Hey guys I did some modifications to my Corsair 280x Micro ATX and now the thermals and performance is wayyy better. Let me know if I should make a updated benchmark video. While gaming or under heavy load now the GPU sits at around 57 degrees and my CPU sits at 70 degrees I used washers and raised the glass panels and used 3M rubber feet on the bottom of the case to elevate it from the desk. If you have a Corsair 280x I would definitely make these modifications. Since the case has glass panels and basically no where for air to easily get in.
I have this exact same case, I would love to see the mods you did. I raised the glass panel with standoffs but the feet I used are super ugly. Build looks amazing man. It's what I want my build to look like. Can't wait for them to release these cards to regular mortals.
Hey Shev, I had the same issue as well. One mod I did was to order a replacement front panel (honeycombed 3mm thick plexi glass) from ColdZero. It helped my ML140 fans a lot and its also not that loud anymore.
The ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3080 White is flawless when comes to performance. RGB and the white is a killer combo. NO overheating issue with hours of gaming. Im lucky i had a chance to grab one these before they sold all out. ASUS always is top notch in graphic sector
Sick card, managed to snag one too. Although I paid retail at CC. I'm still waiting on my cpu to do my white build. Love your build and video. Gratz on the card!

Great video! BUT $2000 for a 3080 wow!!!!! I bought a EVGA XC# Ultra 3080 back in November for $850 U.S. and I thought that was too much. I also wanted a white edition but instead just used vinyl White carbon fiber wrap. Painting would void warranty but the wrap can just be peeled off for RMA if I need to. Also Undervolt the card as the 30 series are undervolt monsters and your thermals can go down as much as 10c while using less power at near the same performance minus 1-2fps. Win win.

Also remember that the prices on them go up and down constantly. So, just make sure to do your DD and use your best judgement especially if we most likely won’t see white GPUs spend more than a hot second on a store or online shelf at all.

WOW, u paid an amazing price anyway because where I live we gotta pay like 2500 CAD for gigabyte, msi, zotac gpus and we all know that this exact model is the very best one not just in terms of looks but performance wise as well, sick gpu, sick build, nice work ma man!

So im getting the Lian Li case(similar to the one in the video) and the same gpu, did you need to buy another gpu cable since it requires 3 8-pin cables? or was it already in the box?
good chance the 1080p screen is bottlenecking your performance if you use the render resolution option in cold war for example and go higher than the 100 you should be able to force more utilisation onto your gpu and increase your fps this will be trial and error with what number works for you but thought id let you know
i would kill for this gpu, iv been trying to get a 3070 for like months on months now and i cannot get it for a good price or anywhere near msrp, hella jealous dawg.

The Asus ROG strix 3080 length is 318,5mm and the corsair 280x supports up to 300mm GPU's. Do they give us false info or do you need to ajust the case to make it fit? :)

your screen shot shows your CPU temp at 81 degrees and you were hitting 90 in game, thats high for water cooled and at 4800mhz
