel3927 Will it be possible to show us how to brew only 4 cups? 6 cups? Thank you!
You forgot to put the coffee filter in before brewing coffee.
🤣 Yeah, I didn't actually be coffee, I just went through the process for education purposes.

Yeah, these coffee makers are different for sure.
