I had a cambelt and waterpump done at an Alfa dealership, on my Mito, and they had to refit the water pump because it leaked before they'd handed it back - had to wait 24hours for them to fit check and test. Genuine parts, obviously.
I really feel for you trying to make a living when this is the sort of thing you are up against. I fitted a new Genuine cambelt kit with waterpump pump to our Diesel Giulietta 2 years ago, and the pump has leaked slightly ever since. I have also had a failed genuine strut top bearing after only 20,000 miles, and an LUK clutch where the release fingers broke due to poor quality metal. It is bad enough for me as a DIY'er. It really is a minefield and often the rubbish parts are the only ones available.

Parts are junk these days. A quality product will always have a manufacturers stamp ! I use a local, well established motor factor who, have a reputation to uphold. If possible I avoid anything made in PRC!!!! You could have a chat with your local engine rebuilder to see who's timming kits they use. Hope this helps 👍.
I’ve bought for my car skf kit without water pump The belt is made in UK All bearings including tensioner made in France Water pump got it separate HEPU made in Germany, has even aluminium rotor I’m from Romania 🇷🇴 I hope it last The kit in the car was genuine Audi (contitech belt and ina bearings) After 9 years and 110.000 km was just perfect Only the arrow in the tensioner slightly under the mark Bought for my wife bmw 118d skf water pump and is made in china I hope it last I bought skf aux belt tensioner and is made in china with slightly play in the bearing Quality it’s going downhill everywhere

Horrible! Car parts are a pure lottery these days. I also had a failed SKF water pump for my Alfa GT JTD after only about 20k miles. I went with INA but made in Germany which should be good. Dayco also should be good for Alfas, especially their the HT belts (stronger Kevlar reinforced).

When buying bearings ask for skf Italy, a bit more expensive but worth it

I always buy parts by sorting them by price - highest first.

Just use dayco kit. Made in japan.
Fiat oem parts are cheap crap from cina at major price. Like almost every manufacturers now..
Too many parts are made in China nowadays. even name brands are made in China. Don't expect quality.
