- I take you to some of the world’s most exclusive 3 Michelin-star restaurants.
Today, we are off to the Lombardy region of Italy, to a restaurant called Da Vittorio.
They offered the seasonal white truffle menu, (white truffle is the most expensive ingredient in the world) where everything is built around this single ingredient.
This 3 Michelin star restaurant is the perfect example of a welcoming, family-run affair. Elegant without being stuffy and sumptuous without being cold, the restaurant offers its guests a warm and spontaneously friendly welcome.

The fact that the owners are actually on the floor doing the serving tells a lot. They ain’t in it for the money. They’re doing it because they believe it’s their destiny. Mad respect.
Big cap. Of course they do it for the money.
Yea sure... you have an helipad because you care about food above all uh...
@@arminkaiser8933they don't need to be at the tables, there is the waiting staff for that. But they do it regularly, that's the point
@@arminkaiser8933 Any business rely on money for operations, what're you on about
@@arminkaiser8933 i mean, who tf works for free?
When Italians bring out the class it's unmatched. Nobody does homegrown/traditional family vibes quite like them.
Having watched your previous two videos and as a University student lacking both the time and money to experience the restaurants you have documented so far, I am simply blown away by the tangibility of your analyses and feel as though I've been able to personally sense locations that I've otherwise only been able to read about. I'm thankful for this opportunity and craving of more videos. Regards from Sweden.
If you find the means some day, try at least a Michelin "Bib Gourmand" if you live in a big city. Its a specific category for exceptionally good price/quality ratio. Of course it highly depends on the city you live in, but i highly recomend it to you, and its not gonna ruin you during a special occasion
Can’t stop watching these videos. Level of professionalism blows me away
Great video, you're improving rapidly. I love the additional time explaining all of the dishes, and you could do even more still. I do have to say though I'd greatly prefer videos to cover a standard menu rather than a special event menu so that I could use your videos to plan my own visits. I think this will also give your videos more lasting power.
Thank you!
For most 3 star restaurants, the degustation menu or the tasting menu are the way it is meant to be experienced.
This channel will soar! Your professionalism both personally as well as with regard to production are right at the very top standard of videos I have seen on UA-cam. Looking forward to the next one!
Easy way to visit Michelin restaurants as a business expense 😂 Great work I just binged all your videos
Brilliant right
Does Alexander even pay the bill? Or is making the video / advertisement part of the deal to get a free (or reduced price) meal...? Because either Alexander has a lot of money to spend and his videos are made for our entertainment only, or it's part of a win-win. I'm fine with whatever, just curious.
@@l.d.t.6327 I've seen only one place give a discount (like 1500 euro on a 9500 euro lunch lol). He's quite wealthy.
Dear Alexander thank you for doing this kind of videos and sharing this amazing art, this videos are amazing to spend time on, 100% worth it.
Hoping to see more on the future!
You perfectly described the place and the emotions that this place gives to the customers through the video...great food, traditions and feel comfortable...bravo
This place is now on my bucket list Beautiful!!
Thank you so much I just discovered your channel and I am loving it!!
Really feel as though I've stumbled across a popular channel just before everyone catches on- congrats on the great video and I'm excited for more to come!
Bravissimo Alessandro! Con garbo e gentilezza hai spiegato benissimo l'eccelenza della cucina italiana! Ti faccio i miei complimenti e mi sono appena iscritto al canale!!!! Non vedo l'ora che pubblichi ulteriori video!!!!
Amazing quality. I'll definitely be looking forward to each video from now on.
Amazing, I love this insight into these amazing restaurants. I am putting some of them on my list of places to visit.
Great video
I love Italy and visited many times but your video gave me a much higher perception.
Thank you
As a person/chef who work in this F&B industry, really appreciate to see these kind of videos on UA-cam. I really love every details you mentioned. Can't wait to see more of this experiences! Do come Singapore to review! Thank you for the awesome content!
This channel is going to blow up and I love it because you deserve it and are working hard to bring this level of insight into the fine dining experience I love it ❤keep up the great work ✌🏼
it isn't going to blow up and that's a good thing.
Amazing new channel, so glad I found this! Hope you keep making these videos!
Thank you for mentioning the history. My Dad was a regular at Vittorio's in Bergamo. Great to see quality succeeding!
I discovered your channel two days ago and have been devouring all of your videos. Thank you for taking us on this incredible journey, I find it really inspiring for my own relationship with fine cuisine. I felt compelled to comment on this video, though, because it was the first I have seen where you included ad-lib commentary during the meal! There is something special about getting to hear you in the moment enjoying the food completely unscripted.
Thank you so much again, Alexander, I look forward to seeing more!
Recently discovered this channel and I’m enjoying it so much. Also give me a lot of inspiration and things to emulate/learn from for my own videos. Bravo!
This channel is fascinating. Thank you. 😊
I come from a small town not far from Brusaporto and I could never afford a “da Vittorio” experience but thank you for reminding me of the beautiful place of the world I come from, I will go back to visit family in June after almost 5 years and I’m so excited 🤩
Thank you for the video! Sometimes youtube recommendations really work well. Wish your channel a fast grow!
Watching all of video in this channel, so Amazing, Sharp and Clear.
Greatings from Bali, Indonesia.
Crazy production quality. Well done, place looks dreamy.
Absolutely incredible videos, I feel blessed to have found your channel. Wow.
This restaurant is definitely the best three Mıchelin star restaurant in İtaly.Absolutely incredible!
One of the best in the world, for sure. Beautiful location, amazing food, flawless service...I can only think of a handful that could even rival it.
Great episode, Alexander!
Great video, straight to subscibe. Cannot wait another video.
Have binged so many of these videos in the last week, absolutely love the content and honesty in your reviews!
I really appreciate you have done this yourself, respect to you.
Hahaha I have never seen so much white truffle in my life...looks lovely. Very much my sort of food, traditional cuisine refined to a laser point.
hey alexander, i really like your videos! I’m very impressed by your knowledge about the different restaurants your visiting (especially the one in florence) but also your attention to detail, for example on your final thoughts in this video where the beat matches the next point perfectly.
I have two questions? Firstly will you come to Switzerland one day? Your opinion on the three star restaurant would interest me very much. Secondly could you make a Video about your own Restaurant? This would be very interesting as well.
Very good quality channel. More please!
Love this channel already.
This channel is dangerously bingeable. Keep it up Alexander 😄
I'm getting hooked on your videos.
Yeah, I hate it when I'm forced to drink Dom Perignon. ;-) Seriously, nice work Alexander! I'm grateful for your channel.
im a new subscriber man, keep this up, high production!
Great video, great content, quality stuff. One thing: you didn’t mention their one Michelin starred restaurant in Paris, which is called “Il Carpaccio”.
Anyway I can feel you passion in what you do.
Thanks again
i love your channel man.
It took me like 5 videos to realize that your restaurant is the 42 Restaurant in Esztergom. It is so nice to see such quality content from a Hungarian channel. Keep up the great work!
As a student studying culinary this is very helpful you can get some inspiration to his videos and all the wonderful restaurants in the world
"the even the customers" in the got me laughing out loud! haha again, good script great editing super relaxing video
This is what I picture when I think of a 3 star restaurant (that I would like to go to). The more relaxed atmosphere of the Noma styled places look amazing, but spending over $1K on a meal is something I may ending up doing only a handful of times. I'm curious how many grams of white truffle this meal totaled (10g/course? I've had them at home several times but never weighed as we went). It's great to get perspective from a capable restaurateur. Only 3 videos out and already this is one of my favorite channels!
Immediately subbed
Dear Alexander, fantastic videos and very professional. Have you ever tried Kong Hans in Copenhagen? My favorit restaurant here in DK, but it has “only” Two stars 👌 It is really good!!!
love it !
I would love to go, but would go for the ‘normal’
menu and pray there is one white truffel dish. But I love the family vibe and combination of tradition and the new. My nr 1. dream was Francescana, but I would be scared of being placed in a windowless room 😅
Awesome channel
This is truly an expirience. The amount of love, detail and dedication they put into this family is business is mind blowing.
Shed a tear at the end, this is art of dining.
The best looking restaurant i have ever seen
I love that you tell us the cost. A lot of people won’t divulge that information. You give honest reviews and your videos are very well edited and shot. Nice job. One question remains. How are you affording eating out like this all the time? It’s got to take a toll on your bank account.
Thank you so much for all your videos, Alexander. I just discovered you this weekend...
Surprised to hear, that you're not a Dom Perignon fan. May I ask: What is you go-to Champaign maison??
Very impressive.
Nanoportion of simple nanoproducts for gigamoney. The great deception of new age
i really thought the dinning might take place outside with tradition italian architecture .
the inner dinning is very white-ish , but it pair with white truffle very much .
great video so far . thanks a lot .
I sense I'm going to enjoy this channel a lot ...
The best restaurant critic out there
I’m really enjoying your videos as they provide educated, honest, insight into restaurants many of us will never be able to visit. This place looked amazing but I can’t get onboard with heaping truffle over all of the dishes. I get that it’s a premium, luxury product but doesn’t it just make everything taste like truffle?
I had a thin slice of Italian truffle years ago. The aroma and taste are unique and unforgettable.
It's a couple of years of very dry summers in Italy, so very few mushrooms and truffles in autumn.
I guess at least 300€ out of those 420€ was to cover raw materials expenses.
Great video, Da Vittorio added to the bucket list, though not sure would be having the White Truffle menu, one on cost, and Too much of a good thing can eventually feel like overkill, a whole menu of Truffles is probably just a Truffle too far.
Gratulálok szuper a csatorna és úgy leszel globális influencer ezzel, hogy jót és jól csinálsz és by the way sikk lesz eljönni ezek után Esztergomba is. Le a kalappal!
Köszönöm!
Welcome to Italy 😊
This one definitely stands out to me, even for a 3* Michelin…
Your channel will take off fast. Excellent subject material, excellent speaker and amazing production quality. You'll be counting your subscribers in the millions soon enough
Nice
wath a menu' whaaaa!!
This one reminded me of movie the Menu
Dream place
Eating everything everything everything. Milk, Sugar, etc etc. Healthy food looks different. Nothing for me, but nice to see and great produced little episodes:-)
What model of camera do you use for this video? Thank you a lot
please make them all and follow up with 2 and 1 star restaurants as we;ll
I really don’t understand the truffle craze. I upgraded to the truffle experience at 3 Michelin star Addison in California, and as delicious as the meal was, the truffle just ended up being a distraction. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy truffle, but having it on every dish just overpowers the other flavors and makes the dishes taste too similar and boring.
Keep up the great work with your videos!
Thank you very much. I am not a huge fan of black truffle. (I just checked their Instagram profile) Maybe you had the black one. The white is more an aromatic ingredient. Something really light, airy, beautiful touch - for me. Unfortunately It's not available on a daily basis. On the other hand the white truffle comes from the nearby regions, it was it’s season. It is part of their culture. Maybe that's why the dishes are more balanced here then what you experienced. Sometimes I had the same feeling, they just add black truffle, for no reason just for show off.
We have booked Lido and La Calandra. Have you been to either and would you recommend either?
What month did u go for this? We’re going in October and hoping itd be truffle season
you like very much luxury. luxury is very important. luxury is good and everybody should deserve luxury. luxury for everybody
I've never tried Truffles but are they that good that they are garnished on every plate?
I have one complaint please make longer videos.
Beautiful video! What would you say is the most noticeable difference between white and black truffle?
there's the same difference between pork and beef
I don’t like truffle personally and think that it doesn’t fit to every dish, but if combined perfectly, it could fit quite good i guess, I just found your UA-cam channel and looked up the videos in a row.
It looks like a beautiful restaurant and that you will enjoy it.
I personally didn’t like the napkin, it was wrong fold and this should not be okay in a 3 star restaurant
The Cerea brothers took over the restaurant in the city of Poreč in Istria, it looks professional and luxurious. The michelin guide for 2024 in Croatia is coming out soon and they are candidates for 1 star!
"Would you like some White Truffle with your... white truffle." 🤣
hehe funny number i like this restaurant
You have such a difficult job 😊
They just coat everything with truffle there?
I'm curious if these places have a separate menu in the local language. Or is English the default language?
i live in bergamo near DaVittorio. Offcourse the default language is in italian
5:45 in the background. Whats going on there?
I love your channel! Will you come to the UK to check out our fantastic restaurants too?
lol everything has truffle in it, it's like a comedy
To be fair, 3 stars with all that truffle for 420, not so bad. I have only had the pleasure of visiting La Pergola in Italy for 3 stars, but it is my favourite restaurant to date. I would love to know your thoughts on it if you get the opportunity to visit?
when I worked at La Pergola from 2013-2016 we did the 7-course tasting menu based on Alba white truffles for 800 euros, so 420 is not a bad price
A ferris wheel?
He’s eaten a lot of top food.
Having watched all of your videos I would appreciate a bit more of criticism. Personally , I rarely get wowed by restaurants above one michelin star.
Thanks for the vid. looks cosy, nice, but boring!
You can tell the owner to re-type the menu.
Its "eight" different combinations made fresh daily.
tut tut
Feel like if there wouldn’t be no truffle, they would not know what to serve 😃
5:55 Yo, what was that guy doing?
