Nah, that dude just doesn't know how Boston valves work. Those foot pumps achieve about 3PSI which is max you want to inflate it anyway.

We had one of these a number of years ago and while it was crap, it worked pretty well. We even cut a wood floor panel and wrapped it in carpet and fixed a few boards to it then went up and over the rear for a 12v trolling motor. Two of us with a battery and gear were able to cruise all over the place with ease. It should be noted that you have to really put a lot of air in it to actually make it firm. It won’t bend, dip, or deflect if you get it well inflated. We used an air compressor. Lol.
For some reason I love how after it stopped raining he tried so hard to not get his shoes wet then the end of the video they're completely underwater

I love the guy that does these reviews! You can tell he cares and wants to do an honest review. Funny too!
I have this boat, bought it in 2011 and it has survived all that time outside completely neglected (left inflated) under snow and many river and lake trips, and only this year 2024 developed a small leak in the outer hull. I cut a piece of plywood to make a solid floor, and bought a motor mount, an electric motor, and battery for it. I use a milk crate to sit on and cover the battery.
Thus configured it can carry two adults and one to two children.
We call it the SS John Lithgow (for obvious reasons)
80s and 90s kids remember taking those boats to them beach good times. Basically a giant floaty with a paddle
