The fact that the world is enjoying and reaping the benefits of HEVs and EV technology while we are still stuck on the past only means that we really really need to adopt and develop the infrastructures to support this technology further than ever if we want less gas hikes due to high demand and unnecessary wastage from sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for hours. The EVIDA Law atleast gives us hope in making this closer to possibility, but like Tesla Supercharger networks and more affordability price-wise on the cars themselves should make living with one much more easier. The advancements in battery tech alone should give confidence in owning and driving one as comparable, if not even better, than gas-fed ICE cars.
it's high time we get out of our comfort zones and adapt to new changes. Napag-iiwanan na tayo ng ibang bansa, pipigilan mo pa ba?
I saw the full video and the reviewer was worried even with over 20% battery approaching Manila. That’s a lot of juice for an atto 3 on his way to his office. This is why Philippines has people lagging behind in understanding electrification. It’s the blind leading the blind. This misinformed reviewer becomes an authority to misinformed Filipino public. The reviewer makes the tip to “plan ahead” sound like a complex thing to do. You just have to make simple computations, people. If you don’t want to, or can’t, the car even has a system that does that for you.
Yeah, even caco cannot hide his love for legacy cars. Ev owners should review ev cars, not petrol car owners.
I agree. EV owners with engineering background are the ones you should consider listening to.
For those people who don't understand, EVs are already here and you can't stop it, just like any other technology. It's either you mock them for being hassle vehicle or you're the kind of person who says "don't", "ICE is still the best". These tips are for early adopters who has an ability to purchase the vehicle and looking for suggestions how to plan their trip in the Philippines as of 2024.
Exactly my thoughts. Keep buying & driving an ICE car or SUV or MPV or whatever it is that you want, we still do it on a daily basis anyways. Just don't ruin these new and welcome solutions in the ever-changing PH automobile landscape for the rest of us who wants it. We're not pooping on your parade so kindly do the same for us.
Relax, no one's mocking these EVs. The problem with typical pinoys is this: people start to criticize and ask questions, then the fans start taking it personally, acting as if they invented or designed the EVs. They dont even own one! The questions and concerns being raised are actually valid. Even Caco couldn't resist charging the Atto 3 mid trip even when there's enough juice left, hence not being able to test the range properly. And that alone proves the point of people with concerns.
@@laspinas1986I beg to disagree on the "no one's mocking EVs" statement. There is mockery and cynicism out there but to you're point that's totally ok and to be expected with any technology.
Do you have review on BYD Tang ev?
Kindly feature a local EV vehicle

The fact that there needs to be videos on tips to make ev’s complete a trip tells you all you need to know about this technology at this time.
It's change Management. We need to start somewhere... Awareness is part of it
MG Cyberster review when
For the time being I can only see EVs as a 2nd car, great for daily city drive. For us at least who loves to travel from Dipolog City to Bicol by land. I just cant imagine myself having to wait for the battery to fill up.
Paano mangyari yung Dipolog to Bicol by land?
Ser, parang naskip yata yung roro
is there an app here in PH to see charging stations and can also plans routes for you? if i remember in the US the have one.
Here’s my EV tips: put more chargers around the country to lessen or remove anxiety
Hey caco when are you gonna full review the All New Mitsubishi Triton Athlete??? Please choose the graphite gray to review
We need to adopt the changes of the technology.

ICE or Internal Combustion Engine is still hassle-free regardless of circumstance.
ICE or HEV/PHEV possible
Anong hassle sa ev? Watch the full video. Never sila na-hassle
@@reefmint you need to charge once in a while and it takes alot of time compare to an ICE. 5mins of Gas Refill vs 30-1hr recharge, that is one.
@@reefmint Weigth dependent, Weight is Directly Proportional to the consumption of electric power , more weight, more electric power needed to accelerate
@@reefmintdid you even watch the atto 3 drive to elyu? They couldnt even resist charging once they got to Rosario. Shows how range anxiety is still a thing. Also didnt show how one can charge once youre in the hotel parking slot. Is there even one. If there is, will the hotel even allow you. If they do, will they charge you. The gray atto 3, being a dynamic model, only had 20+% left when the owner got to Rosario. They're lucky no ones using the charging slots when they got to Shell. Lets say 4 cars are lined up, and there are only 2 slots available, that's additional 3 hours (2 for the first 4 then 1 for you) added to your travel. Now your elyu trip just got bumped to 7.5 hours. So yeah, not a hassle.
And testdriveph even pointed out, through comments, that charging using the included portable charger isn't as easy as finding an outlet and plugging it in. So even if you find a charging port in the parking lot of your destination, you have a couple of things to consider before plugging in.
People are still positive about EVs, don't get us wrong, but until infrastructure is abundant to lessen the need to plan the trip properly, then EVs will still be a hassle. And this is also why I'm in every atto 3 review right now, because I'm seriously considering getting one. But i dont want to be the typical pinoy who defends EVs. I also need to know the good and bad. And the bads don't have to be kept in the dark.
Hello Sir, planning to buy the Honda CR-V VX Variant, can you make a quick review of it? Just want to be sure
Buy an EV. EVs are more powerful, smoother, and have less maintenance costs.
@@PitchXfork don’t like to wait to long for charging, and charging ports are only somewhat common in Manila, in other province, you can rarely find an Charging Station

One more thing people don't talk enough about EVs, and most reviewers don't cover: what happens when your battery dies outside of warrant? How much will that cost you to replace? Whats the typical lifespan of the battery before replacing?
Companies could offer a battery swap for free. I expect that to be a promo deal a few years from now. Nio had done that, which suggests it's feasible. Remember, batteries are recyclable unlike gasoline. Used batteries after ten years or so are still valuable. Talk to your engineer friends. You can even DIY battery replacement honestly but you need to geek out on electrical engineering and must have computer know how. This wouldn't be like your typical transaction with a mechanic, that you need trust because you are clueless about those thousands of small parts under the hood. EV mechanism is more straightforward.
What happen to jack?... where is jack..? Why is jack...
hey sir caco a good day!, have you tried rolling out in an ev going south luzon??? say legazpi city?? maybe you could at least have a video on that sir, it is specifically the number one factor we, albayanos are having second thought of buying ev's, we just couldn't figure out how to reach to and fro manila with the limited range ev's currently have. salamat sir, we'll be waiting for that video sir. more POWER????. maybe more RANGE hehe
Audi was doing a Manils to Legazpi 480km trip with the E-Tron Q8-55 With 106KWh battery there were 12% left.
@@rolandfunk7032couldn’t find it. Can you please share the link? TIA
Mag compute ka lang ng distance versus range. Bakit ba hirap na hirap mag compute ang mga pilipino?
Audi has not made a UA-cam video out of it, just a few seconds marketing clip and it was mentioned in written articles (not in videos). So you have to search in Google not YT.
Imagine not just waiting for the battery to charge up to 80% at least, but also lining up to the charging ports once more and more people use EVs

The largest issue with EVs are the costs associated with battery life and replacement expenses, which can exceed the price of the vehicle. 😂 Internal combustion engine vehicles are not considered disposable the way EVs are currently thought. Many in the industry are realizing the impracticability costs of battery replacement, and the public hasn't yet figured out the hidden cost associated with these vehicles. 😢
How much is battery replacement after 8 yrs??? Around P300k. That is way less than the gasoline cost you covered which is 500 to 700k in 8yrs (not considering the monthly petrol price increase)
You're talking about Hyundai's battery replacement issue in North America which was fixed already. These companies from China never had that issue. Even Nio could offer a battery swap for free. They did that, which suggests it's feasible. Remember, batteries are recyclable unlike gasoline. Used batteries after ten years or so are still valuable. Talk to your engineer friends.
Let’s try some math here….
1-2m = Hybrid/Gas/Diesel
3-5m = EV
Gas/Diesel price = 1.1 up to 1.5m (of course depends on inflation etc but this is the estimate)
8k/month X 12(1 year) X 12 years (expecting cars lifetime)
So you will be spending around 2-3 million for a gas/diesel/hybrid car for about 10-12 years
Then 3.5-5.5 in EV. (Add your electric consumption and etc as well.
Please ADD more realistic / logical information for PROS AND CONS.
Thanks
