- Important: I am not a student of this college nor am I a doctor. I was commissioned to make a movie for a batch there.
A film I made for the alumni of VIMS, a medical college in Ahmednagar. It paves the path for future interns by showing you "rules" that one can follow in order to survive an internship. Inspired by Zombieland, of course.

Very accurate! I personally felt internship is basically the transition from Medical student to a working doctor: mainly about learning proper work ethics and basic steps in patient management. Also, residents are pretty good to interns more often than not, as long as the intern is sincere in their work. If you're mentally prepared for it, it's not very hard!

Regarding biometric attendance it got removed from most of the medical Colleges because of corona pandemic ..only good thing which corona has done for interns 😅

Same case in my hospital. After all the struggle we had with biometric attendance in final year, was so happy to see registers this year
My hospital didn't had biometric for interns. But the hospital administration gave first year residents the registers, thus giving them too much power over interns. Extension threats became so common that internship was on the side and we were busy kissing first year's ass, not all first year residents but some of them abused the power. Some deliberately submitted roll call/register late to the admin thus the stipends of many interns got postponed for 3-5 months. Some interns who had connections in the dept. got free attendance as the residents filled presence for them by order of the professors. I think biometric keeps equal ground for everyone. Alas, i don't know what are some problems related to biometric so can't really compare, can I?

Hey.....i am not a human doctor but a veterinarian but i can relate & understand the situation, when you are a learner & people expect everything from you to be done perfectly. Doctor'S life is so stressful & only doctors can understand it well 👍👍👍👍👍

A big part about being a good intern is having as small an ego as possible. Remember you are there to learn. Everyone from the lady who cleans the rooms to the staff boy that moves files across depts knows more than you do. You can learn from everyone.
Be nice to everyone and everyone will usually be nice to you.
Internship was the best part of my medical life till now. Haven't started PG yet so maybe better still to come. But a large part of that was also thanks to the amazing PGs. I never understood why these videos have people calling the residents sir and why the residents were always pissed at their interns. That shit never happens in my college. I had the most chill PGs ever.

@@medicinegenius7016 sure. But mere college mey you aren't an errand boy in first year PG like an intern , unlike some North Indian colleges(I have heard).
Humarey college mey first year PG is not involved in doing sampling or legwork. Unless it's a pleural tap that intern can't do or an ascitic tap that he has never done.
PGs are treated much better(except Ortho. Ortho mey toxic hai).
Also Bhai you need to do a year of rural in my state after MBBS. If I hadn't done internship properly I would have done a disservice to my patients. As rural mey you are reauires to do a lot of 'dirty work' like blood draws, labour room stuff, stitching, lavage etc that usually nurses or interns do in hospitals.

Solutions from a past intern
1. For pen: when u r lending the pen, don't give lid.
2. For unit or any situation like that. Type it in a nice table form and get a sign from consultant or hod. No resident have guts to change that.
3. If a fren is not coming on time, tell him/her that consultant or resident is calling him/her.

This video is like a memory lane . This is exactly what internship is like. We grow so much in this day's, r introduce to so many new people, become friends with people we never spoke in this 4.5 yrs of our journey and find amazing friends . It's like this whole 4.5 ys r incomplete without internship everyone should go though this . It builds us for our upcoming journey makes us more confident and strong. Stronger than ever, teaches us some important lesson of life. I was waiting for my internship to complete but now I think it was the best time of my mbbs career. Enjoy while it's there.

My god! The accuracy 🤣🤣 in the beginning of the internship, it feels nice to be working in the hospital after studying for all the years but in the mid of internship the reality sinks in when we realise that nobody gives a f*ck about us, the patients do not care about our explanation and answers, they still ask for Boro sir, ahhhh, even GDA also talks back to us 👁👄👁, by the end of internship, we will feel like intern is a whole another profession the way everyone says"intern this" "Intern that", we just wait for the internship to end when all the misery will end. But when it actually ends, we will miss the internship days the most. My internship ended this year only, and I miss this one year more than all the years I spent in college.

Pg watching this....I suffered a lot during my internship....first of all their nothing called friendship...try to be posted alone or do wid someone u don't know ...dis is more helpful ...I got extension..jab ki mere saath wali aaram se bach ke nikal gaye...learn tricks ... don't trust anyone...or kuch sikhna ho to open ur mouth and ask other wise no one gonna teach u....
