Meteor, bullet and classic can keep their 350 engine, it fits the kind of bike...but the hunter really needs that new 450. It would be perfect for a bike still fit for the city but more sporty than the others.
There is a prototype roadster with 17 inch front wheel like the hunter being tested with the new liquid cooled 450cc engine from the new Himalayan.
Buddy they have announced that a new one similar to hunter will be launched next year with that 450cc engine called ‘Roadster 450’

@@ccclll987 date is not confirmed yet, the rumour is they might launch it around this time next year.
RE is planning to launch a new model every quarter till 2025, so depending upon the success of Himalayan and its engine they might launch it sooner even.

Thank you for a glimpse into a British motorcycle show. It's too bad the majority of the bikes there are not available here in the States. Heck, we don't even have motorcycle shows, at least not in the San Francisco Bay Area. Well, we used to, but I can't even remember the last one I went to. At least we have a Royal Enfield dealership here. Can't wait to see the new Himalayan 452. It might be my next bike, if the price is right. The new Triumph 400 is really nice too, but the ride height may be too high for my short legs plus I much prefer wire wheels.
Thanks for watching, Id love to ride around where you live! I sat on the 400 Scrambler and it didn't feel really tall even though I've got short legs, I'm sure it's not as high as the 452. The 452 felt good to sit on, substantial but not too big, I'd like to feel one off the stand to see if it's top heavy or awkward 👍

Love the looks of the Silver BSA Gold Star. The Black one also looks great but should have the polished engine cases. But I'll probably go for the Triumph Scrambler 400. Thanks for taking us around.

Great to see all the bikes especially the Royal Enfield stand always was my favourite. Her in Australia now and don't think there is any similar show here and if there was it would probably be in Sydney or Melbourne at least 1000 kms from the gold coast. Never mind there is great biking roads and weather to match.....you cant have everything.

Very likely! The reborn touring seat felt halfway between the two designs, but not as good as the Bullets
Hi Glyn, I really hope you try the Bullet Touring seat for fitting ASAP. I take my 2 children daily to school on my Classic and I think we would all really appreciate the bench style seat 😮.

Hi glyn I agree yours looks better and the gaiters are crap on that note where did you get your gaiters from I’ve just bought a 2023 cat n meteor and intend to copy yours that way no mistakes be grateful for a link on the gaiters to avoid any crappy ones and have you a part number for the seat bracket cheers keep up the good work
Hi Andrew, that sounds exciting, good luck with your project. The gaiters are from Hitchcocks and listed in the Meteor section, about 20 quid or so I think. Hunter original gaiters might be good too, they're a nice matt black and look the same size👍

The bigger the seat the more comfortable but not the looks.. I wish they did the Bullet (or classic) with the option of a bench seat like the Interceptor.

Some people have fitted Hunter seats to the Classic (and Meteor) to get a bit of bench going on. Have a look at that rusty Enfield on the Motorcycle Museum stand and see if there's anything left!

@@GlynOC will look into that seat...Mrs likes to go on back so need to keep a rear....tested the classic up porlock hill 2 up...as steep as 1 in 4 in places ...no probs...fab little bike....looking out for your next vid...chocs and beers ready as I know how long some can go on for.👍

That Bullet seat may be really comfy BUT it's lost the amazing visuals of the single seat that's possible with the classic 350. I'm looking forward to getting up to the NEC later this week.
Yes it does a bit, but it's sooooo comfy. I'd even have it in the living room to watch TV from 👍

For me the new Triumph 400 Scrambler was the star of the show. The Classic 350 was the most comfortable though.
It was hard to even get near the Triumphs, super popular!!

Royal Enfield has nailed the modern classic bike. If they put a better tune in the 350 engine or bored and stroked it to 500cc, it would be a no-brainer 💪🏻🙏🙏
Those two tone Aurora's are so beautiful. The orange stripe is tragic, why?
I know, as I was panning down I thought my camera had glitched, I wasn't expecting that orange stripe. I think it's meant to fit into the 'sunshine vibe' but it's not necessary. The blue is a stunner, even nicer in person if that could be so. The 17" rear rim looks fab, white walls would suit it very well!!

Just saw you on `Nathan the postman`s video from the NEC, as you were filming your video on the new Himalayan. You made your first appearance at 9:58 on his video. He is also in this this video at 10:11, just after you said `easily fix punctures`. Do you think I should get out more? 😂
No way!!! I was trying to look inconspicuous too. We should all get out more I think, on our bikes at least!! There were people sneaking about filming everywhere. If I were closer I'd go for another look 👹

Hello, that was the touring seat. I've sat on a standard one recently and it was pretty similar, but not quite as good 🤪
I prefer the real thing like my Triumph TR-6 1965 or one of my BSA C-15 250 singles. Qu ality and rebuildable forever ♾️. Rode my motorcycle to work everyday for 20 years. No electronics waiting to have an expensive failure. Beautiful ❤️ to look at . Great British motorcycles are 🆒😎 and Triumphs are the coolest of the cool 😎.
Those aren't springer forks but girder forks. Springer forks are Harley Davidson and are quite different.

Well, I had to Google 'porcine' because I'd never heard that before (piggish), it's my word of the week now and am going to try and work it into a video. You're right, all the modern bikes look packed with ugly 'stuff' 👍
It's not for me, I'm afraid. If you want to see how they (Royal Enfield) SHOULD do seats, then go look at the conversion Max has just done over at "Sunday Rides". Comfortable and meaningful. Gone are the days when I am going to make a decision on the comfort level of a seat until I have ridden 100 miles. Then I will know for sure. As for the Rebel 500. That's the seat I have on mine and it's a damned torture device. My backside is screaming for forgiveness after 35 miles. Just awful.
Excellent point, maybe they'll end up traded on ebay from people who don't get on with them like the other touring seats. At least you don't lose much doing that. That Rebel seat was tiny, about big enough for my cat! No wonder you don't enjoy it, have you replaced it?
@@GlynOC Infact, it was one of the first things I did. But what you see in your video is not the factory seat. That is the tan version of the "Honda Special Main Seat" and I can tell you that the pain in your arse is definitely "Special". Almost every other replacement seat is coming from the US and is silly money. Plus you will get hit with extra import tax charges so it's just not worth it. I have located a fairly local motorcycle seat upholsterer and may well try use him to get this reshaped and padded. I would rather give this money to a local vendor in any case. It's not helped by the rear shocks.
ahh right, no wonder you got rid of that then. I bet you need really smooth roads for that, not our pothole infested ones, that could be really painful🚑
