I purchased a brand new stella black meteor last year and have added just a few items like sump guard, leg/engine guards, small bar end mirrors and saddle bags... This is why your channel was flagged up to me originally, as I was continually looking up meteor videos.. I can tell you Glynn, your channel is my favourite in all the years I've been on UA-cam. I have really enjoyed your extremely methodical changes and explainations, and whilst I have a back ground of modding rc large scale vehicles amongst other contraptions, your easy to understand videos will no doubt encourage many others to attempt some diy projects of their own. I'm just a little peed off this is complete, as now they'll be no more 'meteor' videos to come (workshop ones). Luckily I've not watched them all from the beginning and have always fast forwarded through the ones I have watched for sheer excitement of any specific outcome of any given job and how it worked out... Thanks for the entertainment... it's been tremendous...👍👌
Thank you very much for your thoughtful comments. I'm glad people use the fast forward button, I only try and include so much because sometimes it's just the smallest detail or angle that helps someone and if they can zip forward to that then that's a good job done. Don't worry, there are plenty more videos to come and things I want to add to it that I can do whilst it's still a running bike. I've also got the wrecked Classic 350 Reborn series to start soon which will be workshop based but with a totally different stylistic approach (well, maybe haha). I can mix that in with a bit of Meteoring about 😊 I don't watch TV any more, just the UA-cam creators I like, that's where the real enjoyment is!
@GlynOC sounds stupendous! 👌 The only one thing I would have liked to have been made aware of, and maybe you have done so, which I'll spot as I work through the build from the beginning without fast forwarding, - is links to items you purchased to make the changes... I'm sure a little googling will come up trumps, but it's all time taken up.. Look forward to future videos. All the best 👍 👌
Great idea, thanks. There are some links in some of the descriptions for odd things. I find a lot of the items come and go on ebay from different sellers, but they're always there under some name or other. ebay seller Autostreek is fantastic and always delivers within the week to the UK
It's been wonderful watching you tear down and re-building this bike just the way you wanted it to be. It's a work of art, thank you. One thing I just could not get used to is the toe-heel gear lever, so I ordered a Tec Adjustable Alloy Gear Lever and Linkage and should arrive today.
@@GlynOC Wow! It is wonderful now. My left foot is happy now with the new change. I totally agree with you, it's not for everyone but am glad we have options.
The end result is great, what a fab sound coming from the J type engine, wow riding through the valleys is something else, well done Glyn for the perfect completion.
I have the same bike, albeit with a different tank color. Your videos have taught me a lot about the bike, its servicing, and how to address the niggles. I thoroughly enjoyed this video series, and I will keep revisiting them from time to time. It's also admirable how you balance a full-time job, working on bikes, and editing hour-long videos. I look forward to the videos on the Classic 350. Thanks a ton.
Thanks very much for your comments, I'm happy the videos were helpful. The editing isn't too bad, I just cut out some of the more boring bits which is saying something haha The Classic is nearly all in bits now so you'll see that on the next couple of vids or so (I think it'll take 3....)
Almost missed that. Was just about to shut down and retire. EU time. Fabulous conclusion. Yes, Meteors are lovely bikes but yours is very special. Really enjoyed the build, and it's been so useful seeing under the skin of my own Meteor. I'm quite sure we will be seeing a lot more on the road. Thanks for your detailed devotion to the project.
Thanks very much Tim, and for all your comments. I've got more things I want to add still so there'll still be little episodes for it, and all the rides oif course. Maybe not so many of those in the winter though! cheers, Glyn
Brilliant Glyn! So enjoyed your films rebuilding your Meteor to your own style and it looks great! 😁👍 Wish you many miles of smiles on your bike and look forward to your future adventures wherever it takes you 😁 These 350 J series engines are something special and have a massive following now for value for money fun biking 😁👍👍👍 Cheers Bruce
Thanks very much! I can see why you take yours all over Scotland. They're addictively ploddy. I was worried it might not be as much fun to actually ride it as build it but it doesn't disappoint at all. They really are an enjoyable biking experience. Looking forward to showing you the next one Bruce 😀
@@GlynOC OH! We're "seeing it" right now Glyn. Massive flooding around the local area, our local Sainsbury is under water! ... Oh, wait. You meant the video, didn't you.
Fantastic bike, great video and you have created an absolutely wonder. Thanks for inviting us all along on this project and hope there is more to come. Would love to know more on how that shortened exhaust performs.
Wonderful creation ! a bit of a hybrid with the bobber / scrambler tyres combo but looks really good and certainly unique ! can't wait to see what you do with the classic.👍
Well done Glynn. The bike looks, and sounds fabulous. Looks like an old British thumper! Looking forward to seeing you using it on some of those beautiful roads you have 👏
Many thanks Glynn you’ve taught me a lot and given me the confidence to try one or two mods on my Meteor, also the whole series made for compulsive viewing, very enjoyable. Looking forward to your next project 😀👍

Nice ride, that place that you rode off road! I remember over 60 yrs ago I was in a car with my father driving and my cousin who was much older than me, was in anther car behind us, they were having a bit of a race along the road there, (I have no idea of the speed, though I don't think it was fast, because it was back then and not now) when all of a sudden my cousin turned down that bit of road you were driving on, we were turning the big roads corner and we could see him come down were you went, I think it was tarmac sort of? but there was a lot of dust blown up in the air while he was driving down, my cousin just beat my dad, he got back on the main road just before he arrived honking his horn that he won? the race finished very soon after.
I know exactly where you mean, it used to be more of an obvious road bit and people would take the diversion for a bit of fun, or to race other cars 🤪 It's a lot safer now, there didn't even used to be a barrier down there until the 90's then a schoolteacher went over the edge on her way to work🥹
