I'd love so see a grocery breakdown for the month. How much do you spend on cleaning, personal, household supplies and where do you buy them?
Me too
I would love to see this as well
As someone who is (fingers crossed!) hoping to move to England mid-2025, I'd love to see the grocery shop breakdown! I (single) spend nearly $100/week on healthy groceries from my local store (fruits/veg, chicken, dairy, pantry staples, no "junk," etc) so I'd love a better comparison of how that shop might look if/when I move.
if you shop in Aldi or Lidl you could be looking at about £50 a week for a single person, if that. For 2 and one weaning baby we spend about £350 per month ish
I spend about 100 a week for two people and I buy organic when I can :) hope this helps
I appreciate your honesty when it comes to the food shop, a lot of home style vlogs I watch seem to do extortionate food shop hauls and I do wonder how they budget themselves. Whilst I'm not a Mum yet, I would like to know more on that side of things and how you make your money work x Our budget is certainly a lot more, and we dont do waitrose shops!
I would LOVE to see more of your monthly shops and your menu for the week. We're lucky if we get out of a weekly shop spending less than £70!
Yesss please a vid on how you keep to that budget for food - mommy of a 18 month old just the two of us so can relate x
Definitely looking forward to any advice or recipes of easy and/or healthy meals. I figure I'll have my own list eventually, of easy meals, luxurious meals and medium effort meals to use for me and my LO
Way to go on the food allowance that you've set and keeping to it! Bc... Holy cow! There's absolutely NO WAY I could get by on $120 a month for groceries here! Well, let me rephrase that... I guess if I only had cans of soup or peanut butter sandwiches everyday. But if I am going to actually cook a meal with ingredients (besides meatless spaghetti or such) that wouldn't allow me to!
Food costs have gone up so very much here that it's nearly impossible to get decently priced foods that are somewhat healthy at the same time! I also include my household items in my grocery budget. Items like toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, soaps, trash bags, etc.
I'd enjoy seeing how you make this budget work for the 2 of you! Maybe I could get some pointers!
Agree! I’m in the US and food prices are exorbitant. I find I can’t go to the supermarket several times a week without spending $50 a pop-and that’s not enough to get me through the whole week, let alone 3 meals a day for a week. I don’t eat out at all, and really try to stretch meals/homemade recipes, but $120 is more realistic on a weekly basis than a month here. I’d have to relinquish nearly all necessities to manage and curb my cost by so much. It’s such a hit to the wallet every time you set foot out the door here.
@@MaskedViolinist07 100% agree with you on the weekly aspect regarding the budget!
My baby is your son’s age as well, and I am really enjoying your Vlogs! I wanted to ask if you’d consider sharing any recipes for the meals you are making for him in your videos? It’s so hard to find good meals for the crockpot or to batch cook for him and these look great!!
Would love to see grocery break down and also so recipe ideas for babies/toddlers that you make xx
Yes grocery budget and ideas would be amazing!
Another great vlog, can't wait to watch. ❤️
Would love to see more about your food budgeting also :)
I love your videos, I've been watching for years :) I love grocery and budget and cooking idea videos. It motivates me :)
I'd be interested in the food budget chat, I'm also wondering how you budget eating out, does a cafe lunch or takeaway come out of the £120 or is that a separate budget?
Thanks!
That chicken and leek pie looks amazing! I would love to see the recipe!
I’d say Waitrose is pretty much on par with Wegmans. Wegmans has basics but if you want something fancy, they have that too.
Would love to have your recipe for your pie! That looks amazing!
Hey! Great vlog! I just sent you a super thanks🥰🙏🏼, I think that what it’s called! I was just wondering how I use the members emoji? I figured it out once lol!
Anyway I’d love to see a video of you sharing all about grocery budget etc as a Solo Mama! When you do batch cooking what do you normally make and how much?
I agree 110% about picky babies/toddlers before Nursery/daycare! Both my babies were rather picky eaters until daycare…The daycare my kiddos went to had a wonderful chef in their kitchen that was amazing and always cooking all different dishes! I think it helps the lil kiddos not just with trying new foods and the social aspect as well…Monkey see monkey do ❤,It’s so cute when they are all together eating!
I just want to say I highly respect your decision to blur Oryn adorable lil face after turning one ❤! I hope it’s ok I mentioned this🥹! I really respect you a lot, your a fantastic Mum! Oryn is one lucky 🍀 lil man to have you in his life as his Mummy🥰!
Looking forward to your next video!
Love from Ottawa Canada 🇨🇦
I hope you Have Happy Friday and wonderful weekend☀️🤗❤️🌈!
Ps. Sorry for the long message, I’m writers so I tend to write too much sometimes🥹!
I'm not an expert, so take this with a grain of salt 😂 but I wouldn't do only 1 nap if it's only 30-40min... I would rather do 2 short naps.
However if he sleeps enough at night, it might be enough sleep if he's fine with just the 1 short nap.
My son moved to 1 nap at 16 months and his nap is around 2-2.5 hours now at 20 months.. It probably started off around 1-1.5 hours.
He is also very very clingy.. If I'm cooking or doing anything in the kitchen, he needs to see it and wants me to pick him up 🤦🏻♀️😂 serious FOMO!
My son eats a lot throughout the day... Meals and snacks (and cow's milk a few times).. But he never eats much at one meal... So I'm happy if he eats anything really.
We get dishwashers in South Africa... But it's not THAT common, everyone doesn't have one... We've never had one.. Washing by hand is normal to me 🤷🏻♀️😂
I'd definitely be interested in a video on your food budget system.
Loving the daily vlogs
Wow!!! I'm so impressed that you're able to afford a month of groceries on that budget. I know you said it's tight but in the U.S. I spend about 2.5x that budget per month on groceries if not a little more. Not to mention any meals or coffees out. It's so fascinating to see what life is like across the world in these ways.
100% agree with you on the washing up part of cooking! I'd cook all day every day if there wasn't the cleaning up aspect! Lol!
Wow we can easily spend £180-£220 a week on food for my family of 5 😮😮😮 the cost of living is an absolute joke!!!
I spend £100-200 a month on groceries for 2 people. It barely lasts and I'm a picky eater. Advice would be lovely
I spend £100 per week for me and my daughter (single mum). Please help and share meals and grocery budget. Xx
Would love to see batch cooking recipe video for baby.
also to add - youre an incredible mummy!
Just a little advice... maybe 1pm is to late for a nap and to tired to stay asleep.
I put my 15 month old to nap from 12 to 3pm and to sleep at 7pm and it has been really good ;)
Agreed. We do lunch at 11/11:15 and then wind down for a nap at around 11:30/11:45, which my toddler has been doing since he dropped to one nap. He wouldn’t last much later than that.
Mine too... some days if he has woken up to early I do aim for 11 because he can't last to 12 and hving an over tired baby means shot nap and bad day ;)
My sister had a nightmare that she'd rolled on top of the baby in her sleep. Fact, she's never co slept
Yay! For eating!
Friday is my wash day
