I may be unpopular but I actually think we spent go big. We probably haven’t had enough time for the new football focused recruits to analyse and decide on the medium term approach. We have some clear gaps which we have to fill this summer. Beyond that save the money for when we have more confidence in our plans and go bigger later.
I think that INEOS will or should be judged at the end of this window. I do think we’ve got to get away from this United tax though,so if we don’t spend big it will be a good move. Even though I would like them to spend, I will understand if they don’t. UTR&UTP 16:20 I say no to spending big unless it’s done wisely
To everyone... we've been sleeping on a major revenue generator that can get reinvested in the club for too long... always thought we'd get there before Barça... think we're the last major club to do it.
Got to be the same site for me, for the history. Expand it refurbish the facilities, put an entirety new roof on it . Might take 2-3 years, but please not one of the fancy oval bowls. Square like a traditional football ground. Make it super special and unique.
I'm trying to stay positive about Ratcliffe but why spend all his money and make the Glazers more?? They'll never leave, surely he has a plan for a full takeover? Stripping backroom staff of travelling expenses is abit hypocritical, especially when servicing the Glazer Debt for decades 😑
It's not accurate to call it double standards when there are two distinct entities at Manchester United now. On one hand, there's Ineos, one of the largest chemical companies in the world. On the other, there are the Glazers, often criticized for their management. These two entities have never operated by the same standards. Labeling it as such seems a simplistic way to describe the situation.
Utd could easily generate more money. Simple comparison with Spurs shows everything. The club shop and tour were so weak when I visited recently. There was no kot available in adult sizes. Re naming rights, we can't have it all our way, we can't want to "act like a big club" and "spend like a big club" without looking at things like naming rights. The name of the stadium means little in the grand scheme, especially if we get a new 90k stadium and start winning leagues again. We won't "forget" OT, but we would soon not care about the name if we go back to where we belong.
I cant believe United fans are still putting up with the Glazzers who have pocketed over a billion pounds and not put a single coin in. We need to get rid of them
You do realise that the fans have no say, don't you? The Glazers will decide when they leave, not the fans. INEOS is now running the football department, so we'll have to wait to see how that pans out.
Not bothered with a new stadium if anything adding seats and upgrading through naming rights is fine with me as well its more revenue for the club and with FFP being what it is that matters alot and could help us have more to put back i to the squad. I would trade the nostalgia of old trafford for being able to improve our FFP numbers and be able to attract more players and sponsors.
I think its a bit simplistic to comment on measures such as the cancelation of travel expenses to the FA final as double standards. The issues I think are more complicated than that. It may have been a message by INEOS that the time of wasteful spending by the club is over. Not everyone is going to be happy when cost cutting measures are implemented in any organisation. If you aske me, I would rather have INEOS in charge of the finances than the Glazers.

why would you sell the rights of old Trafford it doesn't makes sense. When you have as little to spend as United for the coming few years you need to look at every opportunity to generate additional income. I'm open to selling the naming rights if that helps the club to speed up its rebuild by bringing in more quality players.
