I mean, they are not related in any way, they're the reflection of each other, Kagami mean mirror, ne means sound, Len is for Left while Rin is for Right, so the correct meaning is Sound that is Reflected, and after sooooo many people arguing about it, Crypton Future Media declared that there was no relationship between them, that anyone could think they were twins, or a couple. Rin & Len Kagamine are my favorite Vocaloid ever. There were made to be a duet singer set. First as lover then as twins then it was said they weren't twins nor lovers. In some songs there twins some songs there lovers. Vocaloid is like actors & it just depends on what role there in depends on what they are. Now as to what there really are decided yourself to me there AWSOME!!!
People, it is clearly stated that they are mirror images as said in their surnames. And if there are two people in the world who has the same features and surname, it doesn't mean that they're twins/related. Kagamine or kagami in Japanese means mirror or reflection they are just meant to be mirrored versions if each other. The beauty of their songs is that some of them makes them siblings and some make them lovers, it's just the cycle of the awesome kagamine vocaloids ^^
