      Hey @leoandlongevity I would love if yall could talk about the therapeutic potential of some of these drugs that may be ignored due to the stigma around steroids? I have a connective tissue disorder that could benefit from an increased strength/size aspect as well as strength to weight ratio. I have various circumstances surrounding my health that contribute to my current state.
      Including: Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Mild Autism, Recovered from MRSA where no guy wants to get MRSA and had associated exposure to antibiotics. All paired with repeated high radiation imaging directly pointed at my male appendage.

    I’m from Canada and I’m very greatful to live here, but our medical system definitely needs a lot of work. Long wait times and very little doctors available in my area. I estimate I’ll be waiting like 1-3 years to get one, we rely on the walk in clinic or hospital. To get hormone therapy I have to go to an anti aging clinic. Also I absolutely love Boston’s genuine positivity and encouraging attitude, much love from Canada! 🇨🇦❤️✊

    • @leftphilange69

      @@nikvanscoyk4427 yes you could definitely pay for one in Vancouver (I live here too btw, it’s gonna be 36 degrees this Friday 🥵 kill me) but it might be hard to find anyways because they’re in high demand since we’re all crazy here, lol. Specialists take a very long time to get through the free medical system.
      If you ever are in mental health crisis though, you can go to places like the crisis centre, rapid access clinic or saint Paul’s hospital and they’ll fast track you to see a psychiatrist as an outpatient. I unfortunately speak from experience but it might be worth it if you can’t wait. The secret to getting things done quick in Canada is to go to the emergency room and you’ll get tests done that day.

      I asked for a blood test to look at test and other things but they told me they only give out testosterone tests for people with ED. I asked to pay out of pocket and the doctor said no. Not sure what to do, not a huge fan of the medical system in Canada right now.

    Canada’s free healthcare isn’t amazing but it’s great to have a universal safeguard for people who can’t afford anything. We still have private healthcare that you can opt in if you have insurance or $ which is top notch. I can pay out of pocket for an MRI tomorrow if I want, or I can wait for 8 months and get it for free… 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @leftphilange69
      @leftphilange69 3 роки тому +3

      @@Anon.G I think you’re mistaken brother… I’ve paid many times to have things fast-tracked when going through the traditional method would’ve taken multiple referrals and lengthy wait times. You can always pay to have a procedure done out of pocket if it’s deemed medically necessary and you don’t want to wait (or can’t wait). Or you could go down to the states too. I think what you’re getting at is that the government sponsored medical care is not allowed to be privatized and is separate from private practice.
      From a quick Google search “Still, there is technically no blanket federal ban on private healthcare in Canada. Any physician can decide to go private, provided that they completely opt out of working for the public system. ... By some estimates, roughly 1% of critical medical care in Canada is done outside the public system.”
      Semantics, maybe. I pay for private psychiatry and it’s perfectly legal and advertised. You can look up private practices in your city and you’ll find many.

    • @leftphilange69
      @leftphilange69 3 роки тому +2

      @@Anon.G oh okay, I didn’t see you said specific procedures - I don’t know about that, I’ll research later. I suspect it’s more it’s infeasible for certain types of medical care to privatize because of the market demand, but I’ll check to be sure.

    I live in the U.K. where we have the NHS. Everybody seems to think if we didn’t have the NHS it would be like the horror stories where an uninsured American is paying thousands a month on asthma drugs. Germany is a better comparison - the NHS is comparatively awful for non-urgent care.
