Great video! Wonderful model railroad you have here! I love video's like this one that make you feel as if you are standing track side. Incredible modeling here!
Love the bn,gn together ,great layout,l am 66,you have inspired me to start my dc and dcc layouts to carry on,great whistle sounds, decoders the best I ever herd
Really lovely looking layout and operations. On the F units you've installed a red / dual LED in there for when it is the end of train? I was wondering about that and if it's your custom addition or some makers configuration. Very cool!
Thank you. So the F units are Athearn Genesis models. I added the DCC/sound (tsunami) and modified the lighting. As for the red stop/backup light I’m not really sure if it’s prototypical but like you say it looks cool 😎. Again thanks for watching🚂🇺🇸-Kevin
Thanks for posting. I really miss seeing the 1:1 scale BN's locomotives in the early green, black, and white, especially the F units. Is your model railroad based on the real Yaak River area of NW MT?
I didn’t think much of BN at first ( down on merger ) now I miss it too. As for the Yaak River RR , it is totally fictional. I have been up to the Yaak area of NW Montana several times. I didn’t live far from there at one time. It’s a beautiful place. I guess what it comes down to is that I liked the name and adopted it to a short line themed model railroad. Thanks again 😎🚂🇺🇸
@@Yaakhaaks Merger always makes it worse for railfans. I just liked the BN green, black, and white stripes. It is a nice area. There is a campground on US 2 at the confluence of the Yaak and Kootenai that I camp at just about every time I go through there. A nice branch / short line railroad town to model, with great scenery is the town of Kettle Falls in WA. There is a great campground there, too.
@scottb8175 It’s been a while since I’ve been up in the Yaak area, but I remember that campground. I used to fish the Yaak River and usually was able to squeeze in some train chasing along the way. 😎🚂🇺🇸
This is the first time your videos have come up in my YT feed. Incredible scenery on your layout and excellent camera work.
Thank you for watching and kind words. 😎🚂🇺🇸
I enjoy your subtle weathering on the rolling stock, mixed along with the clean new in service look ones.
Thank you 🚂🇺🇸

Your yard scene looks like a video I just watched about a week ago of an old milwaukee road line shoot in late 70s by an old mentor of mine.
