    The block under height adjustment is a great idea. I will do that to my set up. Thanks

    Thank you for showing me you setup. I like the small saw (I saw one of the other builders with one). Also I like that table. I think you have two put together. Thanks again.

    Very helpful, thanks! Genius idea to use the paint stick for a fret scale- giving you advance credit cause I'm going to borrow that idea. Mighty Mite saw to the wish list!

      Thanks, and I will soon be sharing additional insight on some improvements I already made to the fret scale. Stay tuned!

    Can't wait for the follow ups. Learning how to make a fretted neck is critcal, when building a CBG!

    Neat work very well organized planned builds. Your modifications and set up make fast work of slotting a fretboard.

    Nice set up. Really like the fret jig out of the paint stick. Gonna have to invest in a mighty might!

    The cbg builder community seems to be split on the efficacy of the mighty mite, some say it works great (only for fret slots) others say it's garbage... I haven't tried one yet but Del Puckett and yourself show it works fine! Nice job!

      I only use mine for slots, only drawback ive had was a slightly warped blade (from the blade store) that cuts the slots a hair wider than my hand saw

      @@FantaconeBoxWorks I bit the bullet and recently bought a mighty mite and am in the process of building a slot cutting sled. I bought a jeweler's blade a few months ago intending to use my Shopsmith, made a sled etc. When I got the blade I saw it had a 0.025 kerf, I figured what can 2/1000's bigger be any big deal. Well, a test cut proved it is just larger enough, just so that I'd need to glue each fret to insure it stayed... so, I ordered a proper 0.023 kerf blade from a different company ...
      The mighty mite is proving very fiddly, the table adjustment is way too simplistic to insure stability, I'll be making 4 corner posts to fit underneath the table to keep the table at a guaranteed set height...

    Hey, wait a minute. How wide is the blade on the table saw (or how wide is the opening that it cuts) and what frets are you using? Love your channel!

    • @BurrellGuitars
      @BurrellGuitars  3 роки тому +1

      The blade width is .023. The slot on the jig is the width of the blade that came with the saw. You will want to make the cut to slot the jig before installing the jeweler's saw blade. I use medium/medium nickel-silver frets. BTW a video on my fret installation technique is in the works. Thanks!

      @@BurrellGuitars Awesome! Thanks! The info on the blade is SO helpful. I found that small table saw on Amazon but the ratings weren't too good. I am going to see if there is an alternative. I hate to buy ANOTHER power tool but your process is so much faster than anything I've seen yet. Can't wait to the the fret installation video!

    You can't get those paint sticks or Mighty Mite in England...unless you know otherwise? Tia.

    • @BurrellGuitars
      @BurrellGuitars  3 роки тому +1

      I do not know what the equivalent of Home Depot or Lowe's is in England. Perhaps B&Q, which does have a product somewhat similar to the paint sticks although a bit narrower and thicker at 32mm x 12mm. Regarding the Mighty Mite, it is possible that the product is distributed across Europe, mostly likely under a different name. Nonetheless, here is a U.K. website that offers mini table saws that looks vastly superior to the Mighty Mite.

      Good luck!
