@@erickthomas325 Hard Habit to Break The end of Hard to Say I'm Sorry really tears me out of the song, but some people like it. The rest of the song is great. Also: Their Christmas album, Chicago 25 is interesting.
This was sung by Peter Cetera, lead singer of Chicago after he went out on his own. Love Chicago and Peter Cetera on his own. His voice is unmistakably beautiful!! ❤️🎵
It's good pop, and "If You Leave Me Now" is even better with Cetera as lead vocal - but old school Chicago fans will always prefer their earlier stuff, with that amazing brass section front and center.
Really old school Chicago fans view Terry Kath (guitar) as being front and center, not the brass/woodwinds section. Not only was he an amazing yet unsung guitarist, he was also a great singer, songwriter, and bandleader. But don't take my word for it! Watch their show at Tanglewood, 21 July 1970 -- an official video is available on UA-cam. The opening number, "Introduction," was written and sung by Kath. His abilities as a guitarist are put on display during "25 or 6 to 4," and his range of vocal abilities is probably best represented on the "Make Me Smile" suite (which includes "Colour My World."
This takes me back to my childhood in the early mid 80s especially this song right here 1984''. And thinking back on music i grew up on listening to in the 80s i always have vivid memories about where i was when i heard songs like this for the 1st time when they 1st came out back in the 80s🎶😎😎😎
Just brought my HS days back to me. I miss the love of my life from that time. Always will be my first and most special ❤️ love. Being a teenager in the early ‘80s was the best
Patricia Barkley I found mine again after 34 years two years ago and ours was the same deal. Timing. So many regrets. Always love him and he knows it. Both of us married to other people. 😢 I really believe real love is not like a light switch, it just doesn’t turn off if it’s real. It was and always will be the real thing 💜 He says the feelings are there for me too. We’ve promised to stay in touch and never lose touch again and we talk often but it still hurts
The 4 dislikes are probably the ones that insist this era of Chicago sucks 😂 People are entitled to their opinions of course, if you prefer their older music there's nothing wrong with that but that doesn't mean their later stuff was all bad. Yes I grew up during the time when Chicago was doing this type of music so it's very nostalgic for me, but I also grew up hearing stuff from every era, genre, etc before this. I happen to like Hard To Say I'm Sorry just as much as Saturday In The Park and vice versa! Regardless of which Chicago you prefer, we can ALL agree that there's nobody like them today and that younger generations need to know that there was amazing music around long before they were even thought of!
This song is the TRUE meaning of love. Since I was so much into the 80's music .... my husband and I chose this song to play for our first dance as newlyweds. I just couldn't find a better song to describe how I much I love my husband and how much he means to me. Today makes our 10th wedding anniversary and our love is just as strong as the first day we fell in love ❤❤❤
I love seeing your reactions! It brings a smile to my face in these current crazy times! Music is my safe haven at the moment. Keep up the great work 💕
Love your reactions. Gotta do some original Chicago Transit Authority when Terry Kath was alive, one of the all time great guitarists. 60’s-70’s Chicago was much different from 80’s Chicago. Try “Beginnings”, “Make Me Smile”, “25 or 6 to 4” or “Feeling Stronger Every Day”. You won’t be sorry
"You've Got a Friend" "How Sweet it Is (to be loved by you)" "Your Smiling Face" "Fire and Rain" "If I Keep My Heart Out of Sight" All of them by James Taylor 🤘👌
This was our first dance at our wedding !!! We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in August 2019 ! Thank you for helping to relive the memory again xx
Enyotta Watkins It was really fun, doing all the harmonies and having different parts of the choir answering each other. I wish I would have appreciated it even more back then.
You would absolutely love Peter Cetera featuring Az Yet with “Hard To Say I’m Sorry”, you will not be disappointed. That specific version is a just a tad different from the original when Peter was still with Chicago but performed beautifully.
I forgot this wonderful band and now I can go and rediscover them all over again thanks to you and your subscribers. It's a great gift to someone who has forgotten so much. Bless you all. Take care and stay safe please everyone Mary-Ellen UK
While Blood Sweat and Tears were always my favorite group, Chicago was a close second. My husband and I saved pennies to be able to afford every album by both groups when we were in college. Saw both groups in concert many, many times. Love this music!
You kept saying that you’ve heard this hook before but can’t think of where. Have you seen ‘Deadpool’? Near the end, after he pulls the knife out of his head, he’s laying on the ground with Vanessa, just staring at her as a psychotropic vision plays out with this song playing over everything.
Just a few Chicago tunes you MUST hear… ✌🏼😎👍🏼 "Just You And Me" "Saturday In The Park" "Dialogue pt. 1 and pt. 2" "What's The World Comin' To" "Question 67 And 68"
This is new Chicago. Old Chicago will ring your bell! 25 or 6 to 4, Saturday in the Park... You got four maybe five albums before this one. (Four I think. I'll have to go look, I have them all with the exception of the Chocolat album which is...meh.)
I was raised in a strict house , we weren't allowed to listen to music on the radio, but I was allowed to be in the band at school, and I loved it, we played a song in high school called "25 or 6 to 4" later I found out who Chicago was, and that this was their song, it's my favorite.
Recorded right before Peter Cetera left Chicago... This was recorded 1984, and he embarked on his solo career in 1985. I'm hoping to sing this to my fiancee, but Cetera's range is stupid high in the tenor range, and I sing baritone, so.... Yeah, got some work to do.

I could try and gather thousands from all over the world- to find his voice. Flat out wont happen! UNIQUE & DISTINCT. Among the 3 best tenors of Rock & Ballads. Check out CHICAGO 17 J!
I am smiling watching you and groaning at the video.lol. When this came out there were no canned videos like this. Just live performances via concerts and albums and the disc jockey on the air. Peter Cetera vocals and the band. Match in heaven..
Well actually they were Chicago Transit Authority, till they were made to change their name to Chicago by the way of a lawsuit filed by the Chicago Transit Authority in Chicago
Chicago has had several lead singers, but Peter Cetera's my favourite of them...such a distinctive sound, and then their harmonies behind him...Peter had a substantial solo career after leaving Chicago, too. There's a live concert recording of his featuring an entire symphony orchestra that's really impressive...
I grew up since '67 and I got rhythm by the time I was 6 months old. I like it LOUD! I've always loved Chicago! Sang every single song with a hairbrush until i got a play mic! You should just have jam sessions of nothing but their amazing work!

This video doesn't have enough views for how great the song is! I bet most of his subscribers are probably young. The music today is listened to because of the beat. The music of yesterday spoke to your soul
You gotta hear "25 or 6 to 4," for sure, from their earlier stuff. "If you leave me now" is newer and a real tear jerker. And definitely hear "Saturday in the Park" from their early stuff. Brilliant.
@Jayvee ... I always wonder how you can so openly appreciate so-called "white" music, vs. "black" music. I'm not trying to be a crazy-white-gal ... but so many of my friends who are not "white" (be they Hispanic or African or Asian or whatever) just totally dismiss music that is produced or played by or sung by "some white boys". Perhaps I'm missing something, but I just really and totally wish to understand. Thanks!
Easy, he's not a racist, unlike your so-called friends. Don't fall into that sad road. Doesn't mater how you look, where you from, what gender you identify as etc etc, no one cares. Music is an universal language, music is transcendent heck even animals like music. Music makes you feelings tingly no mater who you are.
Peter Cetera sings lead on this song. He also cut some solo music that is also awesome. Someone mentioned "The Glory of Love" from the "Karate Kid" Soundtrack. Sheer perfection. You might also check out: "25 or 6 to 4" and "If You Leave Me Now". As someone also mentioned, with Chicago, you can't go wrong.
No more tears, Ozzy That's how much I feel, Ambrosia Long long time, Linda ronstadt Live to tell, Madonna (and watch At Close Range, a true story) Time after time, Cindy Lauper Baby comeback, Players Mama I'm coming home, Ozzy Reminiscing, little river band She's gone, Hall and oats Islands in the stream Summer breeze Sailing, Christpher cross Babe, Styx She's like the wind, Patrick Swayze (yes him, it's not amazing but it's worth hearing once at least)
Smooth, yeah, sort of like Cheez Whiz. You NEED to check out "I'm a Man" from their first album ("Chicago Transit Authority") -- or anything from their first album, for that matter; "Poem 58" is another good choice as is "Introduction." Also, their live performance at Tanglewood on 21 July 1970 is legendary. You already reacted to the studio version of "25 or 6 to 4," but you really have to watch Terry Kath (guitar, RIP) light on fire during the Tanglewood performance of this song.
The two recommended songs that showed up at the end of his screen were I Want to Know what Love Is by Foreigner and Dont let me Down by the Beatles. He should react to those too
You can never go wrong with Chicago, or telling people that you love how much you feel about them. ❤️👍🏼

Peter Cetera the lead singer had a solo called Glory of love and its awesome

If you leave me now, big hit from Chicago and a beautiful song.

Definitely the older stuff. 25 & 624!
I like the older stuff but this song and Will You Still Love Me and stuff from around that time is what I think of first.
To think there are generations that don't know about all this great music. Keep up the great work. 🙌
I love this song!! Brings back so many memories of the 80's.💗💗💗
Glory of Love - peter"s best song. From the Karate Kid 2 soundtrack.
Otter great song
one of my all time favorites, gorgeous song!
Used this song in cobra kai.
My sons favourite Chicago song, he was always playing their Greatest Hits LP as a child, can't fault his taste (gets it from his mum)
Power ballad perfection! 💞

This is from 1985's Chicago 17, which also contains the hits "Stay The Night" and "Along Comes A Woman".
I love Stay the Night is very good video Peter Cetera goes threw hell in this video.
A true 80's classic right here my friends.
Excellent song. I saw them in concert and they were great. I wasn’t so much of a fan until then. They are amazing. ❤️🌹❤️

70's Chicago music was the best!

Chicago has a Song with the Beach Boys called "Wishing You Were Here".It is absolutely beautiful.
If you were diggin' the Bee Gees and also this Chicago track--you need to check out Chicago's "Hard to Say I'm Sorry"
This was my wedding dance song in 2000! Miss ya Big G xxx
For sure the older Chicago is completely different than the newer Chicago... It's all good but the early stuff is just classic

Another one with Peter Cetera's vocals is Just You And Me!!
This is in the 80s. Past their peak as a tighter edgier group. This is more POPpy
What a voice ❤❤❤🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽❤❤❤
Again u brought me back to my youth... this was a major hit back in the 1980's.
Oh yea
PETER CETERA has an amazing voice ..and his range id flawless !!
Chicago was a great band. This was a great song. You should listen to their song If you leave me now. The lyrics and music are beautiful.
You should listen to songs by survivor. Anything from Rocky IV. Also “the search is over”
I am smiling watching you and groaning at the video.lol. When this came out there were no canned videos like this. Just live performances via concerts and albums and the disc jockey on the air. Peter Cetera vocals and the band. Match in heaven..
SO MUCH GREAT MUSIC!
Songs like this one would sometimes play on an intercom before a drive-in movie would start.
This was my Jr. Prom song in 1985, good memories.
No denying that voice.
Well actually they were Chicago Transit Authority, till they were made to change their name to Chicago by the way of a lawsuit filed by the Chicago Transit Authority in Chicago
This is mine & hubby’s ‘song’. We just celebrated our 35th anniversary on June 1st.

🎶💜❤🎤🎧🎸🎵🎹🎻🎺🎷🎸 from " Chicag💚" . ☝🙏🙌 Be Blessed.
Very, Very overlooked but "Along comes a woman" one of my favorite of theirs
