Oceania got its start by buying the R Class ships from the creditors of the insolvent Renaissance Cruises whose chairman was also Oceania's founder. They paid $130 million for the ships which costed almost 3 times that to build about 5 years prior in nearly mint condition. Putting $100M into these vessels is relatively speaking a big deal.
Sailed on Insignia several years ago in the Western Caribbean and am booked to go to Cuba in July. Can't wait to see the reimagined Insignia!
So excited! Looks beautiful. Just booked for July, Cuban itinerary. We've been on the Adonia twice and love the size of this class ship.
Very good and very good I am very happy
