Loved the pottery and Target footage! It’s good to see you having fun. I️ know what you mean about being nervous for an observation even if you are a veteran teacher. Thanks for another great video!

I totally understand how you feel about observations. I get sick the day before and day of. They changed our form we need to do before and after. We need to have two formal and weekly walk through. Good luck for yours in February!!!

Love the math group ideas- I am a Sped teacher who moved from high school resource to 5/6 resource. Your videos help me so much. Nine years and I always feel like I am going to throw up before observations and IEP's

I had so many deadlines recently as well! Sometimes it makes you feel like you can't even do what you are there for- teach! You seriously stressed me out though waiting till the last day for grades. I could never pull that off!

Looks like you had a great week and found some great hobbies. You inspired me to look up pottery wheel classes to wander through memory lane of when I made pottery in Elementary school.

The math baskets you set up is what you do with the students in your small group? When you are meeting with the group, what are the other two groups working on? Thanks!

I work at an Elementary school in the Netherlands. This schoolyear I started at a new school where we also work similar to the way you work, only i have 4-8 year olds in my classroom. We are busy trying to set it up the way you are working with small groups but are struggling a little bit with the organization part.

I would really love to know more about how you run your math class. I like the way you have students working on different skills and continuing those skills until they reach mastery. I teach 3rd grade math and it moves so fast that I feel like I never get to spend enough time on any one objective.

Very inspired by how you differentiate for your students. I always find the time needed to prep for all the differentiating is never ending...on top of what I must do for every day lessons (I teach first). How do you do it all without eating, sleeping, and breathing school work all the time?

Hi Bridget that was a mighty stressful week . We also had parent conferences and I find them utterly draining. And observations turn me into a wreck, I can barely focus on anything I just get so nervous and flustered. I'm very glad yours' went well. Do your observers interact with the children or do they keep a distance?

I love your weekly vlogs! I am going into the bachelor program for elementary education next semester and your vlogs give me great insight of the day to day job! Thank you for that :) Love the arrow necklace, where did you find it? I’ve been looking for one like that and a cross one too. Keep up the great work 👍🏻💗

Jessica Thompson Good luck to you in your Bachelor's program! I finished my Master's degree in Elementary Education three weeks ago and it was a great experience! 😀 Cherish every moment of your program and take the opportunity to get into as many classrooms you can and don't be afraid to ask questions. You will be an amazing teacher! 😀

Jessica Thompson You're welcome! At the beginning of my Master's program, I was nervous as well, but with Jesus, I made it through, and finished with a 3.98 GPA! You can do it! Just remember that this is what your heart's desire is, and nothing can stop you from achieving greatness! 😀

Roderick Woodard thank you so for the inspiring kind words! I am a 29 yr. old mother of 2 and just finishing up my AA this semester. So I would guess I am starting a little later than most lol! Not going to lie, at times I question myself..... Can I do this? Am I smart enough to be a teacher? I’ve always had the upmost respect for educators and I guess that’s what leads to my own insecurities.

Jessica Thompson I have been a Paraprofessional for 8 years. Having worked with both elementary and middle school students, I have learned so much about teaching, lesson planning, observations, and so much more. It gives me the confidence to press on towards becoming a teacher next year! 😀 I commend anyone who has children and attends school. It gives children the confidence they need to be successful in their school journey! 😀 You are certainly doing that in your journey and your children most definitely will be inspired by your willingness to persevere in spite of! 😀

I don't know any of the teachers I work with nor myself that would consider what we do for observations as a dog and pony show. I strongly dislike that term but I understand what you are saying. I agree it should be a typical class and teaching/activities should be similar to what the students normally do. Teachers are one of the only professions where we are put under a microscope and critiqued for everything we do. It just makes me nervous when the observer is writing, not when they are visiting.
