DeeRC Z62 Amphibious RC Float Plane Unboxing and Maiden Flights

In this video I open my new DeeRC Z62 Amphibious RC Float Plane. Followed by it's maiden flights and lake takeoff and landings. I have to say that this has quickly gone possibly to #1 on my favorite RC plane list. Especially when taking into consideration it's ability to takeoff and land on water or land, and the $70 ($56 on sale) price tag which I feel like is a great price.

I also found the same plane but not nearly as cool because it doesn't have the DeeRC branding lol but a bit less expensive, has 3 batteries, and 2 color options (also longer shipping at least for me) on Banggood here

Thanks!!👍 I have been on a search for an inexpensive RC plane that will actually take off and land on water. Search over I hope. LoL. These little 2 channel style planes are soo easy to fly it takes a lot of the stress out of flying. Somehow relaxing for me haha. I did learn the hard way not to fly them in much wind, especially if there are trees nearby 😂🤣. Magnificent location! I have the model and like it but have yet to fly it off water. I am a Mode 1 flyer and I struggle with the tiny Mode 2 transmitter the model comes with. But I now have the model’s
protocols for my open source transmitter so I’m looking forward to smoother flights.

Nice video, nice place! Wild, no **** around! I also have it... Can't wait to try it on a lake. If I can suggest : avoid asphalt take off or landing to prolonging the bottom surface

Thanks for watching. Such a cool plane. Especially for the price. I agree that the asphalt take off/landing is probably not the best for it. Still pretty cool that it's capable of doing it though. Definitely fun on the lake! 🙂🤘👍

I have one of these they are great. But if you crash it the propeller pops off, and I have no idea where to get replacements. Lost 3 props, now what?

I have not lost any props yet. I imagine you could use a prop from a different plane as long as it's the same size and direction. I will try to look into it. (No promises though heh🙂)

Yes, the remote will start beeping, and 15-20 seconds later the plane will go to half power.

Absolutely. I have even taken off and landed it in puddles at the park after a rain. 🙂👍
