    Put a rim around the propeller, rotate it to become a wheel. Seems simpler to me.

    I think it’s a brilliant solution of the amphibian design requirement. Not optimized for either medium but likely able to handle more terrain variables than wheels and propellers. And would make a great toy super turtle 😅

    you can see that the sea turtle is struggling very badly on land. it's probably not a good model for your machine. this project is a waste of money.

    They could have used wide wheels that are good for driving on sand as well as land. with propeller blades as spokes for underwater propulsion.
    Obviously they had a "solution" - soft robotics - looking for a problem, and solving it very poorly.
