You can control it like a boat when it's upside down, it's pretty slow but I manage to get my back to shore all the time. Put it on 1/2 throttle and steer like normal.
Yeah I know but there was no way it was going to move like a boat in that wind and those waves. It was too windy that day and I shouldn't have flown it
@@RDsRCReviews 162 / 5.000 My dear sailor, it's only a small pond, isn't it? I would have welcomed this wonderful bird on the opposite bank, where the wind would have carried it. Nevertheless, you showed what wind this toy plane can endure and whatwind you shall avoid - thank you, great job 💪🤠👍
I doubt you can turn them around Because I’m pretty sure the motor shaft holes are only open on one side in the prop but maybe you got them on the wrong side because each side is a mirrored pitch
@@BriannaBeastMode no the props were correct. There's just no way it can drive back upside down in the water with the wind and waves blowing it away from me. It's too lightweight.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it says in the manual, I seen it say it even on the website that you can go slow while it’s upside down to retrieve it. I get that it was windy, but I almost bet it would have still made it back. Especially because it would be a cross wind and not directly blowing against it head on.
@@adamgallahan6747 zero chance it was going to come back driving it like a boat into the waves. The wind was blowing against the direction I needed it to drive back against.
It is a lot of fun but just be careful not to fly it when there's any wind or else you run the risk of it flipping over on the water like what happened to me.
Did you end up recovering it? I lost a quad copter in a tangle of branches once. Those guards on the ends of the arms, near the propellers... they really should be called tree hangers or something.
Unfortunately no, the people in the canoes ignored my request to retrieve it. I know they heard me and they had to have seen the plane in the water. I yelled to them and they ignored me. It was very unusual because most people in my town are very friendly. It's possible it was a couple from out of town. They were making their way back to shore too. I thought about waiting until they got closer and asking again but the fact they were ignoring me made me want to avoid talking to them once they were close enough that they couldn't ignore me anymore. Oh yes, I always call prop guards "tree hangers" in my videos because that's what they seem to be best for when used outdoors lol. Thanks for watching!!
Did it stop responding once it landed upside down or did you just stop trying to control it cause om amazon for this it says that if it flips upside down you can still drive it back to you was considering getting this but now idk lol
It wouldn't respond at all. I don't see how it would be possible to flip it back over because the props are in the water some. There's no mention of this in the instructions. I suppose it might be possible to drive it but I couldn't see it was doing anything when I pressed the throttle. I don't think it could have overcome the small waves while upside down. It seemed as if it was doing nothing upside down
@@adamgallahan6747 but it doesn't work well especially when you are trying to drive it into choppy water. It might work on very calm water but no way it will work in choppy water.

These things are wicked cool Ryan. Recently saw Quadcopter 101 testing 2 different brands of these that he got . Both of them worked really well. This one you have flies just as nice! Interesting design and it seemed to fly well even fighting the wind. Suck it flipped and you were not able to rescue it! Find a rescue fishing pole next time!

DEERC tech support is stumped...😢
Try reversing the installation direction of the props. It shouldn't be too difficult

Its a shame it flipped in the water at the end, looked like a decent little flyer considering the wind at times.
