  • A MONSTER episode covering polishing and fitting the custom shortened exhaust on a Royal Enfield Meteor 350. De-cat and deleting the middle silencer / muffler.     Patients of a saint, as I said before. Great use of number plate reflector bracket. Can’t believe how rusty/messy the cat gets. Even mine on removal was cruddy, and I polished up with carnuba.
    Hope that’s E5 you filled up with, and not supermarket rubbish…….😂
    The bikes coming togeather nicely.
    What a great happiness when she fired up. Splendisoris.❤
    Next be to fit the DNA filter and plate, that make huge difference in drive ability up through gears.

      Cheers Mark, loved your vid with Bruce! I'll keep the horrible box in a cupboard in case I need it for an MOT or something (will have to hold the back up with string!). Your bike sounded awesome on the video and will def get a DNA kit, it looked like it went really well! I've got the backrest here for you still!

    Excellent job, bike looks great. I have a 350 Meteor also so found the whole video very entertaining although i do not have your imagination or patience so my bike remains rather standard in comparison. Great job!

    Top job Glyn, exhaust looks great and some good fabrication too. You might need your skills for some sort of stop for the center stand when you take it off the stand but other than a check over with the spanner’s I reckon your about ready to roll. Well done mate 👍

    I see now why you would decat that exhaust, I don't like the decat idea but the end result is very nice, something to consider is an Emgo exhaust pipe they are inexpensive and free flowing, louder but not crazy laud after you get use to it, I did it on my 650 and my neighbors have never complained.

    you may need to make a bracket for the centre stand because when you take off the stand it will not have a stop rest on

      @@GlynOC how about the cam that hitchcocks sell? I was thinking about a fuel x and a free flow exhaust. Any thoughts? The DNA air filter I fitted in the summer made a big difference.

    Without the Cat it's illegal. it looks like a Bobber. but the tires make me think Scrambler.

    looks great what a seemly simple cheap mod, be interested to see how it runs on the road with that cat gone, its hard to tell but how close will your heal be to the heatshield,

    What's wrong with 41:26 putting a rubber end cap on the bolt? Or grinding the bolt head down? Or using a Allen head blot?

    Is there any effect or harm to the engine if we fit a silencer without a catalytic converter..?

    It sure sounds great, but how does it run now? With the catcon removed, were there any problems regarding engine performance?

      I'll be honest, I've got no idea. I only rode it a few miles before taking it apart so it could be worse, the same, or better. I need someone with a Meteor to come ride it and tell me if it's any different! 👍 nothing makes me feel it's unhappy though

      @@GlynOC, I've been contemplating to delete the catcon on my bike for a while now to get some growl from the exhaust but I saw on one UA-cam video (ua-cam.com/video/_K-L2Pl9fd4/v-deo.htmlsi=WCqPtwDEokmQttrW) that he had to put a gizmo called Fuel X Pro to counter the effect of the de-cat. Please keep me posted when you take your meteor on longer rides with this mod. I love your videos, keep them coming.

      @@GlynOC I think the DNA filter, not the de-cat, makes the bike run lean so he needed the FuelX balance it out...or maybe the combination of both? I also noticed he totally got rid of the center stand instead of adding a stopper, good weight reduction though.

      Hi Lemay, I used Autosol metal polish which is just a typical white cream metal polish and protector👍
