Thanks for traveling so far, Andrew and I will be down at Hustler Jan 9th. Neeme was an excellent choice for favorite vlogger, been watching him for years.
Thanks for the tip on the live tell Doug. There’s a lot of younger vloggers who are great at gto but you are one of the few, if any, who give great live tell tips which I think is underrated nowadays.
@@dougmccuskerpoker one reason other vloggers don't share these details is because it's bad for the game in the longterm. but Doug doesn't seem to respect that
@@whatupdun I guess we should never talk about anything, no books, no training sites, no hole cams. Information is freely available now a days, I’m sure my little contribution will not be the straw that breaks the camels back.
@4:52, In general I would have called here since it's a paired board. Did you know he didn't have a boat? and or is it still +EV to go for value in this spot?
Excellent read with that Ace/King hand. Thanks for sharing some great Intel….we are looking forward to hiring some intelligence analysis in the DC area if you’re looking for a job? Keep up the great vlogging!
I love the tell, and I use it myself in both directions. Let's say I am playing 1-3 and raise to 15 pre-flop with 9-9. Not the usual raise at the table, but not ridiculous either, get two callers. The flop comes out A-Q-8 rainbow. When it gets to me, I squint at the flop again, then carefully examine my cards and bet 1/2 pot. 9 times out of ten, everyone quickly folds.
Guy who lost with QJ here. I didn't put you on flush because I gave you the wrong price to call a flush draw yet you did. I put you on (Qx..small pocket pair) and was trying to move me off my Queen. Plus I got distracted by the free swag I was being given lol. Good hand though.
Your bet sizing was good, I wasn’t getting the right price unless I could get more on the river. I feel the best way to play your hand is to check all rivers including blanks. By checking blanks, you can bluff catch, by checking non blanks like the club, you can call a smaller amount. The other option is to bet smaller and fold to a raise. Thanks for coming out to the MUG, I’m sorry the deck didn’t treat you well at the start. Thanks for writing in, love to hear your thoughts on the hand.
Ahhh the 'ol let me check my cards bit, the thing that did not show up this video is opponent looking at around the table, try to get a read on the people in the hand, and not his cards the whole time holding an AK, good read Doug, good read
I had a strong feeling you were against AA on that river ace board but also thought 56 suited was a look back then lead out hand on the AK KQ hand. 50/50 isn't bad on my part! Nice win.
With the QQ vs AAA hand I feel that you played it pretty good. Maybe a bad call on the river but your hand was underrepresented so I don’t blame you for the river. Most people would go broke here
Last night I made a 3900$ tell. I had AK suited long story short the board was QJ439 and the guy went all in and I took. A min but I grabbed a bunch of chips and looked at him and he made a tell his face was shook and called and showed him A high and I won a 11K pot
You play well at that level. You're comfortable. Stay in your comfort zone unless you feel like taking a flying leap into the Big games and have a big cushion in you crash land.... I don't see poker as a way to supplement my income...even though I'm up on the year. It's recreation and socializing when the dealer or players get chatty. It's cards. Lol. Have fun.
@@dougmccuskerpoker which is nice work if you can get it. I'm ahead at this time but with major changes & moves taking place I have no time or interest in cards. I'll get back to it at some point. Have fun doing donuts & burnouts on the green felt tarmac ...Boss 409.
He is just a bad player. He thinks AK is invincible on that flop. He should have raised you on the flop and bet turn and bet river. No one will check behind if they can beat AK.
Still in awe at meeting the “biggest poker vlogger” 🤩 fun times, Doug.

Great meeting you Doug !
That was a big bomb pot you won, great chatting with you.
Great MUG , Thanks , Doug.
Another great vlog Doug! Great break down on the tell with terrific video of it. Really awesome how you kept that pot size small! 👍👍👍
Without that information I would have bet the turn, cost me at least one big bet maybe more.
Thanks for your good tip !!!

Having a solid GTO game is vital in today’s game. With solid reads, exploitative play is very profitable. Having both will serve any player well.

I didn’t know if he filled up or not. I was likely good and felt he would call often. If I ran into a full house, oh well.
Great video, nice to know you bring your wife along at MUGs. Hope she enjoyed herself!
She is very supportive. Poker is not her thing, but socializing afterwards is. One of a kind! Lucky me.
Thanks Doug for the tip on the tell

Too many politicians in the DC area for my taste. Glad you found some value in the live read. 😀

Will do!
Absolutely loved your tempo and inflection on this vlog. Merry Christmas 🎄

There is a lot of information out there if you look for it.
You have to realize that everything you do at the table conveys information
☺️
What did the guy show down against your flush
QJ

the way those hands were edited back to back was like a 1-2 punch... i felt that Chavares. Hope you're luck changed after that. 👽
The more notice you can give me for a MUG, the better. Liked learning about that tell you discussed towards the end of the vid.
This is common in lower level games, has saved me lots of $$$ over the years.
Good tip
Merry Xmas Steven.
Love the videos mane keep it up, I'm going to Cali next year. I just started my poker vlog
Look me up when you’re in Cali.
Ahhh the 'ol let me check my cards bit, the thing that did not show up this video is opponent looking at around the table, try to get a read on the people in the hand, and not his cards the whole time holding an AK, good read Doug, good read
He was laying the trap, unfortunately for him, I was paying attention.
First! (I usually never get the chance to do this, so what the heck)
Excellent timing!
I had a strong feeling you were against AA on that river ace board but also thought 56 suited was a look back then lead out hand on the AK KQ hand. 50/50 isn't bad on my part! Nice win.
Bad river call on my part, all his value had me beat. He bet small for value, thought he would bet bigger on the river.
With the QQ vs AAA hand I feel that you played it pretty good. Maybe a bad call on the river but your hand was underrepresented so I don’t blame you for the river. Most people would go broke here
Think I could save the last bet, everything got there and I still called. 😩
@@dougmccuskerpoker You’re right. Always go with your read
The guy who said call after he didn't hear u say all still had the chance to take back that call?
He bet, I went all in, it was still his option to call or fold. He tanked for 2 minutes and called.
U play on wsop?
No, I haven’t.

Like Zeus tie
That’s all my wife, I take no credit for that. 😀
Great read with KQ. I would have donked my stack.
I’ve donked off my stack with weaker hands, felt good to avoid it this time.
dougggggg with 466 liiikes noooo dislikes i love to see it baby!
Thanks Kiran, positive feedback always makes me smile. 😀
Good luck 🏆 say howdy 🤠 to zues 🍪

Edit: nvm I re watched the hand 🤣
He is just a bad player. He thinks AK is invincible on that flop. He should have raised you on the flop and bet turn and bet river. No one will check behind if they can beat AK.
I see this tell often in lower limit games, not sure how relevant it would be at the next level. Players are better.

Thanks!
