Absolute best video I've seen yet and I've seen them all no music and straight getting it!!!!! through the whole video the way it should be and what we all wanna see!! Tuba you killed it with this video!!!
Some of the shots showed some really cool sidewall flex. And after being around these tires first hand, and knowing how they are constructed and how strong the sidewalls are...that's incredible.
Who are the guys that race these trucks, are they pro's or got very deep pockets. The air time @7:00 is just awesome. Either way I love it & I want to do it. 😁😁😁😁
Even at full video speed, you can literally see the physical beating these tires & suspension are taking. It's a wonder they don't trash more tires than they do. Incredible.
The tires are special made just for the sport. Nothing else can hold up. The construction is significantly stronger than anything sold for any other market. You can't even really buy these tires as a regular joe like on a website or something, you kinda got to set up a special deal with the manufacturers. At least that's how it was when I was pit crew on these kinds of teams.
Awesome video as usual YouTuba. There are some Incredible Trucks and some Incredible drivers and then a very minor few like JL who have a truck so well setup, team to back him and the talent to put it all together.
Reminds me of a young Robby Gordon. When carrying momentum was still mandatory. Before trucks were making 650 whp with 42 inch tires. That save tho, jedi reflexes man. Fuggin jedi.
I've been hearing lately the top TT motors are at about 1,000 crank. Like for example some of the teams who have top tier Joe Gibbs engines. You think after the trans and R&P it's about 650? Probably close. Just wondering out loud. When I first got in the sport it was hard to make about 800 hp reliably. I say reliably because the environment they run in is obviously extreme. Very cool that slowly over 20 years that I've been watching the sport they are still creeping up the HP scale.
@@mjodr so rule of thumb is through a torque converter automatic you lose about 15%. Then 42 inch tires and all that unsprung weight probably tack on another 10% id say. So maybe like 750 wheel if the engine makes 1000 at the flywheel. Progression bro. I didn't think shit could get crazier than the terrible herbst truggy in like '03 but, here we are.
@@mjodr Right? I mean shit man my pre runner cycles 28 inches in the rear and 24 up front. Every part was an off the shelf bolt on part using the OEM pickups. Its a 2 wheel drive 2013 EcoBoost f150 short bed regular cab with all camburg long travel. It has the upgraded Garrett turbos and intercooler, e85, 1500cc injectors, 2 walbro 550s, and i converted rhe turbos to an externally gated setup. Way more control over the boost that way. Besides it sounds way cooler. She made 474 whp and 508 foot pounds with 39s. The little 3.5 liter duratec v6 is an absolute tank man. I cannot believe what it takes and hasnt lost any compression whatsoever. I have 183,724 miles on it now. Never overheats, never breaks, and it turned me into a ford man. Ive jumped a 90 foot tabletop on a motocross track after racing a year ago. Just greased it. Scared the shit outta me how high i got but i caught the downside and barely touched the bump stops.
When I think Jimco, I think of Lofton and Voss... both dude straight wheelmen. Lofton is fast no matter what he drives, and he's a checkers or wreckers guy, always pushing his vehicle to the limits 🤙🤙🙏🙏
Wow!! ten thousand times … It’s been long since I said that.. maybe first time I saw Travis did a double back flip .. This looks crazy .. ! What a suspension … !!! .
Let me first say i love this video. Are these short course races? Isnt part of the skill in driving these trucks being fast and not beating the hell out of them?
Beast mode. I never drove one would love to. I see a lot off videos, and I'm always watching the suspensions. And I noticed the trucks that look like there floating drive the best. Its hard to explain. Some take a jump and it looks like the truck never left the ground and some just are all over. Lol I may just be talking crazy. But man o man would I love doing 150 in the dirt and not going to jail.
I got to ride in a class 1 buggy once. At the time, the buggy and driver usually ran front of the pack, so it was a legit car. The 15 minute ride I got was the most insane experience I have ever had. The thing that stuck out the most was how you felt like you were floating. We would go airborne on a big bump and I would brace for impact but you would never feel any impact. I can only imagine how these trucks feel.
It does seem set up incredibly well. Like they've spent a lot of hours tuning it. Nothing seems to upset it too much even when things get hairball. Like the last bit of travel is well controlled. There was a part where he was hard on the brakes and had the nose stuffed deep while simultaneously soaking up some very sizable whoops. That's impressive.
Justin is use to driving on the EDGE, for him it's no big whoop! For the rest of us it's just cool to watch how fast a 2wd can really go through a section!
I think it's probably very fun / satisfying after a race to clean and inspect the truck for damage / tweakage. The tear down and refurb the truck after a race might not be as fun but I bet it is rewarding.
@@freethinkingamerican80 I meant to say alleviate not elevate. The 4wd might be able to go faster but there is nothing cooler than a 2wd giving all it’s got on some whoops.

Yes it's more excited than circuit racing cliches corners
He spends as much time on the sidewalls as on the tread!
It's like a ten minute lecture on the importance of bead locks🤣

Yeah!!! Dont leave home without em😝😝😝!!!
Yeah, this guy no longer has chicken strips... on car tires
Dear lord who edited this?
You are a GOD
Every motorsports video should try to be more like this!
The best desert racing content ever!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
Tuba, great compilation of one of my favorite drivers! Nice one
The fact that these trucks don't just immediately explode into a million pieces is amazing.
What an incredible video compilation. Thank you so so much for sharing this.
No Music! Pure mean machine! love it!!!!
This video is absolutely the gnarliest of being on the edge of control. Justin Lofton sure has some big balls.💯💯😜😜🏁🏁☝️☝️
The definition of on the driving on the razors edge. Another bad ass video 👍👍
Flat out awsome footage!!!
Truly awesome. Pedal to the metal and don’t spare the revs. Great to watch. Thanks.
Absolutely killer footage!!
That was superb
He can drive the hell out a truck . It is amazing how these trucks just absorb and react to terrain. This would be one fun ride...
