Great video Troa. I was surprised you did not use your spotter plane, until I realized you were using premium. Maybe I'm using mine too much?(even though I get two free each game) I'm mostly playing ED again, however when I do play WOW I still play on the NA server. I am still sticking exclusively to the USA line, although the plane configurations available on the USA Carriers (CV)are really bad. Up-side: I am getting a lot better with the dive bombers. I have actually sunk a few Destroyers that way. Torpedo bombers are far more fun though. I have tried the fully defensive (all or mostly fighter) configurations, however it is really hard to gain damage with your CV that way. I have noticed that CVs tend to hide in Random games, however once you reach Ranked, you are expected to keep up with the fleet (albeit at the back) That takes a lot of switching, particularly with 3 squadrons airborne. Of course in the game depicted in this video, hiding was the enemy CVs best option.
Also you can press Z to follow the shots to the target it makes for some good visuals and really helps for correcting your aim as you can see where the shots land up close

Yeah the New Mexico is fantastic and you'll love the North Carolina at tier 8 once you get it and have it upgraded. But the Colorado I hated so be warned
?? isn't the carrier able to see you because you just fired at the Warspite? i mean u can see ur New Mexico's visibility threshold radius in the minimap, after you fired ur guns at Warspite (or any ship really, as long as u fired the gun and an enemy have line of sight to see it) it's so frigging huge it basically cover most of the map quadrant
That's what I figured but that would still mean it had line of sight to me so its still interesting that I couldn't see it either. The only way that could have happened is if he was on the left side of the map.
Actually he could just be at the north and you still wouldn't see him Independence will be surface detected at 10.3km last i recall baring any skill and equipment on either side, given the position of your ship and your teammates... around the center of the map at the time, he could be pretty much anywhere closer to the edge of the map and will be safely outside detection range of anyone in your team. your New Mexico on the other hand after firing would be detected at 24.8km because of the gunfire penalty... he could quite literally be anywhere on most part of the map and would be able to see you as long as he has line of sight.
Troa Barton nah he didn't covered all of the top half of the area because the planes he sent only managed to reach the north section by the time the match ended, the Independence was last detected in the 4:50 mark on the video i think setting course to north-northeast and after that the friendly planes were not able to penetrate deep into that part right until the end of it mainly because the hostile Independence sent out a pretty strong fighter contingent that made the friendly air assets pulled back in the mid point of the match around 7:50 mark where 2 hostile fighter squadron basically chased off your friendly air strike assets. judging from the planes flight pattern through most of the rest of the match, he is definitely somewhere in the north and northeast section of the map. with air detectability of 11.5km that gives him a pretty big room still in the northeast part where he's still safely outside detection range of both surface and air at the end of the match.
Really? Why do you say that? I've used all three and the Bayern is nice but lacks range, speed, and rudder shift. The Fuso I do not like at all its just covered in citadels and you have to show so much of your ship to fire all your guns. Not to mention it's also slow and has a horrible turning radius.
although i am not into that kind of game. The video was surprisingly entertaining! :)

Do you use the standard crosshair because I really recommend the dynamic one, once you know how to use it, it makes aiming much easier

You should have switched to AP rounds right after that Molotov was gone? Would be much more painfull for that enemies NM

Looking at the bloom I had after firing my guns he was probably in the A10 quadrant up against the edge of the map.
