  • Reverse seared prime rib is on the menu today! The smoked prime rib that I made a few weeks ago was so good that my Dad bought me another prime rib for Christmas - and today we’re cooking an easy prime rib on the Weber kettle grill! We’ll start off with my new favorite way to make prime rib on the grill - creating a horseradish butter “rub” to slather the roast with. Then, I’ll show you how I set up the charcoal bed in my Weber kettle grill.
Once we get the standing rib roast seasoned and prepped, I’ll show you how to reverse sear prime rib on the charcoal grill. This reverse seared prime rib was amazing - way better than we’ve had at any restaurant! And be sure to make our homemade horseradish cream sauce to serve with it!

That looks awesome! I think I'd take that deal - a prime rib, and all ya gotta do is cook it to perfection! Nailed it, Neal!

Yours turned out much better than mine did for sure. I did a 3 bone on the Pit Boss Pro yesterday and and should’ve fired up the Egg instead. Night and day difference. You had me with the dove poppers though!!🤤🤤🤤

You’re the first person outside of my buddy Rick, that I’ve seen make dove poppers. He hunts doves down here in south Texas every winter and makes them as appetizers for our small group of friends. They are popular.

Dejavu - I have almost the same Weber, but mine has the small propane bottle starter, and mini table. They dont make my version any more. But I have had it since Weber first produced these. I am a major fan of them. Why, because you can do just about anything on them. Smoke, Grill, Reverse Searing, even Pizza oven. I have been cooking my primes very very similar to what you are doing for many years now. My preparation is a bit different with seasoning, but I do coat it with butter, bbq seasoning & rosemary… but the reversing portion is almost identical. LOL. If you looking for an idea for a future episode…. Go back to back yard basics… Get Chicken qtrs… set up the grill in reverse sear… you get the awesome smoky bbq flavor and that perfect skin… dont ask me how I know… LOL… Hit me up if you need more ideas for it… I cook my Chili, Gumbo, Fajitas, beans, biscuits just about everything on my Weber Summit Charcoal. Ohhhh want the best Tri Tip… yep… reverse sear it…

@@PelletsandPits Another thing, I use lump charcoal for lots of thinks, but for chicken/turkey, I use B&B hickory brickets… (i think thats its hickory), I prefer the brickets, because you get more stable temps, with fewer peaks temps, like you have with lump… But I use lump for most other things.

@ 10:50 That wire brush??? Will it leave wire fragments on the grill??? Some Cheap Chinese grill brushes did and sends people to the hospital.
I own a example of the wire brush that was at fault. Why not use a torch and a knife ???? A hospital emergency surgery is not fun Happy New Year
