Michael Laitman:
Dr. Laitman received his PhD In philosophy and Kabbalah from the Moscow Institute of Philosophy at the Russian Academy of Sciences, and his MSc in Medical Cybernetics from the St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University, in the faculty of Biological Medical Cybernetics. In addition to being a scientist and a researcher, Dr. Laitman has been extensively engaged in Kabbalah for the past thirty years. He has published thirty books on Kabbalah and numerous publications on Kabbalah and Science.
Dr. Laitman was the disciple and personal assistant to Rabbi Baruch Ashlag, son of Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag, author of the authoritative Sulam (Ladder) Commentary on The ZOHAR. Dr. Laitman follows in the footsteps of his mentor's mission in life - promoting the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah throughout the world. Laitman's scientific method provides individuals of all faiths, religions and cultures the precise tools necessary for embarking on an inspiring path of self-discovery and spiritual elevation focusing primarily on inner processes that individuals experience at their own pace.
In 1991, after his mentor's demise, he founded the Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Education & Research Institute. Bnei Baruch is a non-profit organization that welcomes people of all ages and lifestyles to engage in the rewarding process of studying Kabbalah. The organization charges no fee for any of its diverse activities.
Bnei Baruch produces daily live TV broadcasts of Kabbalah lessons and programs for various channels throughout the world. Bnei Baruch also broadcasts live daily video and audio Kabbalah lessons over the Internet with simultaneous translations from Hebrew to English, Russian, and Spanish.

He is the founder and the president of the Ashlag Research Institute (ARI), established to research interconnections between the sciences of our world and the science of Kabbalah.
Dr Laitman is a member of the World Wisdom Council, a think tank organization headed by Prof. Ervin Laszlo in conjunction of the Club of Budapest. Prof. Laszlo was one of the first representatives in the area of systems philosophy and general theory of evolution, and published nearly 70 books translated into as many as 18 languages.

Question: What are the basic precepts of Kabbalah?
Michael Laitman: The wisdom of Kabbalah originated in ancient Babylon, where people discovered it for the first time. It talks about the foundations of the universe of the world. And thus far, only very few people have engaged in it through the generations, but it’s been around for four and half thousand years.
But now, it is evolving and emerging because, now, we need this wisdom. And because it was hidden and closed all those years, around it, all kinds of beliefs and incorrect rumors were made about it, all kinds of misconceptions, like the wisdom of Kabbalah is a science about our lives, about the universe, about the world.
And because it was hidden for so many years, people thought that it was about mysticism, magic, misconceptions.

Unlike all other gurus, this man is a great teacher that is clearly teaching the power of a group teaching, for one purpose: "Love your neighbors as your self"....Changing in controlled egoism to controlled altruism...how can anyone has a problem with such teaching?

He speaks Russian and Hebrew; he was polished and shaped being in hand of Last of Mohegan - Rav Barukh Ashlag the son of Great Tana Baal Sulam - the author of last generations guide - Talmud Eser Sfirot!! He is from this Kabbalistic spiritual dynasty!
Laitman is literally the "Last of the Mohicans" of long chain of Kabbalist. Closest student of The Rabash, who was son and student of Baal HaSulam, revered as the greatest Kabbalist of our time.

All -isms, all ideologies, be it capitalism, socialism, libertarianism, anarchism, liberalism or nationalism, prevent Lucidity.
All beliefs, religions, traditions, philosophies, opinions, perspectives, theories, prevent Lucidity.
They act like a filter, which limits, distorts, shapes and colors all perceptions.
Therefore, your brain never Perceives anyone or anything as it actually is.
Moreover, they invent the illusion of division, separation, and disconnection among human beings, which needs conflict, violence, and suffering.
See the danger.
The brain must be Totally Free in order to Perceive what is...the isness, the fact, the act, the actual...what is actually taking place from moment to moment, free of any interpreter or censor.
Then and only then is one capable of actually Living Love, Peace, Joy, Kindness, Goodness, Compassion (Passion for All), Beauty, Creativity, Feeling, ExperiencING, Lucidity, Truth, Wisdom...in Communication, Communion, Relationship with everyone and everything, for the very first time, in each and every moment of daily life.
So first Inner Total Freedom. Then and only then can there be Outer Total Freedom in the society.
Only such a brain can usher in a Whole New Way of Living rooted in Love and Wisdom.
Without Inner Total Freedom, you will only be moving from one form of tyranny to another form of tyranny, calling it growth, progress, or evolution.

He looks so kind. Is he speaking Russian or Hebrew?
Why does Laitman never mention that the truths Kabbalah comes to are shared almost exactly by countless other esoteric schools, including the esoteric undersides of the other two Abrahamic religions (Sufism in Islam, Gnosticism in Christianity).
I can't help but feel he is constantly smuggling in a sense of Jewish supremacy.
Anyone have a response?
He has and given due credit but the problem is Kabbalah is OLDER than Abrahamic religions. It's even older than the Emerald Tablet and the writings of Hermes Trismegistus.
What do you mean by Jewish Supremacy? From an Aristotelian metaphysical POV Jewish supremacy is essentially HaShem and its substance is Torah and Midrash ie Mishnah and Gemorrah. From a Platonic World of Forms POV the lawful Jews of the Diaspora, through the perspective of Chasidut, are ideological servants to HaShem and nothing more. Therefore, I feel like you may be conflating supremacy with essence, substance and ideology. Dr Laitman is only substantiating the Zohar as a distinctly Jewish ideology given to Moses on Mt Sinai, which I feel is true because lawful Jewish ideologies allow Noahide's to believe in and swear to a Shituf, despite avoda zara.
@@NYCeesFinest doesn't Hermeticism trace it's roots back to ancient Egypt though? Or is Kabbalah even older than that? I genuinely don't know lol
After the First Temple was destroyed, this knowledge went underground. It emerged about 70 years later with Pythagoras and passed to the Greeks.
The Rabbi is correct. Kabbalah is ancient. Probably going all the way back to No'ah and Adam, as many mystical traditions have taught (often secretly) for almost 2,000 years. Since the failed Bar Khokba revolt. Our modern Traditions are based on the ideas of the survivors of that revolt. The Zohar and Talmud are born in this situation of crushing defeat.
Also a direct connection with Neo-Platonism. Especially Plotinus.
