Thank you. Thanks for watching!
Sounds great my friend they are addictive
Thanks. The cool thing is if you make them yourself you can have as many different ones as you want.
I have the same nippers., I used a bench grinder to flatten tip to get a closer cut...great channel...👍
It's on my todo list, it's a long list.😀 Thanks for watching.
Great video! Thanks for the great tips. Im building my first cbg myself. How do you get such a smooth glossy finish on the fret board? Is it a particular product or technique? Might make a good video too!
Good question! First, thank you for watching and good luck on your build. The finish is just spray can clear lacquer satin finish. Two to three coats with sanding in between coats with 320 grit sandpaper. After the final coat is dry, I use 0000 Steel Wool, thats superfine. I use the steel wool like sandpaper or a rag that I am cleaning with just rubbing the whole thing. Not just straight, not just circles, just random. And thanks for noticing, I thing the fretboard looks awesome too.
Nice job! Did you cut the headstock to make it thinner for the tuners?
Thanks and thanks for watching! I did cut the headstocks on the bandsaw. I already had my tuners so I knew how thin to cut the headstock.
What finish did you use on the neck. I noticed a shine which to me is perfect and would like to duplicate on a 3-string I’m building.
Rustoleum 2x clear Lacquer Semi Gloss. Three light coats maybe four. The wood was sanded to 220 grit. I sanded with 320 grit between coats of clear. Thanks for watching!
Great video, do you sell the ukes you build?
Thank you! And thanks for watching! I do sell them, but nothing in stock now.

Grind off the fret cutter till the end is flat with the edge of the blade of the cutter.
Yes. I want to inspire people to build, so I say, "Use what you have. If the tool can be modified to make it better, then absolutely modify. Thanks Clawhammer, and thank you for watching.
