You must have missed the end where Kaito rescues Miku from being imprisoned. It's not a song about lust and sex. It's a song about forbidden love and the girl comparing herself to Cinderella because Cinderella got a happy ending with her prince, whereas Romeo and Juliet died together instead.

Actually, Juliet drank a potion which would make her appear dead. She was given it by a friend of Romeo's, and was going to give Romeo a letter saying that she wasnt dead. Romeo didnt recieve it, and he drank a bottle of poison next to Juliet's body. Juliet finally woke up and say he was dead, and stabbed herself in the heart

I think the apple is a symbol of her innocence. In the beginning of the video she was holding it away from her but at the same time looked desperate to hold onto it. Then he kissed her and she sort of dropped it, signifying that she had let her innocence go

I’ve loved this song/video for many years, and now as an adult I’ve come to interpret it as the intensity of first love. It’s something the singer has never actually experienced before, as she now exists in the border between childhood and maturity, and so she contextualizes her feelings through the stories she read as a child.
I feel like the person who made this PV tried to add their own interpretation of the song to it. We see a lot of christian imagery (saints in stained glass, her being tied to a cross, etc). I feel like maybe her parents were very strict Catholics so they don't approve of relations outside of wedlock so she has to keep her relationship with KAITO quiet. Maybe at some point her parents do find out and have a huge fight with her, or maybe even kick her out of the house, idk. KAITO doesn't really understand Miku's problems and maybe they have an argument too. Miku then get's really depressed and even fantasizes about killing KAITO. She realizes that she is now all alone, with no-one to go to (maybe even comparing herself with Jesus who was also abandoned when he was crucified and that's why a shot is shown of Cinderella at the cross, but maybe now I'm overthinking it). Anyway, in the last shot we see someone (maybe one of her parents but more likely KAITO) grabbing her hand and saving her. Happy End!

I think the apple in this PV is the symbolism for Miku's virginity. Miku is obviously a very young girl, probably just getting into her teens, who is romanced by an older guy - in this case, Kaito. When girls are just breaking into puberty, they're filled with all kinds of budding emotions and sexuality that they have no idea what to do with, and often when an attractive, older guy comes into their life they are charmed by the idea of being with them, believing that it makes them more -- cont.
This is about a girl who wants to be free from her parents decisions by having intercourse with kaito. but in the midst of her passion she goes overboard and accidentally chokes him and she feel like he may not love her anymore so she must make a choice.

This has got to be the most epic Hatsune Miku PV ever, this song is stuck in my head now XP.
So I'm pretty sure that this song can be intrepreted as a girl who is interested in her sexuality and as the song progresses she is obviously experiencing sex for the first time with someone she loves. I believe that although she is interested originally, after experiencing sex it is a much bigger and scarier world than she originally thought. The final chorus with Cinderella being eaten by wolves is comparable to the treatment of girl when they lose their virginity or become sexual (ie a slut)

@NekoBri I think the cage represents Miku having trapped herself inside her feelings. She knows that she has already left the safeguard of her parents protection behind and she thinks that she is all alone now. But the hand that comes through the cage [ I think] is Kaito. He will open a new safeguard for her, becuase even though she put him thruogh so much, he still loves her. Kaito is the good guy- the one that will help Miku through everything. Kaito is very kind to her. This is what I think.
They keep saying that Cinderella/miku got eaten by wolves in this video can someone tell me what part if video the wolves ate her

This is probably an awkward question but what does dropping the golden axe mean?
its a chinese myth that talking about a honest guy threw his old axe to the pond accidently and a person asked him if he lost the golden or silver axe, but the guy told her honestly, and the person gave him both golden and silver axe. Another guy saw it, and threw his own axe to the pond, but he lied that he threw the golden axe, so the person didnt give him back his own axe

This could be assumed due to the thorn-covered cage she is sitting in at the very end, all alone without neither Kaito or her parents, the former having long gone and the latter so thoroughly cast aside thanks to her no doubt brattish actions that she is too ashamed to slink back to them, believing they'd never take her back or that they honestly, really just don't care nor ever will.
It's a sad story, and unfortunately one that happens to many teenage girls, either due to themselves or a guy.
THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE DEEPEST VOCALOID SONGS I HAVE yET TO HEAR. some of luka's are deep, but a lot of miku's aren't this is like a first for MAJOR meaning.

You know, I don't think Kaito is the bad guy. I think he tries really hard to keep up with all her changes in heart. I think Kaito loves her so much that he has accidently got her trapped in a cage that he didn't want around her. The hand that reaches out to her in the end is [ I think] Kaito, who is still trying to help her after all that she had put him through. I don't think it's that she gets pregnant in the end- that's not what the cage represents.
I was a very sad person who'd lost their key to their little box of happiness, those older, older days.

To whoever said 'Oh, this isn't the real Miku, she's a virgin' - there's no overarching Vocaloid canon, just song/series canon; in this case, the narrator can be implied as impure. This song has always been risque even BEFORE you put the video into play.
As for the 'what is this?' A girl sings about a relationship she's having which her family doesn't approve of; she can't tell others, even her lover, who she's worried doesn't like her back; she doesn't want to be left alone, I don't think.

The "Golden Axe" portion during her shout outs to various fairy tales refers to the story The Honest Woodman. A man dropped his axe into a river, and begged the gods to help him retrieve it. Hermes comes down from the heavens and shows him a golden axe and a silver axe, asking him if either one is his, to which he responds no. Because of his honesty, he not only gets his axe back, but the golden and silver ones too. Others in the story lie and say they dropped a golden axe, and are killed.

@epikphailbot I don't know entirely. I'm sorta piecing it together from the lyrics and video, but I think it's basically this:
Miku's fallen in love with a guy, (Kaito in this case) but her parents don't approve of him. She wants to be with him, but at the same time, doesn't want to disappoint her parents, so keeps the whole thing secret, hence 'Romeo and Juliet'. However, she fears that everything'll go wrong, as it did for said characters.

@HamiKoumei I think so. In a lot of anime's and vocaloid videos, they always seem to have a 'personality' they want to be. In this case, I think Miku wants to be a princess so Kaito will be the prince and love her.
I believe the story in this is about a girl who was raised by very "traditional" parents (protective of who she sleeps with). So her parents approved of this one guy,but she wasn't sure if she liked him,let alone,ready to have sex with him. In the end,she wants him to convince her to have sex with him so he can take her away and she can be happy. And eventually,she is. :3

Kaito, like the prince from Cinderella, was only enchanted by "Cinderella's" beauty and didn't really love her. So when he realized that she was pregnant with his child, he left her. Cinderella was eaten by the bad wolf because of her sins. And since Miku lost the Golden Axe (if you read that fairy tale it is about an honest wood cutter) she admitted that she lost her honesty when she lied for love.

Huh, it could be true that she realized them too late. But I always thought of it like this: her realizing her mistakes is what causes her to be rescued, so in a way she becomes more mature. She can't be rescued without realizing them, I guess.

I....do not recall point in the song, ever, where she kills him. If he was Romeo though, he killed himself because of some circumstance where he thought she was dead.
OKAY after watching the video and reading the lyrics using my English Analysis, I think I can make a clear explanation of this song.
Miku has parents that do not approve of Kaito. She thinks Kaito loves her and she wants to run away with him. Which makes her like "Juliet." But Juliet and her Romeo died in tragedy, and Miku doesn't want that. So she decides to be Cinderella since she also has some similarities with her. Such as lying so she will be more loved.
This was very well done and the track is quite awesome in its own right too, not just because of Miku.

She quickly regrets this, and think he might grow to hate her. She feels alone, like no-one cares for her, and that, because of what she's done, something bad will happen to her. So she wants him to 'save her' before it's too late.
