Beverly could not put on the headdress, which she'd borrowed from the Smooth-On booth. For a photo of her with the headdress on, go to her site, specifically here: downencreativestudios.com/?p=2142
ArchangelExile She made it for Smoothon. They have her original Hela suit as well. You can’t see it but I made the stand (3D head scan/print) the headdress is sitting on.
@@coregeek Ah, thanks for the info. Figured she'd have a headdress for herself too since she's all dressed up. And I wish they showed the stand that you had made. I actually kind of expected the camera to pan towards the stand when Adam placed the headdress back. But, alas, it was not meant to be.
Adam's enthusiasm is infectious. I love how he blends fan boy excitedness with his expertise knowledge base. He compares notes with materials and techniques that few other people that interview could probably pull off. He also never attempts to instruct or be condescending which is just wonderful when watching someone of his experience. At the same time those he interviews seem to value his input and often give credit to him when applicable. Just a wonderful thing to watch.
9:53 Could you make longer outro so you do not need to put those boxes on top of people faces. I don't mind if outro would be just black image with these links to older videos.
Smooth-On thank you for lending it to me for the interview! It was so wonderful having it in my hands again, even for a short while. I’ll be making myself another one soon! ☺️
What a baddass cosplay, she completely nails the Hella look too! :D Edit: She would make a perfect Jean Gray from the X-men movies 0.o (I can totally imagine the movie character being absolutely obsessed with her outfit as well, such a tough lady to please :P)
Those of you wanting to see full outfit shots check out her instagram or website. I it seems like she doesn't wear the wig when wearing the headpiece so she may not have been able to wear it during the interview if she' was wearing a wig or if it was her real hair she might need to put it up. But I agree some shots edited in would have been nice.
wwaxwork I wish it had been possible to make that happen! But you’re right, it takes me several hours to prep my hair, etc to wear the helmet, and I just didn’t have the ability to borrow the helmet and prep in the same day. Logistics didn’t work out that day, but it was great to chat about it with Adam! ☺️
Ok so I’m not a cosplayer (too old) but what I’d like to know is with so many materials in a costume like this how is it cleaned?, You can’t just throw it in the washing machine and I’m sure no dry cleaning company would touch it.
Really lets you know the amount of time spent on these..... Amazing work.... Now go articulate the helmet for version 3 😁 so it moves around like in the movie 👍
What the ... how did you just have a 10 minute video and NOT let us see Beverly wear the darn thing ? She's in costume and everything! But no, no full costume shot with headpiece. Why ???
We explain why she couldn't put on the headdress for us in the pinned comment, but here's a photo of Beverly in the headdress, from her site: downencreativestudios.com/?p=2142

I love this series of talks about there costume builds, a lot. I hope you have more.
@@NielsNL68 We do! We did seven interviews in all.
She borrowed it from the Smooth-On booth? I thought she made it? Why borrow something you made?

the detail on this suit is absolutely incredible ... i totally need to attempt some sort of text like this in a future build
So beautiful to see Adam show case makers and cosplayers aswell from time to time. Great to see.
I wish they would have showed us her with the helmet on.
thought the same
Yes, sorry about that. We explain why in the pinned comment. Here's a photo of her with it on, though: downencreativestudios.com/?p=2142
@@tested ty!
Or the costume off but hey what ever floats your boat =)
I feel like Adam is having to remind himself that he has to resist the urge to admiringly feel the textures of the suit.
Yikes.
Totally. Wholesome Adam.
yeah totally out of control there :*D
aye aye sailor
Another day another friend highlighted on Tested! Beverly is an amazing maker and cosplay advocate. So great to see her here again!
9:53 Could you make longer outro so you do not need to put those boxes on top of people faces. I don't mind if outro would be just black image with these links to older videos.
Yes please.
The thumbnail video boxes are one of the worst things youtube has come up with. :(
This video never gets old! I love watching it from time to time. Beverly is a true legend at her craft.
Was waiting the whole video to see her wear the helmet... and it never happens. :(
Exactly, how can you make a whole video about this and she never wears it!
thx for your comment i stopped watching the video
Follow her Facebook page, she has tons of pics and videos.
that was disappointing
Fuck!
That is an amazing headdress & cosplay by Beverly! So much thought went into the design of it!
Always great when like minded people meet to share their passion.
Awesome video, and amazing workmanship! Thanks for posting this interview!
Smooth-On thank you for lending it to me for the interview! It was so wonderful having it in my hands again, even for a short while. I’ll be making myself another one soon! ☺️
So much skill being used in these designs, perhaps the industry could learn a few from them....👍🏼

I was going to say the same..
Totally agree on the Jean Gray comment.
@@coregeek Awesome!
these cosplay creators are amazing.
I've followed her builds for a the past year! Her techniques are so awsome! I need a cricut machine now lol
SO GOOD! She is my Hero!
That is one of my favorite costumes. Beverly is such an inspiration. =D
That costume looks fantastic. Great job!!!
Great job on this cosplay. She makes an awesome Hela.
She is stunning!
She's so damn beautiful
Thanks
Sad desperate little man....
Epic! Hela is my fave.
yess love this!!!! wish I coulda seen hela v2 !!!
She's great! Awesome costume!
you need to invite her to the shop to do a similar project as i don’t fully understand her methods, seems like there’s lots to learn.
setphaser She has the full Hella build documented in detail on her website. downencreativestudios.com/?p=2142
Next level creativity!
Sweet Jesus that's a massive head dress, amazingly done.
I love Adam he is so cool
I used a "duct tape" dummy of my self ??!!
That sounds like a great episode 😉
Don't tell me you completely missed that Adam 😂
That's a great costume. Would it be possible to add a list in the description above that includes all of the products used to create that suit?
“I feel like killing people.” - Adam Savage
Astro Knight 326 everyone
RUN!
That one got me! I can't stop laughing for some reason.
Epic attention to detail! Those horns are just begging to be motorised and remote controled

Awesome costume !!!!!!!
Adam with the subtle flex of the mars yards!
3:26 - All the single nerds "DANGIT!"
Amazing detail
I thought that was Famke Janssen for a moment there. Sorry I didn't read the title. Awesome Costume!
Respect for wearing out your Tom Sachs Nike's! To bad they were like not available in Europe ... (no bootcamp here).
Use of magnets was cool.
Use of magnets is always cool!
Adam looked like an old school outdoor TV antenna with the headpiece on.
I'm calling it now folks! Adam cosplays as Aku for his next con!
AMAZING!
When I saw the thumbnail I was like holy beautiful. She reminded me of cate blanchett then with the costume she really looks like hela.
The helmet it's so sick
Stunning!
That was awesome
excellent tick reference! SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
This chick is RAD!!!
Beverly just answered a question I have been needing an answer to for months. Sil-Poxy, god I feel like and idiot for not looking for it
Amazing !!!
Adam, your mission (if you choose to accept it) is to make your next con costume as comfortable as this.
Awesome!
I would LOVE to see a video showing exactly how she made that suit, I'm like "how did she DO that?!"
Y. Shaked It’s all documented on her website build write up. downencreativestudios.com/?p=2142
WOW
The horns move in the movie?
@mark king Well yea, but I always thought they were fixed like antlers on a deer.

Spray bottle filled with vodka is a common cosplay cleaning technique to wipe down the inside of the body suit. It sterilizes and is unscented.
Should have someone with you that holds a sign "wide cosplay"
Really lets you know the amount of time spent on these..... Amazing work.... Now go articulate the helmet for version 3 😁 so it moves around like in the movie 👍
Please bring back the Savage Aeronautics and Space Administration shirts! :
awesome 😀

Hellaaaaa.....😍💖
Hela cool!

Me when fam wakes me up early XD
Adam is like a kid in a candy store
Spent the beginning of the video waiting for Adam to poke someone’s eye out with it.

Don't forget to follow her Instagram!
I feel like she could reuse that helmet for a Hexadecimal(from Reboot) cosplay as well.
What if one used Black 3.0 for, well, black parts of a costume?
Ah, the classic "no one but me knows it's there, but since I know it's there it will bug me forever"
Do a video with Tori Grant and Kari please. Whatever anything with them.
Nice 👍
Adam savage is like Mr rogers but for geek people.
Is that Famke Janssen?
Whats a cricket? I keep hearing reference to it/one.
ua-cam.com/video/k6Y28GCrLKI/v-deo.html
She looks like Famke Janssen from X-Men
Wow
10 minute video and not a SINGLE shot of her actually wearing the headdress. not even in the still shots...
We explain why she couldn't put on the headdress for us in the pinned comment, but here's a photo of Beverly in the headdress, from her site: downencreativestudios.com/?p=2142
i think we can all agree it was stupid of them not to show her with the helmet on! WOW!
She takes the credit away from Spiderman... The Amazing Hela Costume!
Damn she could be her double in tye movie.
She was doubled in the movie by zoe bell.
Now kith!
Would have loved to see her wear the helmet just once to see the whole thing together....
Pound it, bow it, butt bump it, shimmy jump it, and say Adam is amazeballs!
and it doesn't hurt that she's hot
Nice adam is adam
BANANAH SPREAD That is true.
With al the respect: she is hellishly G O R G E O U S.
WHY DIDNT SHE WEAR IT BUT YOU COULD???
Helmet reminds me of aku from samurai jack
never shows her wearing it
No 360 view
Cletus would add tin foil for his Fox News antenna.
The helmet reminds me of a shadow vessel from Babylon 5.
