Good to see you in a video Kyle.
also, this was a very good overview of your stock sales, I would love to see more of what is selling for you guys in Shutterstock in this video you glossed over that even though you did then show what was selling on adobe so kind of saw some of that.
I know of something that will be great for you guys to submit stock video easier and save you time ill post it in another comment cause the link will probably be marked as spam:

basically, this company submits your video to 6 stock sites at the same time and for that, they take 15% of the commissions, might seem like a lot but the time it saves with descriptions and tagging is worth it in my opinion: blackbox.global (also if you do sign up please use my referral code: JU9UYOBI it doesnt give me much but it does help me a little at no cost to you)

@@MakeSushi1 haha thanks!! Yeah we've definitely looked into blackbox, but wanted to try submitting on our own first. Do you know what all six sites they currently upload to? The last we looked they were only doing 4! We'll definitely revisit it again! Thanks so much!

Oh, as for what's selling, good idea! We absolutely intend to make a video on later! We just figured we haven't been doing this for very long just yet. Right now we don't know what will become best sellers for us, and what are one off flukes that may never sell again. But we'll definitely dive into this once we have more data!

Thanks for the detailed video! If you're finding yourselves checking Shutterstock sales too often you could get the app, which sends you a notification every time an image sells for the first time, and sends you a summary of the previous days sales in the mornings. I'd say 2 months is way too short a time to see real progress, even with a large portfolio. I've been doing stock for 7 months and have only recently started seeing momentum, with images I posted back in March finally generating sales now. Video is without doubt the best place to focus. I've had 88 sales on Shutterstock in total so far, of which only 4 have been video sales - but those four HD video sales have earned more than two thirds of my total stock income. Once you see video sales come in you'll get a new burst of motivation. Good luck and keep posting!

Yaaasssss! Thanks Maddie! That is so great to hear! Are you posting to multiple stock sites, or just Shutterstock? We actually did download the Shutterstock app! Haha and we check that a decent amount. Just because it's fun. Thanks for your comment! ❤️

@@jdandkylestock3482 Yes, at the moment I'm submitting to Shutterstock, Adobe, Dreamstime, Bigstock, Alamy (no sales there yet) and iStock. Shutterstock outdoes the others my miles, in fact I've yet to hit on what sells on Adobe, Dreamstime and Bigstock as the small number of sales on there have no real theme for me to build on, but I will figure it out! I had a look at your video portfolio and would love to see you talk about how you make the stop motion clips, they are really fun. :D

@@maddiem5921 haha we're in the same boat with not seeing many sale on other platforms, although Adobe and Shutterstock are neck and neck for us. We haven't sold any stop motion yet, but it was fun to make! And you get photos and video out of it, so I like that aspect of them! What about stop motion are you interested in? Just how to create them?

oh, by the way, I made the same mistake buying the DJI Osmo for stock 😂 🤣 so far I have not sold anything from the Osmo, I did have other video sales from other cameras though... my GF sold a video from her iPhone so thats amazing to me, she made 48$ from that

    • @jdandkylestock3482

Whaaaaattt that's crazy!! We're starting to think the best types of videos to create with the osmo are landscapes under ideal/ perfect lighting situations. We've tried doing everything else, and we think the lens might be too wide. We've only made one video sale from it so far! When your girlfriend sold her video with her cell phone, what was the clip? Did she have a stabilizer/ gimbal? Or was it handheld?
