Alvin Lee taught me how to play guitar. You listen you copy and figure the rest out yourself. Saw him several times. Fillmore West Winterland, Stockton Polo Grounds , Memorial Auditorium. Always a great time. Leo Lyons Chick Churchill and Rick Lee were great.
That Frankfort album, Recorded Live 1973, was spun hundreds of times in my life. It's great. Once I heard "Slow Blues in C" and "Since I've Been Loving You, I knew I was a blues fan. Thanks for the video. I got to whip out my guitar now and play along.
Love me some Alvin Lee. Thanks for posting this. I recommend Pure Blues for a good mix of the blues side of A.L. The song Bluest Blues is a killer with his long time friend George Harrison doing a perfect slide guitar bit.
Another great lesson of a great but often forgotten tune. I LOVE some of the old black and white videos of live shows with the band. The bass player has an identical style of playing as Angus Young of AC DC!! Ha
Elvin Lee is the reason I play lead guitar today. Love his tone. Thanks Jimmy Jam, you the Man. I have the album your talking about and the lead and bass solo together is fabulous 👌 👏 👍 🙏
You've nailed Alvin Lees tone-particularly when you do the riff on the 12th fret-no doubt "I'm Going Home " will be on the agenda at some point. And get a few decals for the guitar for the full effect! Saw him on one of his last tours before he tragically passed-he was as good as ever-sadly missed
Killer Blues Tune! I love the original but must say Johnny Langs is my favorite cover! It's actually a mildly disturbing song when you think about the lyrics 🤣definitely different times, imagine if a top 40 artist today dropped a song about their affinity for "Schoolgirls"

Yeah! Great album! More Ten Years After!
Completely agree!
I don't know what's more impressive. Your guitar collection or your teeshirt collection. Great videos man.
Now this brings me back to my high school days driving my Cutless blasting Alvin Lee while peeling out of the parking lot.
It is the right colour, but you need the peace sign decal.
I sure do miss you and I hope you and your wife are both well.
"Once there was a time" we listened to A Space In Time on my buddies TT. Great memories!
Paul Rodgers does a fantastic version on Muddy Water Blues. I believe Jeff Beck plays on that track.
the tone is exact!

Slow Blues in C is a fantastic piece!
Brilliant slow blues. I can’t keep my eyes from crying as well 👍
Alvin Lee, once the fastest guitar play in the East!
From my list when I was 16, 17. If you do some Uriah heep, it'll be all over.

This is an Amazing Rock Classic!

Saw Alvin Lee 2 or 3 times once with Mick Taylor in the 80s. The man who plays the never ending solo, good shows.
You had me at Ten Years After. Thanks!

Brilliant mate. Saw them at Alexander Palace London around 1974 ish. What a band 👍
Tens Years After was awesome in their day..
Nice!! thanks for posting, Alvin Lee one of my favorite guitarists. When you get props from Hendrix you gotta be good.
Always loved this version. Knew it a little, but this gave me all the things I was missing (and doing wrong, lol!) Thanks so much for this!
Still one of my favorite albums...The live Frankfurt Album.
